Had a fabulous afternoon sailing on the Resolute with a couple of friends. The vessel departed near Shepards Park in Stuart. Easy walk to the dock where we were greeted by Captain Cannon who guided us to the ship. Captain Fred gave us a wonderful guided tour of Stuart and Jensen beach via the water. Such great fun. This was our fourth cruise with Treasure Coast Sailing Adventures. The two captains were very friendly and very accommodating to my family. There were 5 adults and 4 children ages four to seven. One of the captains spent time talking with the kids and showing them different types of nautical knots and allowed them to try and make the knots. The children had a great time with the captain. The ship was clean and well maintained as it always has been. We have taken out of town guests as well as local friends on this cruise and nobody has ever been disappointed. My group was very a bit nervous that this would be a tourist trap, but it was not the case. Mostly snowbirds, but didn't feel touristy. We had a wonderful experience. We booked the night before out of desperation for something to do because we couldn't swim in the Portuguese Man o War covered beach outside our hotel. My 8&10 year old boys were disappointed that there were not dolphins out that day, but captain (Mike? I'm sorry I don't recall his name) saved the trip by providing them with some handheld wooden puzzle or a sailing knot to learn and gave them each a "pirate coin" when they completed the challenge. The captain was very knowledgeable and friendly, and we learned much about the boat and sailing. The park near where the boat docks is nice and clean with shade, picnic tables, and restrooms. We walked to a nearby restaurant for seafood afterwards. Do be aware that this boat does not go out on the ocean, you are pretty close to land the whole time. It feels like being out on a big lake. There was no danger of sea sickness. read more

What a lovely and unique experience to go out on a historic Schooner, the Lily sails smooth as a cloud across the water. Out daughter had experienced this sail a couple of times and was excited to take us out during a recent visit to Stuart. She had recommended the sunset sail well before we arrived so we made sure we created time in our plans to make it happen. It was everything she described and the company and conversation with the owners, crew and other guests made for an excellent outing and mother nature delivered a spectacular sunset as promised. This is a must-do in Stuart. My husband really wanted to go sailing while we were visiting, and my parents have been eyeballing the Lily for the last year on their morning walks. We called the day before and booked an afternoon sail. It was only our group, which was a nice surprise (their minimum is 6 people). Captain Fred really knows his boats, and he explained the sailing process, and regaled us with tales of the Lily's history. After cruising around the river for awhile, he and his lady friend/first mate Jamie played us several Irish tunes. Super cool! They encourage you to help with the sails (or not), and you also get to shoot a small cannon at the end of the trip. The 2-hour sail is $30 per adult, which I think is very reasonable. Fred and Jamie seem like really cool people, and it was quite nice to spend a few hours with them. They'll even loan you some blankets when you stupidly wear shorts on a chilly day! read more

Had a wonderful and breezy afternoon sail earlier this week on the beautiful and well-maintained Schooner Lily. Captain Nick and First Mate Luke were a capable and fun team. They clearly knew their boat and the St. Lucie river and they made us all feel comfortable and relaxed. We brought lunch and beverages and sunscreen and hats. Took my first trip aboard the schooner Lily for a sunset cruise with my boyfriend last month and it was marvelous. The ship sails incredibly smoothly, I feel that even those who typically experience seasickness would be fine on this ship. The captain was incredibly knowledgeable and told us all about the history of the ship, what it is made of, how it was restored, etc. I am a lifelong Floridian who grew up on and around boats and my boyfriend is from up north but I feel that we both experienced the same excitement when the sails were raised and when the sunset first began to appear- it was a truly beautiful experience. Some of the other passengers on the ship brought wine, beer, drinks, and snacks and we were a bit envious that we didn't do the same, definitely makes the experience a little more luxurious. Overall I would recommend the schooner Lily to anyone and everyone. We will definitely be returning (hopefully next time we will hear some Irish music played onboard by the captain and his wife)! read more

We took a trip on the Lily Schooner yesterday and had a fantastic time. We had guests from out of town and decided it would be a fun activity. We had never been on the Lily before, but had been anxious to try it. Captain Fred and Nick were amazing!! They gave us all kinds of interesting information and we had a great conversation with them. We covered many topics, but they were both incredibly knowledgeable about the mechanics of sailing, information about the areas we were passing, and local lore.
