We shipped my wife's Mercedes C300 from California to Texas when we moved to Texas. The shipping company broke the rear window and let rain enter the rear seat compartment. They also backed a truck into the front of the car, the imprint of a 2" trailer receiver was clearly visible. The shipping company offered to send out SafeLite to replace the rear window and suggested we could easily vacuum out the glass chips from the inside of the vehicle (to be fair, we hadn't discovered the damage to the front of the vehicle yet). When I wanted the vehicle inspected by a qualified claims inspector, they balked. Rather than deal with them, I filed a claim with State Farm to get our car fixed. We used a certified State Farm repair facility and couldn't be happier with the repairs. The car is back to perfect. I hope that State Farm got reimbursed from the shipping company. read more
