If you don't have a car, be advised they do not have a shuttle so it's not fun to walk 15-20 minutes in the rain or darkness. We probably made the walk 3x per day for meals and excursions. They do not have food here, other than snacks you can buy in the lobby. There was no clothing storage in our cabin. No closet and no dresser. They had two hangers and a few hooks on the wall, but that wasn't a great solution. Wifi didn't work in our cabins. Some people may like this disconnect, but I stressed about it due to needing access for a few emergent situations. Luckily, the wifi worked in the lobby, but that meant I spent a lot of time in the lobby.

The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean. For hotels/rooms in this area of Alaska... they were great. Rooms are located in various buildings spread throughout the premises. This is a pretty large premise. Make sure you visit their Tree house. It is a nice walk and has the best view of Mt. McKinley. They also have several onsite eating options. Their main building is a lodge motif with several indoor seating areas, restaurant and gift shop. Lodging in this area of Alaska is sparse and expensive, especially during the summer. Overall, this place is worth the cost and a good base to visit other places in the area. We would have loved to have stayed a couple of more days.

This behavior is entirely unacceptable. If there are specific rules, they should be clearly posted or communicated to guests in advance. If children are not welcome, this should be explicitly stated in the advertisement. Under no circumstances should anyone walk into a guest's room uninvited, especially while they are in their pajamas, and criticize their parenting. My son was not being loud while warming up his food, even though it was late. Considering it's summer break and the sun stays up longer, it's unreasonable to expect children to follow a strict bedtime. I wish you all the best with your business, but I cannot recommend this place to anyone, life is too short to deal with this kind of non-sense. Avoid ruining your vacation with such an experience.
