I recently had a large brick patio installed in my back yard and I could not recommend Lawn Boys…read moremore highly, but I'll zero in on a few areas where I was specifically impressed 1. Spencer struck a wonderful balance between listening to what I wanted and offering expert advice. This was my first such project and while I had some aesthetic ideas, I needed a lot of help in figuring out what I wanted. The approach both fit into the limited notion I had, but also was broadly appealing (we didn't create a monstrosity that only I would like) 2. We did a great job working within the budget my wife and I laid out. We were given some options to control the cost, some of which made sense to us and others that didn't, but the options were ours--a key component was taking some "wasted space" and turning it into flower beds, and creating a contoured walkway to a secondary door rather than paving the whole thing. This looks fantastic and took the edge off of the overall expense. 3. The team works hard and over- delivers. For starters, Lawn Boys immediately put a lot of thought not only into the patio, but those thighs peripheral to it, like the flower beds including the plants in it, the lead-up to the patio from the yard, and the bordering of the patio to the yard. Lawn Boys left me with a "complete" project and not something that created a series of smaller projects for me after they were done. This holistic approach was evident even in the initial meeting where we discussed far more than the brick, this made Lawn Boys stand out from its competition forum the get-go. Secondly, Lawn Boys was able to start a full week earlier than I was quoted, and that was in the middle of the busy summer season. Lastly, due to the pandemic, I was home through the entirety of the project and was able to observe the team from time to time. The attention to craftsmanship and detail was superb as I watch the guys measure, remeasure and level numerous times to make sure it was just right. They worked exceptionally hard during a very hot week, and it shows in the results. I couldn't be happier.

Gavyn and Alan came out to my house twice for the quote and spent a significant amount of time…read moredoing a thorough analysis of my situation. As soon as weather permitted, they installed a couple window wells and fixed the grading along one wall of my house over the course of a weekend. They also extended and buried one of my gutters to ensure that water was in fact flowing far away from my foundation. Living on clay soil, this meant that I went from having a babbling brook in my basement during rainstorms, to no water coming in at all. It's been a huge relief, and I'm incredibly grateful to the both of them for their considerate and honest assessment and resolution of the issues I was having. Should I need to do any similar projects, I won't hesitate to call Gavyn.

We have a very…read morelong driveway that had some sections needing repair after years and heavy equipment on it, also a corner of driveway right along the house had settled and when it rained water would flow in along the foundation. After removing the damaged sections it turns out a drainage pipe had been crushed under the driveway and water had eroded beneath the garage requiring more extensive work and repair. They were fantastic, very flexible with their original estimate and helped us decide on adjusting the scope of the job to accommodate the additional work needed. Their pricing is extremely fair and reasonable also. They did a beautiful job, the concrete pour was great and they graded everything so that water now drains beautifully where we want it to go and away from the foundation. The entire crew was extremely friendly and conscientious, and they took great care to cover surrounding walls, foundation, etc with plastic so nothing got spattered during the pour. They also cleaned up everything beautifully afterwards, right down to replacing sod along the driveway and landscaping fabric and rocks in a garden area. They also did extensive concrete work for my in-laws who were equally pleased with their work. Highly recommend!

The smaller place needed to have a dead tree cut down and the larger place just needed to have a fallen tree cut up. For the tree removal at the smaller place, the tree was removed, but none of the resulting mess was cleared from the property. The owners of the place ended up cleaning up all the sticks, etc. that was left. The cleanup should have been included in the cost of the tree removal especially since Tree West made a profit from the sale of the tree. For the fallen tree at the other house, some of the tree was cut up and stacked in the yard, but there is still a large portion of the limb that is still lying in the front yard. No one ever came back to finish the job.
