Wonderful place if you don't feel like driving out to nampa for the Rollerdrome!! It is a bit of a small rink but good considering the place used to be a bowling alley. Clean place with nice employees based on all my interactions with them, I will say the owner can sometimes be rather stern but the only times that has happened was because I was breaking a rule so that's on me. They have a large variety of food for prices that aren't too bad, plus a shop with skating supplies. They also have some arcade games and pool tables if you get sick of skating, but personally I haven't tried them out because I've never gotten sick of skating at this place. The community here is amazing, especially adult night it's always tons of fun. I enjoy that they play a variety of music so there's bound to be some good songs every time you go. Overall this place is amazing if you love skating for self expression. The regulars and employees are awesome and this is one of my favorite places to go when me and my boyfriend both have a day off. The only thing I wish is that they were open more!! read more

Skating rink has a good smooth surface. DJ is engaged and good tunes are kicking. We had fun skating and hanging out. Pool table malfunctioned and didn't kick out all of the balls and we asked for help three times to address it. We were told give them a couple of minutes. Help never came. We recovered and made a game from what we had available. Good prices on food. read more

I had such a blast here a few months ago... it was a nice mix of all ages... I'd say mostly 30+? (At the adults only sessions... ) but clearly the ages ranged from 18-78ish I highly recommend. I admit the music mix wasn't as varied as I would have preferred, but such a great way to just have some wholesome recreation... in a clean & chill environment.. read more

I love love love skating! That part happens at this rink so that's good! The floor was fine. The music was fine. Gatorade is $1 cheaper than water FYI and there are drinking fountains by the bathroom. When I asked for a song the first time I went I was told the song was about a stripper (which I researched Pink Pony Club btw and I could see how you might think that but it's actually not about that if you look into it...) and it wasn't that you said no or were wrong about what you thought, but the manner in which it was said came across as disrespectful and left me feeling uncomfortable. Also, the next song that you played was about someone going to 3rd base. LOL And this time you played Cake by the Ocean (which means 4th base by the ocean) and In Da Club by 50 cent which has the lyric he's into going to "4th base", not into making love, so come give me a rub. Which is better? Pink pony club or that? Do better and pick a lane. This time tweens were skating around attempting to put stickers on little kids backs but they were skating so fast the kids were getting hit in the arm and some got knocked over. There are rules stated at the beginning but no follow through of these rules. They need an employee out there on the actual rink to monitor behavior. (I confess I chewed gum without trying to hide it the whole entire time the first time I went but you didn't even notice, for example.) I didn't feel safe skating because of the lack of monitoring and enforcement of rules around reckless skating. I need a place that is looking out for these sorts of things so I don't have to be SO alert when I'm there to relax and play. Did I mention I love to skate? So much! It's therapy for me! However, I am literally going to vent about this experience to my therapist tomorrow. Oh, some good things to mention because there were some good things: It was clean. It was cool looking. Plenty of parking. Feels nostalgic. $36 for three people and we brought our own skates. Fun was had because life is what you make it, but I would advise you to do something else. read more

Staff is amazing and very helpful! Even when it's super busy, they do their absolute best to accommodate and be in three places at once. I've seen some poor reviews for things out of their control, ie number of songs played in the 2 hour session, not having enough skatemates for 150+ kids, but if you actually have realistic expectations and understanding of things, this place is the best. read more

Great place to learn how to skate. Clean facility, carpet smells clean and not sticky. Bathroom is always neat, plenty of paper towels and toilet paper in each stall even in busy afternoons. Been here a few times and each time we came it was awesome. Tammy takes great pride in maintaining a safe environment. When my child was having a skate lesson, she made sure that only parents with kids having their lesson are allowed to watch. She threw out the creepy guy watching without a kid. Skate lesson is $45 for 4 /1 hour lesson every Sat plus 1 free rental of skate or $15 /1 hour. Music is fun. Lots of fun disco and 80's music and also beats from the 90's and beyond. It gets busy on a Sat or Sun afternoon. Prices are reasonable and unlike the Nampa Rollerdome, very clean. Better to just bring your own rollerblade or skates because usually the rentals have might be a bit battered from use. The only request probably I would make is toilet seat liner. I noticed that this is not common in Idaho but since there a lot of transplants here we really need toilet seat covers. Prices for snacks and booze are good too and pretty reasonable. read more

