Treasure Hut - Jewelry Near Me - North Charleston, South Carolina

When I walked into Treasure Hut, I was greeted by a young man and shown around. A piece caught my eye, a fish pendant, and I was sold! Medford even helped me pick out a nice box chain for it to rest on, and gave advice about care and styling! The pricing was great, and on top of that, he even gave me a discount. 10/10 Shop and truly a Diamond in the rough. I will be back in the future! This is a must stop if your looking for jewelry coins, or relics of our past! read more

Treasure Hut - Gold Yellow Tang Necklace and Pendant - Jewelry Near Me - North Charleston, South Carolina

Stopped in to Treasurer Hut in North Charleston to have a watch battery changed and links removed. I was served by Reese, a very knowledgeable and customer friendly young man. I appreciated his honesty and information. I will return for watch and jewelry repairs. Thanks Reese for restoring what seems to be a dying art, "good customer service". read more

I should have noticed, not BBB accredited. Sold some gold here. the owner likes to talk like he is autistic so you feel sorry for him. He is a sharp liar and crook--he should know better than to lie to an expert. Sold gold and I know gold. He tells me he will give me a certain percentage. he has to make money, fine. But then I figured it out by weight and gold percentages. His percentage was way off, according to the accurate percentages and weight. He is a huge nasty liar and thief. Stay away from this con act. never going there again. read more

I sold some bullion here a few times. They give you a fair market value price compared to most places. I have had a few transactions here and will most definitely going back for anything bullion related. The personal are very personable and knowledgeable as well. read more

What an incredible store to find WWII memorabilia and coins. My son and I have been shopping there for over 5 years, and the staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. Make a day of it-- start at Treasure Hut, then have lunch at Big Billy's next door, and then stroll over to Mr. K's Used Books. A perfect afternoon! read more

Pros: Buyer knows his stuff. Sincerely. Coins, war memorabilia, what have you. Very, very educated on the subjects. Cons: Weaponizes the pros. Will lowball the bleep out of you. I get going under typical retail, they're selling, not collecting, so they need a profit margin somewhere. But I mean big time lowball. Won't say the name because A. It's dirty pool and B. I don't think Yelp even allows it, but let's just say I got more than twice the offer on some bullion elsewhere that I got here and I'm pretty sure they both knew what it was worth. Ymmv, you're a bit of a dummy if you don't price check a few places with the sort of stuff that would end up here anyway read more

Thank you for helping my son and I with coin shopping during our recent visit to Charleston. The selection of antiques, coins, paper currency, and other artifacts is excellent. We would definitely go back to the Treasure Hut. read more

A great little place that used to be on Ashley phosphate, now moved by Tanger outlets. They buy, sell and appraise items. It's a unique place that offers alot of antiquities and smaller rare items. I've been here a few times and seems like there's something new in there every time. read more

I like this place. Eye candy for miles here! The owner, Medford, loves what he does and is a fascinating person. I get the impression that the prices on 90% silver coins are not the best, but I did buy some silverware and he took over an hour to walk me through everything. Guy has a mind like Alan Turing. read more

I went to the Treasure Hut with some antiques that I owned but no longer wanted. Medford was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He bought my pieces and I feel like I got a fair price. I plan to go back with additional items in the future! read more

I've been in many times. Zach and Medford are great people who know what they are doing. I have bought many things from them over the years and they have very fair prices on many things and they will not sell you fake stuff. They are very trustable and you know what your buying is authentic and not fake. This place is not a collection it is a buisness so do expect them to buy things under retail price just a bit. But if you work with them and get to know them they can be very great with prices. These guys are some of the best of the best for sure and I hope for the best to them! read more
