The check engine light on my dashboard came on, and I took my car to an Aamco shop, where a…read moremechanic told me that the diagnostic message indicated that there was something wrong with my transmission's torque converter, and I was told that I was going to have to get the transmission replaced. I was given an estimate of $6,000, which is more than what I paid for the car when I purchased it six years ago. I decided to get a second opinion, and I took the car to this shop in Salem, which is an hour away from where I live. Robert identified that the issue was a bad solenoid, which had been causing the check engine light to come on, even though there was nothing wrong with the torque converter itself. This saved me a considerable amount of money, to say the least, and I am very grateful to Robert for his honesty and integrity, because I was certainly prepared to pay to have my vehicle's transmission replaced, if that had been stated to be the necessary course of action. This is an honest mechanic. I highly recommend this shop.

Klint said he would run my car on his diagnostic tool to make sure it wasn't something else so we didn't just change the alternator and have the problem be an issue somewhere else. He started work immediately and called me and told me it was indeed the alternator. I gave the go ahead at the agreed upon price and in less than 2 hours my car was done! Klint was very professional, knows his business, he is knowledgeable and above all honest and trustworthy! He is a very pleasant man to do business with, works quickly which is important when you only have one car. Klint and Driven Automotive will be my auto repair shop from now on!

What really was the last straw for me today was I got in my car to go to the doctor and there was a lot of mist on my windshield and dirt so I hit the stalk to spray the windshield fluid and the wipers went on but guess what there was still fluid so I went to manually turn the wipers on to clear the windshield again and guess what it didn't work so now I had to order a whole new windshield stalk assembly with the relay and sensor which alone is $165 not to mention that I have to pay someone to install it. And remember, he is the one that did the pre-inspection before I bought the car and what mechanic doesn't check the windshield wiper function to see that it works as part of this inspection? So, I also have found a handful of other things that need to be done on the car that he didn't bring to my attention. I absolutely cannot afford to go to a shop now with all of these issues, let alone to a crook like this. I found someone that is going to do it on site where I live and for $75 an hour but quite frankly I can barely afford that on my income with all of the parts that I had to buy. So in short, this guy is a liar and a thief. Stay far away from him and his shop!!!
