Thankfully we saw Champagne Lakes on the way up and stopped in to see if it was any better. To our surprise this hidden gem was beautiful!! We were greeted by Donna who was absolutely amazing!! She was able to accommodate us in our large 5th wheel at such a short notice! It felt so welcoming and safe and we are so thankful for them! If you are looking for a beautiful peaceful stay this is the place! Spots are spacious, people are kind and it's exactly what we were looking for! Thank you Champagne Lakes for going above and beyond and being so welcoming. A++++

There is never a time of day or night where you cannot call , text or email her and ask her any silly question you can come up with and this beautiful lady will answer the question you have about your trip and she will do it with a huge smile on her face. I can't even imagine having that kind of patience! At times when she is booking a carnival cruise she may be in charge of possibly 300 clients on that same ship and they're all asking questions and giving demands about what they need to have for their trip and Velma will take care of every single thing they are asking for and if she can't she will tell you why and she probably even will say how sorry she is that she can't accommodate them. She is and always will be my family's travel agent forever . Highly recommended!!

Worst experience of our travels. From the lack of communication to what we actually received. This…read moreflyer she put out shows what we paid for. Says dinner cruise, dinner in the air, ATV quads along with the other things. We tried for a couple months to get Velma to send us the schedule of our tours. Once we received it I asked where the dinner in the air was. She said that was reservations only and didn't include dinner and if we wanted that we would have to pay $200 for that. No where does it say that. She refused to give it to us saying there was no more money to pay for that. And that she planned to have a private dinner party at the all inclusive resort she was staying at with most of the people going. We opted to stay at one of the other hotels since we didn't plan on hanging out at the resort eating and drinking all day. She said she was going to try and get us a day pass to come to the dinner at her resort. I went into her FB page she made for this trip and posted how disappointed we were in our experience with her. She proceeded to block me from that page and unfriended us and then said she wasn't able to get us that pass because the resort wanted to charge her $200 for each of us. Once again that $200 fee. And we went on our safari we didn't get the ATV rides that it shows because she didn't pay for that option and the driver wanted us to pay extra for it. He said Velma only paid for the cheaper package $36 per person. Originally when she said we weren't getting the dinner in the air she said we paid $400 less per person than the group staying at her resort. And I responded with that's because we aren't getting free food and drinks like that group. Not sure if she thought we were stupid and she could get away with things because we have never used a travel agent before because we like planning our own trips. She kept saying I'm sorry you're not happy what can I do to make you happy. I kept telling her to give us what we paid for but she wouldn't. She then said she would pay the extra if we wanted to switch our aquarium tickets to the Miracle Gardens. I told her it didn't open till mid October. But she said no that it was open. We didn't thank goodness since it wasn't open. Then about a week before the trip she tells me she had to cancel her reservations because her 90yr old mother was ill and she needed to take care of her but yet her sister went on the trip. But while in Dubai I saw that she had posted that she was at Carnival cruise terminal with from the name of the person possibly her mother. Guess she wasn't that sick. It was our first and last time using a travel agent. Not sure if we will take the time to pursue getting some of our money back from her or just move on. We will all have to discuss it and see what we want to do. I would give a negative star if I could!

Pilot Denni (the owner of the company with almost 40 years of pilot experience) was great and landed in the same place we took off, which is likened to a hole in one in golf. The whole experience was less than 3hrs. The ride itself lasted about an hour. We were transported to and from the launch and landing sites. They took some pictures for us and provided a balloon ride certificate at the end with discounts for local wineries and businesses. Mimosas and a bag of snacks were provided at the end. It was a great experience and would recommend to anyone willing to wake up before sunrise.

It was actually a lot more calm and peaceful than I thought it would be! Even my friend, who's afraid of heights, did it! Sure, she was pretty scared at first and stayed close to the center of the basket, avoiding to look out and down, but she started feeling more comfortable the longer we were in the sky. We booked on their website and used the promo code "Groupon" for a discounted price of about $180 per person. The meeting point was in the parking lot of a shopping center in Temecula at 5:30am. There, they went over some rules, info about hot air ballooning and there was a photographer/videographer, Wesly Cajuste, selling packages for stills and a video. He has a drone that follows the balloon. My friends and I decided to go for it since it was our first time and it was a special occasion (friend's birthday). We were very happy with the way the video and the photos came out. Then, a couple shuttle vans took us to where they were setting up the hot air balloons, which varies depending on the wind. Before getting in the basket, we got to go in the balloon while they were inflating it. It was chilly in the morning, but it gets pretty warm being under the propane tank, so hats and layers are suggested. We were 4 groups of 4 and were assigned to a huge balloon with 4 separate compartments we were snug in. The knowledgeable and experienced pilot, Brian, was in the middle. I read that the baskets have doors but we had to climb in ours. The ride was about an hour long and we had a spectacular view of Temecula valley. I was a little nervous about the landing, but Brian is clearly a pro and did a magnificent job with a smooth landing on an open field. No mimosas in the air since there are no restrooms, but they busted out the Crooks when we got out! The website said breakfast, but they actually just give out ziplocked bags of snacks. Lol! Totally not necessary. The balloon ride was the ultimate highlight! They also give a certificate, which includes a list of wineries you can get discounts at for having done the hot air experience.
