Eric and his crew were courteous and professional and did a great job in implementing my plan with some good suggestions they made to it. It is nearly the height of the floor of my house, and has a sitting wall and a stone countertop, and a step to the ground. Eric re-graded and re-seeded my yard and did a good job with that too. The project came in at their bid amount, and they worked diligently to get this done in 2-3 weeks. I couldn't be more pleased! I'll see if I need to add any shade to this space this year, and will add some landscaping too. So, I am happy to have a large and useable outdoor space as part of my home now and plan on spending a lot more time enjoying the outdoors there this year. Tom W.

Had them install concrete edging. Have seen this in a few other places and thought it was very…read morenice. I don't think these guys installed it though. Overall the product I think is good but, installation was pretty sloppy and unprofessional in my opinion. When they cut the sod out they left lots of gaps around edging that will have to be filled in and reseeded. There was spilled concrete in the grass all around the yard, color of concrete is not even, and it seems the edging should be deeper in the ground hope it will settle. Lots of excess concrete inside edging too, I guess we will just try and cover it up. In the spring we found some of the edging seemed to dissolve. We called them, and they did return and fix the issue no charge. Overall it's going on our third summer and we're very happy with the product! So I'm bumping review from 3 stars to 4

They were asked to "trim the trees" and remove deadwood from the river birches. Unfortunately, we…read morewere left with just the top of the trees! 25 years of growth ruined! I can not begin to express our disappointment in quality work, lack of communication, and ruining the shape of the 25 year old trees. They will never look the same again. (Credentials: My partner is a state certified aborist visiting from MA. Her opinion below) Birches are meant to be fully shaped! They didn't ask what the homeowner wanted and, when asked, disregarded the concern halfway through cutting all the way up the side of the trees. We had hired an expert and were left with poorly shaped trees and ruts in the yard from the bucket truck. Sadly, they will not take responsibility for either or offer to fix these oversights. They did not consult the homeowner or walk the property with her or ask what her priorities are. No regard for customers' desires. The foreman stated, "This is how the owner wants the trees to look." (The foreman shared that he worked for the state highway department. I have seen they often trim trees back to the trunk ) My partner, a professional state certified arborist, call for no more than 30% trimming and shared, "They were just lazy, and didn't want to climb to remove the proper braches. They should have consulted the customer." Is this the work you want from an expert? Now the trees will never be the same, The lower growth will NEVER COME BACK. Update: The customer, my mother, is so incredibly unhappy with the work and doesn't want to revisit how upset she is. Nothing can be done to fix the atrocities done to the trees, and she doesn't want to break down over the phone. I am speaking on what she can't bear to share: how ruined the trees were after signing a contract. You should be ashamed for taking advantage of the elderly with a contract missing industry standard language of "remove branches 2 in diameter" or "remove branches 10 ft and below."

Period so so they came out later did a survey on it and found that there was a slightly hired at that at one point then they came out two days later and redid that section that was the problem and completely removed and replaced that section . Since that time we have not had a problem at all. The staff was great and went out of their way to answer any questions we had. I recommend American Paving as the company to go with.
