We tried a non-invasive treatment that was helpful but didn't cure the issue. Finally got the guts to schedule the surgery - and very glad I did. Dr. Cruz took time to explain the surgery ahead of time and what to expect after. He was spot on correct - there was no pain after surgery and everything is healing up as he explained. Based on my experiences, biz name "Gentle Foot Care" is correct and I highly recommend Dr. Cruz.

The location in Hyde Park was quite convenient for us. They was a semi-crazy patient in the waiting area, but hey, you can't hold a practice responsible for every crazy patient. We were kept waiting a reasonable period of time, given that they were working us in for an appointment on short notice. The office receptionist was pleasant. Most importantly, the doctor seemed competent and knowledgable, with a an appropriate bed side manner. All in all, a highly acceptable visit. Still, for reasons I cannot explain, it is tough to give this practice more than three stars. It just seems to me a little seedy, and there must be five star practices out there. This one was perfectly competent, that's it. I'll stretch for a four star rating.

She developed good rapport and I felt safe and understood and cared about. I couldn't imagine a better doctor. She didn't rush the interview. She paid close attention to me and used the computer as an aide to the discussion only. The care was way more in depth than civilian doctors with their 10 minute money making, box checking, agenda-driven, insurance driven care. Thank God for the VA. It is the BEST benefit of serving in the military. The care is amazing compared to community care. Especially the specialty services like GYN, GI, pharm care. I pray the VA can be protected and saved so I can go to physicians like Dr. Pitt.

I have been a patient of Dr.Pitt for over a decade but in the last 3 years her bedside manner and…read moreoverall quality has diminished. The lady who was once a caring doctor suddenly rushed me through appoints without answering questions and told me to "look it up online". I came to her multiple times over the course of 2years with side effects related to LARC birth control and she continually dismissed me. I finally said I would remove it myself if she refused. I only did this after I found out she had lied to me saying the side effects were not related to the birth control but then wrote on my medical records that they were and were a common side effect!! Horrible to let a patient suffer for so long knowing there was a legitimate problem with a simple solution. Not to mention all of the other tests, exams etc I had to endure. If you are a patient here think long and hard before getting and IUD or Nexplanon because if you have a problem and want it removed early they may refuse. Also forcing patients to come in months early for unnecessary pelvic exams in order to obtain birth control pill refills, even if paps are current and negative. I have to agree with previous comments that this office no longer cares about their patients only how much money they can make off of you.
