A fun way to spend a rainy day in claremont. May of the prices are negotiable. I got a great deal on a DVD collection, marked at $65 and I got it for $20. The older woman at the front (Nana?) was very nice and friendly.

I expected to find a shop-owner, not a friend, when I began frequenting K-n-K. I found out that she drove her help to work when they were without a car. I like Laurie's story, which is going from banking/corporate to follow her dream of owning a thrift store (c'mon, haven't u always wanted to open your own shop?). And now her dream-come-true is literally bursting at the seams with deals and quality items (consignments must make it past her scrupulous eyes first). Some of the things she offers are Back to school needs, FRESH bedding, and Holiday must-haves. I could spend a gift card here in seconds, and next week too, as changeover is constant. I suggest you come on down and squeeze into the crowd of bargain shoppers at K-n-K. It's NOT an old musty granny store :)

And it just so happened our electric wok died while here and we found the exact same one, which we purchased over 22 years ago...needless to say, we purchased it. Why go to a dozen state sales when you can come here and save the gas. There were a few leather sofas, many dining room sets, countless recliners and seating chairs, and chests and bookcases. Another side of the store features clothing, while a separate section has small appliances. Quality varies, from almost new to fairly worn. Priced accordingly. Perfect place for a new college graduate to set up household without spending a ton of money, or folks who don't need to spend a lot of money in a sofa that will likely become the cat's scratching post when they bring it home.
