Juan and his team did an amazing job installing a radio and rear camera on my dad's Pathfinder. He explained everything clearly and was always available with any questions or concerns my dad had. He even fixed a broken alarm lock on my dad's Toyota Tacoma! read more

I found this great shop while shopping for a clear bra for my car. I visited the shop and was helped by Rob who answered all my questions and got me in on short notice. They did an excellent job clean, touched up all chips I had from rock damage and protected all my surfaces with 3M protective film. And it was done on schedule and I'm a fan for life! Thank Rob and Juan and the team at JG auto. read more

He took his time and made sure that he did everything he could to get the job done correctly. I'm thrilled with the results and cannot thank Juan enough! I'll surely be back in the future. 10/10 for the service! read more

Juan and his guys helped me installing their version of rock guards on my fenders. Worked better than OEM!

I had brought my fourth car to Transparent Bra recently for Juan to install the 3M transparent bra as well as tinted films on my wife's new car. Juan took his time in order to get the job done perfectly which is fine for us. He ended up spending the whole Sunday to complete this job which was amazing and what a dedication. Juan always stands-by his superb detailed and meticulous work and will keep trying till he gets perfection. Both my wife and I are very happy with the work done and feels comfortable that if anything goes wrong, Juan will be there to help with the repair. I would recommend Juan to anyone who is willing to let Juan does his best with his talent on installing transparent bra. He is also very competitive in pricing and always stands by his work regardless. I will bring my future cars to Juan as long as he is willing to take on the jobs. Thanks, Juan! read more

Juan and his team are EXACTLY why you work with small, local businesses. They care about the customer and they truly care about the quality of their work. I had a "half-coverage" transparent paint protection kit installed on a white '19 GTI. This included front bumper, headlights, 1/4 of the hood, 1/4 of the fenders, mirrors, door edges, and the top of the rear bumper (below the hatchback). The work took a full day. When I picked the car up I had to lean waaaaayyy in to even see the border of the film on the car. The install and quality of material were excellent. They even cleaned the complete exterior of the car when they were done. Juan took the time to walk me through the work, explain the material, and how to maintain the exterior of the car. If you love your car and you want to keep it safe from all the crap flying around on the roads, take it to Juan! read more

If there's a business I want to see thrive and come up, it's this one!! Just from talking to Juan you'll know that he knows his stuff. I needed a clear bra for my wife's new car to protect it from rocks. I told Juan I wanted the clear bra in which he was fine with, but he gave me a whole bunch of options like ceramic coating, etc. He was honest and real friendly, told me all the steps he was going to do and he updated me along the process. Everything from the initial call, the drop-off, to picking up the finished car was awesome. Great service that's done right. Thanks Juan!!!!!! read more

Juan did a great job replacing some damaged 3M film on my car after an accident. His workmanship was great, but what really sealed it for me was how quickly he was able to get me an appointment around the July 4th holiday. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants a tint, film, or audio system installation. (Apparently he's an electronics guy and the transparent bras are more of a side thing.) read more

I wanted to get a Ventureshield clear bra on my full hood, front wheel fenders and rear bumper. I shopped around for price and found Transparent Bra to offer the best value. Daniel and Juan both worked on my car and did a great job. The thing that impressed me most was how they stand behind their work. There was a crease on my rear bumper I didn't like and Juan didn't skip a beat: he removed the bra and replaced it! Probably took him 4 hours to redo! These guys are great, and come right out to your home. I'm very happy with the product and service I received. read more

***** FIVE STARS ***** TransparentBra.com The review tells it all. All praises. Clearly, the best in Bay Area. Daniel arrived on time to applied the clear bra within 4 hours. It was getting late, but he fore filled my last minute request for sealing the paint and adding on the 3M on each door handle(another 2 hours). Daniel is honest and meticulous about his work. He never complained once. You can really tell that Daniel love his job and it shows in his work. Great Dubai Story Thanks to all the Yelper's for such a awesome recommendation read more

I've been working with Juan for...4 years now! I would really not go to anyone else. His prices are competitive and he is incredibly detail oriented and personable. Even years later when I've had small wear on pieces or new additions put on, he's been very very reasonable. Three thumbs up. read more

Juan is the man! I scheduled Juan to install a clear bra on my new STI. Two days later, he spent 6-7 hours in my garage installing the bra, including the side mirrors, door edges, and door handles. He did an incredible job. I am a perfectionist and went over his work closely. You can tell he is not in a rush, but takes his time and treats it like his own car. A couple days later I found a couple of (TINY) bubbles in the bra. I called Juan, who assured me that they would disappear in the next two weeks. If not, he said he would replace them. A few hours later, Juan called--he was OUTSIDE MY GARAGE wanting to go over the job. You don't get customer service like this anymore. Finally, Juan charges about 1/2 the price of the big name competition. He does as good job--probably better--and he can come to you. He also does work for several body shops and dealers. I would recommend Transparent Bra 100%. read more