I have really enjoyed skating with my family and friends here over the past two months, but I will not be returning after my last experience there, which was my daughter's 8th birthday. The whole experience was rough because the pizza oven was broken and my pizza had to be ordered, but would have all been okay, until the manager/owner who has been mentioned in multiple other reviews came up and interrupted my daughter opening presents and kicked the entire party out of the building right at 3:00, even though my daughter was just finishing up opening presents. My daughter needed maybe 5-10 more minutes (which I consider reasonable because the pizza delivery delayed us eating) but the manager came up and informed everyone that if anyone wanted to stay they all had to pay $5 to watch my daughter finish opening presents. My guests were shocked and angry. Who does that to a little girl on their birthday?! Nobody was still skating, and we were tucked away in a corner, but the manager said she "needed the space" even though it was a very slow Sunday. We all went out to the parking lot where my daughter sat in the back of our car and opened her remaining presents. The customer service here is non-existent, and the manager has no respect or compassion. I would absolutely not recommend having a birthday party here and we will go elsewhere to skate in the future (which we have been doing 1-2 times a week!) read more

UPDATE: This review was up for minutes when the owner came up to me and preceded to chew me out for having the gall to have my own opinion! She said if I don't take my review down we are not allowed to skate here again. I guess free speech is not a thing anymore. Unfortunately now I see why her employees are so grumpy as she is. If you do not like my experience it is not up to you to threaten me based on what I experienced. It is not my job to fix your business. If your food sucks, get better food. If you have lame employees, train them to smile or get new ones. You didn't hire me as your personal business consultant (which I can do btw) so I don't want to hurt feelings but the truth is what it is. Original review: This outdated roller rink is about the same as when I was a kid, no updates at all but oh well it's still fun. Lack of stars is for the food vendor, I mean it's about the worst food you can get, school lunches are better! Next is the "Karen's" that work here. No joy on their faces, it's like they are in a prison camp forced to work this job. The gal who has a mask on and works the DJ booth is the worst one with a sense of entitlement little seen in Idaho unless you are a hall monitor! Rude and just for fun I looked up Karen in the dictionary and her face was there. So (shrug) It would be cool if they did an update and got a food truck at least and fire all the staff and start over. read more

We attended a birthday party today and are appalled at the rude treatment, lack of any type of professionalism, and disrespect shown towards the party guests. Their pizza oven was broken, causing a delay in the festivities. There was no help or party hostess - despite that being clearly listed as a party inclusion on the website. Both of these annoyances could have been overlooked....until the end of the party. The room was rented from 1-3. We wrapped up the party and moved to a dark corner out of the way of everyone so the birthday girl could finish opening her presents. She needed no more than 10 minutes to finish up. There were very few people around, as the skating session had ended at 3, however, they do not close at this time. People have the option of staying after they pay for a new session/more time. The manager approached the group and kicked us out unless we paid $5/person to finish watching the birthday girl open her presents. Again, we needed no more than 10 minutes and THEY WERE NOT CLOSING! It was shameful. The birthday girl had to open her few remaining presents in the back of a' car in the parking lot. What kind of business does this to an 8 year old on her birthday - after earning the business of an event in the first place? Not one that I will be returning too. I am happy to take my business elsewhere and I recommend you do the same. read more

This place is an absolute joke. The owner could care less about the customers and their experience. I went to a birthday party today and hands down it was the worst party I've ever attended. My best friends daughter turned 8 and we've been going every weekend for the past couple of months so we were really excited to have a bday party here. Dang were we wrong. The pizza oven was not working and my friend was told they'd be ordering Dominos and paying the price of the Dominos. I'm sorry, if you own a business and a machine is down, it is your responsibility to make it right and you may have to eat the cost. The cost of doing business. The party room lasts 80 minutes, no one helped run the party and keep the party on schedule despite the website stating the party package includes a hostess. We had no time to open presents so we made our way to a back corner to get out of the way and open presents. We were there for the 1:00-3:00 session and were rudely kicked out at 3:05 mid present opening unless we paid an additional $5 per person. We ended up standing in the parking lot to open presents which is absolutely unacceptable for an 8 year old birthday party. The venue was not full at all and we were out of everyone's way trying to wrap everything up. The lack of customer service is incredible. I go here to avoid driving to skate in Nampa, but I'll totally enjoy that drive now because this place will never make another dollar off me or my family. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Treasure Valley Skate - Opening presents in a parking lot! - Skating Rinks Near Me - Boise, Idaho

On August 12th, we drove all the way across Boise to take the kids for a session of skating. They were all so excited to go skating! As soon as we drove onto the parking lot, we saw that it was empty. We thought, maybe we were just a little early. We were quickly disappointed when we found that the doors were locked and the place looked empty. I verified the hours by checking their website before we left my house, so I was surprised and frankly embarrassed because I got my families hopes up for nothing. I trusted that the website was correct. I even printed out the schedule. Treasure Valley Skate needs to ensure that their hours of operation is correct on their website. But, on top of that, even their hours posted on their door was incorrect, so both need to be corrected. When we were getting ready to leave (with disappointed kids) another family approached the front door to go skating. Again, another disappointed family. read more

