I can't say enough how fantastic my experience has been from the very beginning. The whole team has shown incredible professionalism, efficiency, courtesy and caring towards me a single woman in my 60's; The advice I received was very wise from setting a price for the sale to the search for the purchase of a much smaller home. It was amazing how fast a buyer was found, only two weeks after the start of the listing, and how quickly I was able to find my perfect new house in another neighborhood. The team worked extra hard to achieve the difficult task of getting me into a house of my choice while selling my old large home; Downsizing was what I wanted to do and it is a reality now. The entire experience was painless and ultra easy; they also know how to listen which is a great quality these days. I felt so comfortable and trusting the entire time, I wasn't disappointed. I was kept abreast of the different potential client visits, Axel, my realtor, was very flexible with his time to show me homes on the market as well as holding open houses at my own home. This company has a wonderful professional photographer who showcases perfectly the home for sale, the staff answers questions right away at any time of day and even on the weekend. Then the surprise was that as I sold and bought with them they gave me back 1% off the commission of the purchase. Thank you so much to the support staff especially Amanda and Val; you rock ladies! My gratitude to Axel for all his help throughout the last month. I strongly recommend choosing this company for all your real estate needs, they work very hard for your entire satisfaction. I am a very happy camper.

Steven Burnett of Home Helper Consultants is without a doubt the worst realtor I've ever had…read moredealings with. I was relocating to Arizona, an already stressful situation with everything that has to fall into place to ensure as smooth of a transition as possible with an interstate move, but Steven made the entire home buying process even more chaotic and stressful. When I first started talking with him he seemed helpful, he sent me a few listings, one of which I really liked, so I decided to put an offer on it, so I signed a two-year exclusivity contract with him to help me with the purchase. My first thought was that 2 years is an awfully long time (realtors I've dealt with in the past have only have 3-6 month contracts) but I figured this would be a smooth process like the other home purchases I've made in the past so I let it slide. From the moment I began to negotiate with the sellers Steven kept pushing me to give them more money and to cave to their demands. He kept trying to reassure me that the sellers wanted to make a good deal with me, that they wanted to do everything they could to help me move into the home. Everything he said regarding the sellers was always using those same empty platitudes. There was nothing real or concrete, which was a strange experience because in past experiences with realtors they usually give you some idea of what the sellers are thinking or wanting. I got no useful information at all. It was like trying to negotiate with a brick wall. It really felt like the same guy who was supposed to be my representative was actually playing for the other side and that he really didn't care about my own interests and this continued until the very end of the transaction. I had originally wanted to give no more than $1,000 in earnest money but Steven told me that he wanted to present the "best" deal possible for the sellers to ensure that they accepted my offer, which was full asking price, plus earnest money. I balked at first, but I really wanted the house. I had the money (at the time) to do it without a problem, so I relented. Let's just get this over with, I thought to myself. But in the back of my mind it sounded to me like he was negotiating on the seller's behalf, which needless to say seemed odd to me. So I agreed to giving the sellers their full asking price and $2,000 in earnest money. My full review came out to about 3 pages and Yelp will only allow for a page so I will try to summarize the rest of my ordeal as best I can. On the way from the Midwest to Arizona I had car trouble and a trusted mechanic told me I needed a new engine and transmission. I promptly called Steven to let the sellers know and see if I could delay or pay a lesser amount for the earnest money. Steven said nothing to me other than he'd talk to the sellers about it and that they are sympathetic. A few days later I get a call from Steven telling me that the sellers were filing a motion of breach of contract and I had 24 hours to get the money to them. I negotiate with the mechanic and they agree to take half the payment so I can get the earnest money to the sellers. A few days later out of the blue I get a text from Steven telling me they hired an inspector for me. What?! I said, no and I found my own. Was he trying to advantage the sellers with their own inspector? What's going on? The inspector found several issues, including one tub that didn't work at all, and another that didn't work correctly. The sellers refused to fix even those items, even with me giving them the full asking price and money down! Steven kept telling me that he was "fighting hard" for me but there was never any evidence of that. I had to ask my realtor selling my home to intervene, talk to the brokers, and they got the sellers to fix everything for me. You know it's bad when you have to ask for help elsewhere. And my realtor didn't even have any relationship with the brokers but she was able to get a better deal than Steven! Aren't there some kind of ethical codes of conduct realtors have to follow ensuring that they are representing your best interests, and not someone else's? If one is going to be forced into a two year long contract the least a realtor can do is actually represent you honestly and fairly. He couldn't even manage to do that. To end an already horrible experience Steven told me he was too "busy" to meet me at the home to give me the keys. I had to drive clear across town to get them! That was about a two hour drive in total! If I could give 0-stars, or negative stars, I would. If you have a choice of realtors do yourself a favor. Don't choose Steven Burnett. You'd be better off finding a brick wall to negotiate with. And the brick wall would be more likely to do what was in your best interest instead of Steven Burnett.

They also recommended Bob Waseiko @ Academy to broker my loan...Bob was amazing, I love this guy #mancrush #imstraight :-) Bob was so responsive, supportive, and creative I just can't applaud his efforts enough. He wasn't perfect, but he was there for me each step of the way. Cons: I didn't get to work with Donna start to finish. These folks have a weird set up where your agent, isn't your agent. One person shows you house, she goes away then someone else does paperwork, they go away then someone else comes in for negotiations, then their is field agents for inspections and walk through a, and then there is...well you get it. All in 4-6 different people to buy 1 house, apart from title company, lender etc. just not for me. Another con is the joker/lender the recommended at first. I talk to him, he says he'll email me, never does, I call, I email him, I email again, a week later when I call the Calloways for a replacement he finally calls me and says "oh I delegated that, did no one contact you" pfffft lol great lender, delegate me and a 900k loan to some lackey before we even start...um no. So in a nut shell, if you want a relationship with an Agent, these guys n gals aren't set up for you....just want to get a house sold in hurry, yeah I might call them. You probably won't feel like these folks are 'for' you...but they do know real estate. We worked with Jamie on two different houses and could not have been happier with our experience across the board. The first was our first house purchase ever, so we were certainly apprehensive approaching the situation. Jamie had worked with a family member numerous times and came highly recommended, and he certainly lived up to that reputation. I really appreciated Jamie's cautious hand in our dealings; he was never over bearing when it came to offering advice about a potential house or price, but he was always there when we had questions. We likely saw 30 houses, and each one was approached in a calm and methodical way by Jamie or one of his team members (all of whom were excellent as well). The second experience with Jamie was in 2021 when the housing market was basically going nuclear. Not only did we need to get our house ready to move, but we had to trust what Jamie told us when it came to taking that potential payoff and applying it to the next home. Even though we had an idea of the area we needed, Jamie was there to offer suggestions and actually came through huge in finding our current home before it even hit the market. When we knew we wanted to make changes to the house, he provided contractors and others who gave us a pretty spot on idea what the costs would be. As with any purchase, there were a few bumps along the way, but he quickly dealt with each with barely any need of additional help on our end. When it came to the sale of our own house, Jamie was on the spot throughout the process, from suggestions on how we do a better job of sprucing up the home to managing heightened expectations when it came to sales price. Considering we sold our house for about 3x the price, we were quite happy. Selling your house? Work with Jamie Buying a house? Work with Jamie.