Met Juan over a year ago as he did a lot of work for a body shop I used to work at. He's our primary guy for transparent bras and for very good reasons. 1) great guy and easy to work with 2) easy to get a hold of and always on time 3) prices are excellent 4) MOST IMPORTANTLY, quality of work is perfect and always completed in timely manner. Because of all these reasons, its hard to find another like him. Not only does he do great work on clear bras, he also does car audio and tinting. Juan knows his audio, just ask him to show you his car. As for tinting, he uses name brand tint and not limited to just vehicles. He tinted our office windows (13 windows) to help keep the afternoon sunlight out. No more sauna in the office. Being in San Francisco, I'm sure there are plenty of shops between here and Berkeley that can do what Juan does. Reason I choose him is because of the reasons I stated above and that he does it better than anyone else I've used. If you looking into using Juan for his services, I am confident that you will be happy with the results. read more

I actually found out about Transparent Bra through an automotive forum, where they were highly recommended to do the installation of the paint protection film (PPF) on the vehicle. After calling five places, I decided to go with Transparent Bra to do the installation. I talked with Juan over the phone, and he gave a price of $420 to do the bumper, 1/3 of the hood, 2 side mirrors, and the headlights, which was comparable in price to three of the five installers I called. For my compact car, he used the VentureShield film (instead of the 3M), which I've heard should be just as good, if not better. Juan came out to my place (they offer free mobile service within the SF bay area), and completed the entire job in about 3.5 hours. He has a lot of experience with PPF installation, and put a lot of effort for my installation. I was satisfied with the job, but unfortunately, there was some slight peeling on the bumper film 2 weeks later. This can happen sometimes, since the installation on the bumper can be quite challenging. I gave Juan a call about it, and he'll be back tomorrow to re-do the work without additional charges. So far, they stand behind their work, which is a rare find for many service providers. For my next car, I'm pretty sure I'll be a repeat customer. read more

This place is AWESOME. Juan, the owner, is honest, upfront & hard working. I had them tint the windows & install a clear armor kit on my GF's 2013 Honda Civic. The work turned out great & Juan had the car ready when he said he would. This place comes second to none! I will bring all my vehicles to Juan for clear bra, window tinting & audio needs. read more

Juan is a very nice guy and certainly a hard worker. However, it was a HUGE disappointment when he tried to install a vinyl tint on my taillights. The install is a difficult job but I still expect quality work on my car. The job had to be redone several times simply because the vinyls ended up shrinking a bit and did not cover the entire surface area of the taillight. The vinyls still do not fit right to this day but Juan was extremely generous and refunded me for the install. I was not expecting him to go to this level of service but it definitely was a nice gesture. Overall, I was impressed that he cared enough about taking care of the issue to make sure I was satisfied. He stands by his work and will do whatever is necessary to get the job done right. read more

I recently bought a new 2008 Audi TT and knew from the very start that I needed to protect my new toy with none other than a "clear bra." I am very happy with the install and I would recommend anyone else who is interested. read more

Juan installed clear bra on my 2013 honda accord coupe. AWESOME WORK!!! Very cheap price too!!

If you want to protect the front end of your brand new car from rock chips, I highly recommend TransparentBra to do the job. The owner/installer, Daniel Cook, not only offers the best price, but he will come to your home to do the install. He just did my 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid last Saturday, and he did a fantastic job.Once you have the transparentbra installed, you can rest assure, that you will not have to worry about those nasty looking rock chips on the front end again.Daniel also provides paint protection (which I also did) for your car, and offers a price break on that , if you get the TransparentBra. Thanks again Daniel, for the great service and work . read more

Juan installed paint protective film on my 2013 Lexus GS350 on 10/26/13. He was referred to me by a Lexus dealership and I have zero hesitation recommending him to anyone. I was nervous about the process since I was unfamiliar with the product and didn't want to mess up my new baby! Juan was patient answering my questions during multiple phone calls without making me feel stupid. He knows the business, knows the products, pays attention to detail, did not rush the job, and is one of the nicest people I've met. To top it off he traveled to Vacaville and installed it at our house! On a Saturday! The price was very competitive with other quotes I received, even though with this type of application you want the best - and I believe Juan was. It was a very positive experience and I'm happy I found him! read more

I work at Alioto's garage in sf as an estimator. We use Juan's services on a very regular basis and he's always come through for us. Works after hours and even on the weekends. Does great work and at a fair price. Can't wait to get my scooter and have him vinyl wrap it for me! read more

Really impressed! Juan knows his stuff. I went here to get some overlays installed on my STI and they look amazing. I will definitely be coming back to get some interior stuff done. Transparent Bra - Overlays installed by Juan - Auto Detailing Near Me - Berkeley, California

Just had the clear bra installed on my 2009 Mini Cooper S. Juan was very courteous and professional and took his time to make sure everything was just right. The install took 5 hours and the poor guy didn't even take a bathroom break, talk about dedication. Juan was also very friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant to be around with. I have used Transparent Bra before with my 2006 Nissan Murano. The quality of the install and material on that job led me back to them again for my Mini. The install included the front bumper, hood, scoop, headlights, fog lights, mirror and door strips. There were some bubbles after the install. Juan told me to wait about a month and if they don't evaporate, then Transparent Bra will replace that piece. Sounds good to me! read more

