We were walking up via Toledo looking for a sit-down place to eat. If you've done this in this particular neighborhood, then you know you could be walking for a while.
There was a maitre'd waving to us--which is common in Italy. We waved back and then next thing you know we are being whisked away to Trattoria Annare. And I'm so glad we were. The food was delicious. It was our last night in Italy and it was not wasted.
I had a Caprese Salad, which I never tire of. And we shared some pasta. At the end we were treated to free shots of grappa! We had a great time and service was fantastic.
The only down side, and this is way outside their control, is the street traffic. I mean, it's Italy--streets are narrow and if you are sitting on a patio the cars come whizzing by. read more