Fyi do not have a birthday party here. if anyone that doesn't know how to skate (5 dollars per kid!) cause you have to rent them... super neat. Birthday party for my nieces was a nightmare. No help... brought pizza when told not to... most birthday parties will let you add on kids for a additional price. They told them this was going to be true. THEY HAD TO PAY FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL AS THEY CAME THROUGH THE DOOR...not after.so much for enjoying the party. The laces on the first pair of skates I could not re lace up after getting my 6 six year old daughters foot in there were junk. So I ask them for a new pair and they asked what was wrong after I just told them their laces were junk. Again my kids can't skate (and will never go here again) so then DJ apparently said don't stop... she doesn't know how to skate and sad with here very older cousin.., they were doing fine. Manager can't get his or hers ass out of their tiny office too see how horrible this birthday was for these girls and hell.. you think my kids will ever want to skate again? Love how you hire a bunch of kids with little knowledge. You let a really great manager.my kid would never work their with you lazy expectations. Oh ps bathrooms are disgusting read more

UPDATE: just went back for the first time since my original review and things have not improved. In fact things have gotten worse. New problems I encountered: 1: blatantly transphobic DJ. It was apparently the DJ's birthday and so she made an announcement that she would not be taking any song requests. She then proceeded to take song requests from everyone else except for me. When I tried to request a song she completely ignored me. The difference? Everyone else she allowed song requests from was not openly transgender. 2: the floor has gotten significantly worse and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Reoccurring problems I encountered: 1: Insufferably rude staff. Not only was the DJ transphobic to me as aforementioned, she also went out of her way to name and shame someone OVER THE MIC for the unspeakable crime of talking to their friend during their song request. Also when we first walked in, there was nobody at the till and my friend had to go on a wild goose chase to find someone, who seemed extremely annoyed that he had to do his job. 2: snotty regulars. As mentioned in my previous review, the childish grade school clique of regulars were as stuck up and hostile as ever, giving us dirty looks and skating aggressively towards us. Overall I'd rate 0 stars if I could. Easily the worst roller rink I've ever been to by a 100,000 clicks. read more

I read the awful reviews and was hoping to redeem this place but I cannot. The floor is bumpy. The blonde DJ had one job and she was terrible. We had to listen to our air pods the entire time. When I asked her to play other songs, she was rude about it. No idea how this place is still in business. read more

First off I will say the facility itself is nicer than the roller rink in Nampa, but that's the only good thing I have to say. We've been there twice now, once for open skate and once for throwing our child's birthday party there. Open skate: the moment we walked into the facility the music was not kid appropriate. It was offensive rap music and contained cursing. The staff was not friendly AT ALL. They made us feel as if we were bothering them if we asked for anything. Birthday Party: the birthday party "host" was rude and completely useless. They won't help you with anything related to the party then will demand and rush you to clean up and get out of the room. I spent all of my time setting up the room and then cleaning it out. I was left with no time to enjoy celebrating my child. Every single staff member was rude and in terrible moods. The pizza was disgusting and none of the kids ate it. I would never pay that kind of money again to throw a party here. Also, during our party they announced that the first 4 people to prove to the DJ that they left a good review will get a free admission for future use. So I don't buy any of these good reviews. read more

Well everyone has always been super nice even when I eat shit in the middle of the floor. I have fun here!

I booked a birthday party and paid $237.50, I was told we would have a host and food to feed us all. We had 15 people and 1 pizza 2 pitchers of soda. I did it all except cook the food. The one girl that did come in to tell us what we could and couldn't do was rude and very unprofessional with a bad attitude! They brought pitchers of soda in to the room and set it on the edge of the table filled with kids not once but twice! We had to ask the kitchen for napkins, cups and ice cream twice! New business or not they shouldnt offer to host party's at that price if they cant keep up or accommodate what they claim to offer. I will not ever book another event their. I will be calling 1st thing monday morning to try and speak to the owner/ boss read more

I've got to admit that we almost didn't come here because of some of the terrible reviews. I'm glad we did come though. It's clean, well maintained and we had a great time. No issues with the music or the staff. Our staff interaction was minimal but they were pleasant. If you want to take your family skating, just try it out. This is a good place to go. read more

Much better than Rollerdome in Nampa. More room to get around, better seating in an open area, pool tables and air hockey plus other games if kids get bored or need a break from skating. The Skate floor is treated concrete VS wood panels so you get more of a smooth skate experience. The DJ played better music and also when I requested a song, he played it right after the current song ended so I appreciated that since at rollerdome the DJ didn't play anything I requested. The food was okay but didn't expect much more since it's snack bar food. I would recommend less sauce on the pizza. It was fun watching the experienced skaters show off their moves on the skate floor. We went to the 7-9:30 pm session and brought our 9 year old and we all enjoyed ourselves. The staff was friendly and helpful, lots of smiles. We will definitely be going back! read more

