Capaito, Italy; Food was fantastic, surprised I am writing the first review! Max (I'm guessing…read morethe owner) was there to greet us and help us silly Americans park. There was not a lot of parking around the building, and as most cultures know us Americans have a hard time parking on a side walk... You could tell that this was a very well respected local business, most people who walked in had a great relationship with Max and the other wait staff. I think it was just about the only local restaurant on that road, and competition would definitely go out of business if there was. Anyway along to the food. We were greeted with a glass of prosecco, which was followed by a bottle, and beers, then three bottles of wine. The first glass of prosecco was on the house! There were six of us eating, and I wanted to make sure that we would be able to try many different things. I talked with Max to see what he would choose for dinner, and asked him if I was part of his family, what would he do (my wife hates when I do this, especially in a foreign country where they do not understand English). To my surprise, he made some interesting changes and talked me into trying kind of a tour of Italy with pasta, three different pasta dishes. Two others in my group also joined in for this awesome suggestion. Oh, by the way, this was not on the menu. Next thing I know Max is bringing out three very large bowls of different pastas "Family Style"! It was like having a three coarse meal with a lot left over. I fell in love with all three dishes, and ended up finishing two out of the three almost by myself. Diabetes here I come! Great Service, great food, and great drinks! Not to mention for six people the total bill was way under 200 Euro! I look forward to another trip and checking out Trattoria Da Vittoria again. Thanks for a wonderful experience

The first thing our local host did on his way out of town was drop us off here for our first meal…read morein stunning Argentario. La Regina di Napoli sits right on the Porto Santo Stefano and was described as the must have locals spot. The fish is brought directly to the restaurant from the docking fishermen just steps away. It could not be a more beautiful location for experiencing the most incredible local Italian food. We tried pizzas, appetizers, and everything else. We got a pitcher of Prosecco to wash it all down. This meal made memories that may ruin me for stateside US restaurants. If you've already researched or ventured into Monte Argentario you know that this isn't a tourist town. This is local Italians only where only Italian is spoken. Not many foreign tourists know about Argentario & we quickly had to brush up on ordering and communicating in Italian to get through (and avoid being exiled as annoying tourists) Speaking of exiled, Caravaggio was exiled to Argentario where he lived out his later years. His tomb can be found in Porto Ercole. It's a fascinating, beautiful, very local and rural town. And such an awesome adventure!! Just go!!

He had a biggest calzone we have ever seen. It was so delicious! He ate almost the whole thing which says a lot because he usually can't eat that much. I had the homemade spaghetti noodles with prawns. It was also delicious. There was a little kick to it which made it even better. At first, I thought there wasn't enough prawns in the dish but there were some under the pasta!

Came here with some Italian friends per their recommendation and it was a great gem! First off,…read morethere were no tourists here that I could tell. There is no menu. It rotates every month and they make the food fresh for the whole restaurant and it is served family style to your private table. In other words, each table in the restaurant is eating the same thing. You can watch them make the pasta as the first course is being served. It really feels like you are in someone's home. The night we came, the opener was a meat plate. Plenty of salty Italian meats to make it a meal in and of itself. You can ask for as much as you want but save yourself for all the courses. Next came skewers of lamb sausage. They were so different and had a tang to them that was amazing. The third course was backed artichokes, nothing too special. Next was a beef broth that was excellent with bread. There was a soupy consistency to this. The pasta was next. Gnocchi was out first pasta. I could see them making it so I knew what was coming and the timing was amazing. This was followed by ravioli which was so fresh again, you could taste it. Our final course was a wild boar that was so soft and juicy. It really got me hooked on this meat. The desserts were average but who cares, we were so stuffed by then anyways on the good stuff. Plan to spend over 2 hours here as this is a meal to experience for sure!!
