NEVER AGAIN Transblue! This has been HANDS DOWN the WORST experience I have EVER had with a Contractor. And never before have I found myself in the position of having to write such a NEGATIVE review ... about anything! But I feel a MORAL OBLIGATION to do so, so that others don't fall victim to the same. This company came recommended by ANGI's list. The owner came out to my property on 9/13/22 to give me a bid on a relatively simple and straightforward FENCING project - replacement of just TWO 50 ft sections of fence around my Winter Corral, plus installation of a GATE, so that my animals could have secure access to a big Barn during the Winter months. He emailed me a pretty 'slick' ESTIMATE, graphics and all, the VERY next day, though it was more than TWICE previous estimates I had gotten at least several months prior. When I told him very honestly that I was really "alarmed" by the total cost, he reduced it by almost half and said, "We will do an amazing job for you!" I thus moved forward with signing a Contract on 9/21/22 and made a hefty DOWN PAYMENT of $3,500+. Something I now wish I had never done! Weeks and weeks went by with NO COMMUNICATION whatsoever! No materials were EVER ordered or delivered, nor EVEN a projected START DATE given. And the more I nicely inquired about the latter, the more elusive were the replies, of none at all. Twice I expressed my concerns to the Owner via email about the weather turning cold and my need to have this project completed before Winter REALLY sets in, and for the sake of the animals. EACH TIME, I got a one line reply, saying "I will reach out to you tomorrow," or "I will call you tomorrow," but the calls NEVER came! After a solid SIX WEEKS had gone by, I was feeling increasingly anxious and concerned. And it was only then and when I first discovered OTHER very NEGATIVE reviews on YELP that I decided to CANCEL the Contract. When another customer writes about having to "hire a LAWYER" in an effort to recoup $16,000+, THAT is a MAJOR Red FLag!!! And most regrettably, I now find myself in the same situation with NO work ever having been compleated, nor EVEN begun. And here it is now mid-November. Perhaps there is some TRUTH to a former employee accusing the Owner of "stealing other people's money." In my own particular case, it does indeed now feel like a really bad case of 'TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN'! All efforts to reach anyone by phone at the Transblue Office have been totally in vain. Despite having left messages, no calls have been returned. I DID finally receive an email reply from the Owner just the other day, but only after I outlined an uncompromising 'course of action' I would be forced to take if I did not hear from him and receive a REFUND of my DEPOSIT right away. The latter has still NOT happened. And he told me in an email just yesterday that they "have until 12/21/22 to return the Deposit." So CLEARLY, he has been using MY money for OTHER purposes and NOT for the project for which it was intended. I think we call that, "Robbing Peter to pay Paul." Simply not acceptable in today's world and VERY SHADY business practice at best. This guy is in TROUBLE and he knows it on some level. The company is clearly in a VERY tenuous place financially. Were that NOT the case, a refund of my DEPOSIT would be issued RIGHT AWAY, no questions asked. But that has not been the case. Owner is also former military / Air Force and supposedly on 'military disability'. And much as I hate having to say this, I feel compelled to do so. Were he still on Active Duty and I his Commanding Officer, I would 'kick his ass to the curb' for flagrantly violating the CORE values in the Military CODE of CONDUCT - namely Honesty, Integrity and Accountability. In SUMMARY, this has turned out to be a TERRIBLE experience. And most unexpectedly so. It has left me in an enormous bind with Winter now upon us. And WORST part of all, not only am I OUT a LARGE amount of CASH, but there has been absolutely NO APOLOGY from the Owner. If this guy does not turn things around, and FAST, and conduct business based on expected Industry STANDARDS of Honesty / Transparency, Integrity, Accountability and truly Professional behavior, it is JUST a MATTER of TIME before this Ship GOES DOWN! I hired Transblue last March and they said there were a few projects ahead of mine, and that mine would take about 3 weeks to complete. Then in Aug they took down my fence and worked ten days since. whole time my fence is down and they never communicate anything. they screwed up the patio and haven't done anything to fix it in a month. they have alot of my money and I've diddly squat. read more