In a time when businesses are struggling to stay open because of lockdowns and mandates, it seems they would want to go above and beyond to make certain their customers want to come back, not push them away. Welcome to Treasure Valley Skate. As a regular patron, you receive a punch card where after so many visits the next one is free. Well, they must not want to encourage regular patronage anymore since they refused to punch my card today, saying they're not doing that anymore. I could understand holding the free skate until we're back to normal but let us continue to to acquire our punches. I get that businesses are just trying to survive during this unprecedented time. It just could have been handled better. We have never been fans of this rink - it's small, the music too loud, poor design for beginners (nothing for them to hang onto around ¾ of the rink) and not very friendly. But it is just 6 blocks from my house and with my daughter excited about her new roller blades for her birthday we've been going there each week since. This is just the excuse we needed to stop going and make the drive to the Nampa Rollerdrome instead. read more

Had a blast! I haven't roller-skated in 27 year! My girlfriends and I loved having a DJ (who is also the skate rental, shoe lace fixer, skating entertainment when it's not busy. ) He was willing to play some Earth Wind and Fire, Eagles, Commodores, and and a great assortment of 70', & 80's hits. Which, tied in beautifully with the whole neon paint, disco ball vibe. The staff and owner were great. All very friendly and helpful. We didn't use the pool tables or fooz ball table because we didn't give ourselves enough time. But we will next round. Maybe even try their wine and snacks. After skating of course! read more

This place was super fun to roller skate but the employees had a stick up their butt. They absolutely destroyed the vibe that me and my fellow friends were on. Devastated with the service because it seemed like employees didn't like us when we did nothing wrong. Thank you. read more

Favorite place to go in Boise, lots of good memories here, the staff are great and so is the environment.

This place has some potential but to nickel and dime your customers negates that. I expect an admission fee along with rental fee but that fact that I was quoted $5.00 to use a skate guard so my daughter and her friends could skate without falling is insane. It's cheaper to rent the skate then to use the guards. We as planned to buy food and spend more money here but I will take my business elsewhere. I won't spend another dollar here. read more

As far as a skating place goes, it was okay. We had a large group of kids, about 16. One of the employees was great and very helpful with getting the kids skates on and such. Another much younger employee was very rude at checkin and throughout the morning we were there, even yelling at some of my kids (who weren't doing anything wrong) and one of my employees, demanding we get our kids under control. She was also pissy when on of the kids had an accident in the bathroom, didn't quite make it to the toilet. We were literally the only people there lol. Anyway overall, it was okay. The extra stars go to the awesome employee with the referee shirt. read more

This place is a blast. Neon colors everywhere? Yup. Old school skates? Oh, you better believe it. Rollerblades? Of course. Throwback jams that bring you back to junior high dances? Absolutely. I came here recently for an 80's Skate Night that my church put on. We had the ring to ourselves from the hours of 6-8:30pm. They had a DJ there the whole time who would throw out a few cheesy jokes here and there and let you know when it was time to backwards skate, race, or reverse the direction that everyone was skating. This ring just recently opened so everything is brand-spankin' new, but still has a retro feel to it. Yes, they have old school skates. But these skates also light up (same with the wheels on the rollerblades). Everything here is painted in bright neon colors, and they have flashy lights above the rink. Prices are fair - a little bit higher than the Rollerdrome in Nampa - but I think that has more to do with location than anything. $8 for admittance and $3.50 for rentals. You can bring your own skates, but they have to look at them and approve them before they let you use them on the rink. Bathrooms are clean and well kept. They have a snack bar too - but I didn't stop for anything so I don't have any deets on their snack prices. Overall, I had a blast! This would be a super fun family activity - but there's also no shame for the adults who want to get out there and bust a move on some skates! ;) read more

I love TVS. I've been coming here for almost a year now. They are very accommodating. I have been seeing reviews about the skate mates, and I have to say I can agree with the price. They don't have a large amount of them, as kids and reckless teenagers tend to break them by messing around. There may not be much to hold on to other than the wall, but it used to be a bowling alley so they didn't have much to work with. I love the atmosphere there, and the music is always good. They clearly state the rules which are simple, and if you follow them you can have a great time. I will be returning to Treasure Valley Skate for as long as they are in business. read more

I went there with my friends and our kids a few weeks back. The workers there feel the need to fly past people, hitting other peoples skates and knocking them down and pretending they never did.
