Everyone seemed pleased, and I can attest mine was excellent - large fillet of beef from a specific breed I hadn't heard of! As often is the case in Germany, my dish had an ample baste of gravy draped over meat - truffle & cognac based with mushrooms (see pic). Interior decor was chic & modern.

Fine Italian dining at its best! And yes, in Berlin…read more I enjoyed a late lunch here. I had walked past the restaurant on numerous occasions in the evenings when it is rather crowded. They offer seating both outdoors and indoors. I opted to dine outdoors. Nice atmosphere. The waiter spoke German, Italian, and English. He was professional and efficient. Complimentary warm, fresh bread and olives were served first. I ordered a Latte Macchiato and the Spaghetti Aglio Olio. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, al dente. It was simple, not loaded with many ingredients, just garlic, roasted red peppers, Parmesan, and olive oil. Delicious. Reminiscing makes my mouth water. It was a pleasant expensive.

Located just down the street from the Brandonburg Gate, this restaurant is easily accessible. They have nice interior seating Plus, they have a very large patio with a lot of tables. What this restaurant offers is, as mentioned, a traditional Italian cuisine. From this, you have a lot of choices: pasta, pizza, and the like. They also have a full bar, plus a good selection of wine, and beer. Plus, all of the expected soft drinks. The food here is prepared fairly well. There's really nothing to complain about in terms of the overall presentation and/or flavor. On a lighter note, our server seem to be pretty grumpy the last time we were there. More than once he would step away from his tables and move out into the front of the restaurant to have a smoke. Then, he would reluctantly come back to take care of his duties. But, nonetheless, he got his job done. Overall, if you want some pretty good Italian food in Berlin, this may be the place for you

Located near Checkpoint Charlie in the center of Berlin, this very, very small but lovely little Italian restaurant makes amazing, authentic food. If you know a little German it will help you here. If you are a local or can get a reservation, that also would help. Otherwise it might be packed. We got the last table available when we came in. We had the Calamari Fritto app special, which was one of the all time best calamari we've ever had anywhere. We also had the Spaghetti con Gamberetti, which was excellent but could use more aggressive seasoning. People in Germany clearly don't like a lot of seasoning. I had the Penne con manzo e funghi stagionali, which was truly excellent. All the pasta was fresh, all the flavors authentic and appreciated. The only thing weird at all Italian restaurants is this spread they give you which I can only describe as sour cream and chives potato chip dip. I don't get it, but whatever. It's not like you get charged for it. Anyway, if you're in Berlin, put this place on your must try list and go!

We were pretty much done with Eisten or currywurst after being here for a week. Very warm lobby with all open doors. No outside seating so we sat inside next to bar area. The services were very prompt. We chose a goat cheese salad and mushroom pasta. Both dishes exceeded our expectation. Salad was mixed great with walnut and cheese and dressing was light with nice honey taste. very refreshing and tasty. Pasta was nice creamy mushroom sauce with diced beef. Yummy. Price were very reasonable and waiters were very friendly.
This place is close to work and I'm a fan!…read more The restaurant looks relatively modern and very clean. Judging from the interior, I thought the prices would be a bit higher. Everything on the menu is really affordable and I ordered the funghi pizza, which is about €6. My only issue with the pizza was that it needed a more generous glaze of oil or butter on the crust, along with some more tomato sauce because the pizza was a tad dry. I also ordered the tiramisu for dessert and the consistency and texture of this tiramisu reminded me of the ones from Italy. The spoon would easily sink into the dessert and you could see the decadent layers with each bite. However, I do prefer my tiramisu to have a more prominent coffee flavor, but this one tasted more chocolatey like the Nestle hot cocoa mix. To sum it up, if you're craving Italian food and in the area, I would give this place a chance!

Obviously local Berliners and savvy tourists avoid this place. Bad service. This was the main problem. We sat down and the server quickly brought us their dinner menus. Not a problem if it was 8pm, but a little too early for lunchtime! We asked him about lunch menus, and the look on his face was priceless. Obviously they don't like people to order from their lunch menus during lunch! After some back and forth, we finally got the lunch menu. We quickly decided on what we wanted, but the waiter disappeared for 10 minutes... This is Berlin, so not an abnormal thing. When he came back, we ordered and everything seemed okay. Cappuccino + Pizza. I almost fell out of my chair when the waiter brought my pizza and cappuccino together. If he thought I was thirsty, maybe he should have asked if I wanted a drink? I'm wondering if this is a normal thing at this restaurant... Don't ask for spicy oil! I was still reeling from the surprise of the pizza cappuccino when I tried to order some spicy oil for my pizza. The waiter argued with us that the pizza was already spicy enough and did not need anything else. After some more back and forth, he grudgingly brought some spicy oil! Don't ask for water! In the middle of all this chaos, I tried to order some sparkling water. This was the breaking point! The waiter said he didn't have time for all of our questions and that we were not the only customers in the restaurant and stomped off!!! New waitress saves the day! After our waiter's meltdown, he disappeared and we suddenly had a waitress who was friendly and responsive. The rest of the meal was uneventful, exactly how I expect lunch at an Italian restaurant to be! Average food. Don't come to this restaurant if you're a foodie. It was bland, but that's completely expected for any restaurant in the middle of a tourist zone. I do have to say the cappuccino tasted good, but I don't recommend drinking it with your pizza! Nothing special. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice (besides waiters who have temper tantrums!) and has a faux-posh feel to it. I recommend you sit in the terrace in the back. It's nice on a warm day and is next to a small pond. That's it. If you're looking for some excitement during your lunch, give this place a try. But if you're looking for a quiet meal with friendly service, go somewhere else!