We hired Transblue in April 2022 to install a new patio, curbing, artificial turf and fencing in our backyard. We agreed on a price, signed a contract and gave them $16,892 to start the work, which was have of the total bid. We were told we would be put on the schedule in June, then July, then August. After several excuses, several rescheduled dates they finally arrive in September to possibly start work. We had asked several times that they could match the aggregate stairs we have with the new patio, the answer was yes each time. Our project manager, Rick and the concrete sub came to our home looked at the project once again and said work would start this week. That following afternoon, we received a message in BuilderTrend stating they could not match the stairs and they don't think they are a good fit for this project. They will deliver the roll of unistalled turf to our home and figure out how much money we will be getting back. Obviously, this was not an option. We are currently trying to get our money back from this company. They have ghosted us and now we have hired a lawyer. read more

I had a appointment set up for someone from Transblue to come out and give me an estimate for a landscaping/hardscaping project for my front and back yard. They gave me a two hour window of arrival for my appointment, but no one ever showed up to my house. About an hour after the time they were supposed to have been at my house, I called Transblue to follow up, no one answered so I left a voice message. No one called me back so after another hour after leaving my voice message I called them again. This time I was able to talk to someone and they apologized that no one showed up as scheduled to the appointment to give me an estimate, but he assured me his supervisor would call me back shortly to send someone out today or to set up an appointment on a different day. The day passed and I received no follow up phone call from the Transblue supervisor. I wasted a entire day waiting around for Transblue. If Transblue can't even keep an appointment or have the courtesy to contact me to reschedule it, how can they be trusted to do quality responsible work on someone's yard. read more

I originally hired Transblue to do 3 projects, new countertops, backsplash and refinish my hardwood floors. I signed my original contract in March, throughout the process I had very little communication. The project manager then called to tell me that the job to do my flooring was doubled in price and the person who bid it (from Transblue) did not know what they were doing and I should just cover my hardwood with vinyl planking. I had them pull that job. Months later after a fiasco of picking out the countertops the contractor called to set up a time to install the countertops - no one had removed the old ones and they said i had to do that - I contacted Transblue - no communication from my project manager, they sent someone to remove the countertops and ripped out the old backsplash leaving giant holes in my wall. The day that the contractor was going to install my countertops they did not show up - I had taken the day off work to be present ( I did this several times and no one showed up). When I inquired they said that I had not paid, I had paid Transblue, I contacted Transblue and confirmed that I had paid and they "got it worked out" finally got the countertops in, but someone else was doing the backsplash. Several no-shows, ran out of product, had to wait for more product. They grouted it before sealing it (marble) leaving terrible streaks on it, it took several visits to fix it, Project manager no longer there - no one informed me - new project manager never reached out even after I finally figured out who it was. The office manager was the only one who assisted me, she was helpful in getting things moving. They have a portal with a calendar that was never updated. Job finally completed In October (sort of - I did the final silicone grout myself - just over it by then). I sent in the final payment, after that also needed correction, and then I get a text that the payment did not go through as there is something "funky" with their system. Paid them $24,249.69, half the cost of the bid, in January 2022 to have them build a detached shop on our property. Eleven months and a lot of broken promises later and all I have to show for it is a torn up yard and depleted bank account. They have never provided a timeline for completion or project plan. The only thing they do well is take your money and then not show up to do any actual work. It took them 8 months to pull a permit and still haven't even poured concrete. We should have hired an attorney months ago. Leaving a bad review is the least we can do to keep others from being cheated out of their hard earned money. read more

Literally the worst company we have ever dealt with. Their behavior borders on criminal. $30k job. Five months overdue and still not complete. They no show. They outright lie. They are grossly incompetent. Clearly have zero idea what they're doing. They take zero accountability for any of their errors. I guess getting an attorney is our next step. read more
