Unfortunately after looking through the different reviews across the Internet, most of the reviews…read morefor Villa tree service are two years and older. The only one on this particular site is 7 years old. I use to hire this company. In fact twice as well other neighbors have. But things have definitely changed. The last time I used him another company showed up and did the work. The last time I called for work he came out a couple of days after he was already supposed to have been here. I had 6 trees that I wanted pruned. Drive up and reach from the bucket. He gave me a bid of $1700 which was absurd and then scheduled a day. Never showed up. I called and apparently Elizabeth no longer answers the phone she gets a message and text you back. So your texting instead of communicating by phone. Secondly... I rescheduled a second time. No show. Again instead of them calling me I had to reach out again. This went on for 27 days. Absolutely unprofessional and I personally think that Ignacio is not able to do the work on his own anymore and is dependant on another company. I'm not disputing how nice Ignacio and Elizabeth are but they are not taking care of business like they use to. So after the 27th day I reached out to Elizabeth and said this is unacceptable and I cancelled and said never again. The only response I received was Yes Sir.

Mr. Villa and his family did a wonderful job for me here in Elkins Lake, Huntsville, TX. I do not…read moreknow how far out of Huntsville he will go, but his prices were very competitive and the service is excellent. His business literature shows he has been in business for over 30 years, and I believe he is a very knowledgeable person. He brought his big lift bucket truck and over a two day period he took care of every tree on my property, including two that were in pretty bad shape. This is the first time I have used his services, I learned of him from my next door neighbor who I believe has used him for many years. I have not received any type of discount or free service for this review and I have not been paid anything to post it.

I don't usually write reviews but really need to aware people. Also, I write this after hiring this…read morecompany though having read the other negative reviews which I ignored so please if you are considering this company, read this! Very bad experience! If you want to waste your time and money then go right ahead. The owner/only laborer will sweet talk you before you sign a contract with him and make promises, later came to find out he doesn't even have a truck to bring the equipment needed to deliver the services he agreed to. Then had the audacity to ask me to borrow MY personal truck to deliver the machine! Another thing you might want to be aware of is that the contract stated he gets a big deposit upon signing.. people if the contractor asks for money up front for a small project it should immediately raise a red flag! Real professional contractors usually won't require deposits(unless it's a big job) and won't require any money until the job is done! Don't make the mistake I did. I made the mistake to pay him 90% of the total bid quantity. He even admitted that he needed more money to pay his personal bills. After two weeks of going back and forth with this guy he tells me to pay him more so that he can buy the material(concrete) needed to finish the job! After I refused and told him I wasn't going to furnish the material for him(which was clearly stated in the contract and showed him) he said he was going to pack his stuff and leave until I paid. Least to say he didn't come back and he robbed me of my money for pushing dirt around and cutting brush around trees. Horrible experience and I surely learned my lesson. Be careful out there guys, there are bad contractors out there as well as good contractors. Best advice I could give is to find a referred contractor with some references, if not then find one that specializes in the work you have, not a "handyman" that can do any type of work. Oh I also cannot forget about the 10:30 am starting time, 2 hr lunches and 3:30 pm quitting time(Thank you home security cameras) also, expect messy work and trash in the yard upon leaving.

Instead his wife called, much later, wanting to come to my work to get the check. She did agree to meet me at the property so I could verify the work. When we met we went over the work and I pointed out things that didn't get done. She assured me Justin would take care of it. Justin did send me a txt acknowledging he needed to finish up and would be out the next week. I called him to find out when. He started rambling on with excuses and again not listening. I ask him to stop talking so I could tell him what I expected and he went off on a rant, very rude, so I finally just hung up. I txt him the next Monday asking when he would be back and his reply was he did not have an exact time. It's been over 2 weeks and I haven't heard a word from him.