I used Transparent Bra when I purchased my Toyota Prius in 2005. They came to my home and installed the basic package which included full frontal and partial hood protection. I also requested rear bumper protection. I was so satisfied with the job that they performed that I contacted them again when I bought my 2010 Prius. This time I requested full hood and fender protection. Juan did a great job on the new car. There have been major improvements in the Ventureshield film since 2005. The new Clear Coat film is so shiny and clear that you have to look hard to tell that it has been applied. Transparent Bra offers a lifetime warranty and Juan will be replacing portions of the protection on my 2005 Prius with the new clear coat film. I have compared costs against other providers and found Transparent Bra to be very reasonably priced. If you consider the quality of the job that they perform, then there is no comparison. Juan performs a careful and meticulous job and I would not hesitate to recommend Transparent Bra to anyone looking for paint protection for their vehicle. read more

Just bought a new 2011 535 BMW and wanted to keep the front and lights from road damage. Check with the dealer, then with some referals, including one near Juan's location. All were much more expensive and hard sell. Then checked Yelp and found this company. His price was less and just as the reviews said, his quality was excellent. Like another reviewed said, professional, experienced, meticulous and patient plus a great attitude. He delivered when promised and took extra care to make sure the work was done correctly. It really great to find someone who takes pride in their work. Last week he detailed my other car and just like before, on time with great quality. Highly recommend. Hey and if you want to keep the front of your car and headlights like new, get one of his bras or at least get your headlights done. The bras really work! (and you cannot tell it is on). Just came back from 8 hours each way to Oregon, and it cleaned up like new. read more

I've been fortunate enough to have found Transparent Bra. They worked on my 1976 Caprice installed custom made door trim panels, for my speakers, AWESOME work! Juan, the owner, is as awesome as they come. His pricing is fair, quality is second to none & has the best customer service around. Regardless of what some other bitter YELPer's say about Transparent Bra, I stand behind them 100%. I will NEVER use another company. read more

Wow! What an incredible experience with my clear bra installation! Started with a phone call to set up an appointment at Juan's shop in Berkeley two days ago. I just returned from the installation. That's right, Sunday. This is convenient for me as I work Monday through Friday. Started with a hand shake and knew right a way Juan is the right guy. His shop floor is sparkling clean. Juan involved me durning the entire install. Juan answered all my concerns and before long we were chating as if we knew each other for a long time. Juan is genuine and truely is a nice person. Juan was meticulous to details and was never rushed during the installation. The whole install took about 3.5 hrs. I could not have been happier with the results. The cost of the install was very fair. I have absolutely NO reservation to recommend Juan to do clear bar install. I also saw some of his window tinting work. Again, absolutely perfection. I wish everyone I deal with is like Juan, straight forward and honest. A super happy customer! read more

I have been working with Juan for the last 12 years and he has done multiple cars for me. That includes clear bras, tint and custom stereo systems. He is a very hard working individual and definitely over-delivers and under promises. It is really hard to find people that know their product extremely well and take the time to train their customers on pros and cons. I recently moved to Orange County and bought a 2013 Bmw M5. I was in need of getting a clear bra and tint, but I could not buildup trust with any of the local shops. I never expected it, but Juan offered to drive 400 miles each way and complete the job. He worked really hard until 2am at my house and the job came out beautiful. We had US Open in Surfing that weekend and riots broke out, which made it impossible for Juan to finish. He offered to come back the following weekend and the job was completed yesterday. 1600 miles in two weekends, awesome prices and perfect quality of work. I will never go anywhere else. read more

I had the pleasure of having Juan come to my house and do the installation on my 370z. Juan was very friendly, professional and detail oriented, which is a must when installing these films. I could tell he was working very hard when i saw all the sweat on his forehead. He certainly did not mind lying on the ground getting wet and dirty installing the film. The price is very reasonable and cheaper than most companies i have come across. The film on the car is flawless and barely noticeable. I am now very happy to be worry free of chipped paint when cruising down the freeway. Transparent bra is highly recommended if you live in the bay area! read more

Juan did a clear bra on my wife's Altima Hybrid. Being a person with severe OCD when it comes to my vehicles I am not the easiest customer to deal with. Juan had no problem answering all of my questions and it is very clear that he knows everything there is to know on the products he sells. He has no problem explaining the entire process of installation and his work is perfect. We bought our car used so we had him do a detail on the vehicle as well. Perfect is the only way to describe his work. I usually pick up my car from a detail shop and have many issues. I had nothing to say. His quality of work is unmatched and I will continue to bring my cars to Juan and recommend him to everyone I know. I am extremely happy I passed on the very thick clearbra the dealer tried to sell us and went with Juan. Don't hesitate to use him. Excellent product, excellent customer service and very competitive pricing. read more
