One of Italy's best kept secrets! It takes hours to drive to this restaurant through very narrow winding roads and steep hills. Once you get there you'll get your reward. Amazing food! All the meat is cooked for hours slowly in rotating grills. Chicken, veal, beef, pork, lamb and more are cut in small pieces and joined together according to their special recipes, then slowly brushed with home made olive oil, butter and other ingredients. This is your main course served family style. They also have appetizers and pasta dishes. Their home made wines are also incredibly good. The atmosphere is family style with little kids making new friends and having fun while the adults are enjoying their delicacies. I could see the pride on the waiter's faces while serving and the restaurant owner, the chef for 40 years, made sure to introduce himself at every table and make sure everyone was happy with the food. Very important: make a reservation, the place was full when I visited and the next restaurant is at least an hour away. read more
