Zero stars would be a vast overstatement. It's Dante's Inferno and should be shut down. When you…read morecan get the sole, lack luster and lazy male receptionist to answer the phone, which is rare, he hangs up on you or connects you to extensions where no one else answers and the "mailbox" is full. Looking for residents is like looking for a needle in a haystack unless, possibly, you live nearby and can go in person. I don't. My heart goes out to all the poor seniors who have been tossed in this God forsaken facility but something should be done to help them. UPDATE: Had to call the Sheriff's Department and finally received a call from a supervisor named Donna who was one of the rudest, most unsympathetic individuals I have ever had the misfortune to deal with; and she hung up on me, after calling me "honey" four times. This place should be shuttered and FL should be ashamed for allowing these unqualified, uneducated people to care for frail, unwell elders. Disgraceful!

I hope neither myself nor any family member or anyone close to me ever has to go to this facility…read more For the most part, it takes 20+ minutes for somebody to come and help you to use the restroom, the food is awful and those that bring it don't even know what it is without looking at the sheet listing the foods. The staff is horrendous as it's hard for them to decipher medication's or get you an ice pack. Everyone says I will check into that and they never do. While the physical therapy is good it is minimal. people other than myself were complaining and patients were yelling for Assistance and had to wait a very long time. the nursing supervisor Simply tries to smooth things over, but does not rectify the situation. In fact, she told me she'd be right back with her card and telephone number and never came, which was no surprise. Having said that, there are a few people to give extra kudos to who were wonderful including Val and nurse Ebed

I work in Hospice and I know families can be stressed and reactive during a loved ones illness. Empathy is necessary when dealing with patients and families. She is clearly not capable of being empathetic. Please pray for her. She has no idea what she has gotten herself into. She needs to be working at a truck stop. Her language has no place in a professional setting, particularly directed at overwhelmed family members and very ill patients.

My husband went in for surgery July 25th at C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center/Hospital. We got to…read morethe check-in area and there was no one present. HOWEVER, there was a big note that gave instructions on what to do. So we did. Shortly after a nurse appears and physically checks him in and gives me detailed instructions on where to wait, where the "mess hall" is and, a sheet of paper with a direct phone number in case I have any concerns or questions. And off he went into the surgery prep area. So, I made my way towards the onsite mess hall. Checked out a cozy little store on the way. Then made my way to the canteen and grabbed myself a coffee and hung out for a little bit. Finished my coffee and made my way back to the waiting room. And WOW, on the wall was a screen, that used case numbers instead of names (for privacy I'm sure - case # was on the paper the nurse gave me), which gives the status of each patient currently in surgery. What a great tool. Enjoyed some conversations with some very friendly women for about 45 minutes. And then I get a phone call...... FROM THE DOCTOR! he tells me everything went well, and to go ahead and make my way back to the check-in area where my husband will meet me shortly. And it was shortly... So, A++++ in my book. Their ORGANIZATION alone gets my vote. BUT THERE IS MORE I had to ask for directions to the canteen a few times (my first visit), and each STAFF MEMBER I asked was MORE THEN HAPPY TO HELP ME The WAITING ROOM was CLEAN and had PLENTY OF SEATING plenty of SOCKETS FOR CELL PHONES and a DRINK MACHINE - NICE!!! And then to get a PERSONALIZED CALL FROM THE DOCTOR!!! Please - most doctors want to charge you for an aspirin let-a-lone call you personally with an update!!! THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL!!! THANK YOU FOR BEING A GREAT PLACE!!!!
