My Salesman (Joseph Valverde )was not pushy or not did he try to talk me into a larger more expensive trailer, straight forward and easy to talk with and had answers. The place was busy but yet we still felt taken care of with water and casual conversation to pass the time. Worst customer service ever. We showed up looking to purchase 4 trailers. They do not accept Purchase Orders, so we attempted to set up a wire transfer. Two weeks of ignoring all correspondence. Dragging their feet, not answering calls. I was never able to get a manager on the phone. The staff don't care whether they make a sale. read more

In response to this company's ridiculous defense, at no time was the damage on the trailer pointed out or posted as these clowns claim. I inspected it prior to handing them $6K CASH, they damaged it while pressure washing it and that has been confirmed by a previous employee. He stated that "while it was being sprayed off, the pressure nozel struck the trailer causing the dent", they hoped I would not see it. If I could give zero stars, I would. Here's the deal. I purchased a trailer from this location in 2018. In 2019 I took it back to the same shop to have them weld a spare tire onto the trailer. Their first mistake They welded a 6 lug spare tire onto the trailer when it has 5 lug tires. The guy welding the tire onto the trailer just had to look at the tires to make sure he was doing the correct work but that didn't happen. Their system was also wrong because their own system can't tell if the trailer I purchased from them has 5 or 6 lug tires. ** I brought this up to the guy on the phone and he said " I wasn't here during that time" So that mistake never happened bc you weren't at the Lakeside location? Admit your mistakes and make it right. 2nd mistake 2020 now. The spare tire was stolen off the trailer so I contacted them for a new spare tire. They looked up which tire my trailer uses (keep in mind I purchased the trailer from them so their system should get this correct) and when I showed up the guy went into the back area and came out with a tire for me. I never asked for a certain size tire as I thought they would get it right since they do this everyday. I walked out the door, drove home, to find out that yet again it was a 6 lug tire when my trailer has 5 lug tires. I contacted them to bring back the 6 lug tire and replace it with a 5 lug tire and guess what? NO REFUNDS. They wouldn't issue me a refund and offered me a discount if I purchased the correct size tire from them. There is a difference between you selling me the wrong product like you did here and me purchasing the wrong product. I didn't walk into the shop and ask for a certain size tire as it's your job to provide me with the correct size tire which didn't happen. This is some kind of scam you're running here guys. You give the customer the wrong product then tell them all sales are final and that I'm stuck with a tire I can't use. DON'T SUPPORT THIS LOCATION OR COMPANY. read more

They have a good online presents with a well maintained website, which is the only reason I didn't give them a one star rating. Pulled the bait and switch on my family business. Was shown a dump trailer exactly what we needed. Agreed on a price first red flag was it took three times for the paper work to show the price that the salesman agreed on. Went to go pay for and pick up the trailer, the trailer they tried to give me was dented, rusted, and not what I even looked at. Walked over to the trailer I was shown the day before and asked why isn't the one I was shown (by the same salesman) not the one I would be buying. Claimed ignorance and he just had the wrong information. Placed a $250 deposit for a trailer. Returned with a check for purchase but the trailer did not pass the pre-delivery inspection (defective door and some other quality control issues) Their solution was to add some weather stripping and hope it didn't get worse. That was unacceptable, so we did not purchase the trailer. We were told they had another one similar coming in we could have. Later informed that trailer was not available either. They have been unable to find us the trailer size we need. We were told if we did not buy the trailer that failed the PDI we would forfeit our deposit, even after they told us they would get us another one. After weeks of them trying to find one, the salesman has told us his "Regional Manager" refuses to refund it. DO NOT give them a deposit! He took the time to explain the different qualities of the various models and did not pressure us in any way. Bought my trailer late last year (September/Octoberish), and they lost the DMV paperwork. After 3 months of not getting my plates, I called and they told me stuff got lost and they need me to come back in to fill out my forms again. Three months later, no plates. I called over and over. They kept telling me that their guy is at the DMV now getting them (this happened multiple times). After weeks of nothing, they called and said they lost the paperwork and need to mail me forms to fill out. I filled them out and still nothing. This has been incredibly infuriating and I will never buy from them again. I've been wanting to sell my trailer for months but can't because they won't get me any paperwork. I'll update this if there's any change. I've bought three new vehicles this year from various dealers and the plates came in a matter of a few weeks so this is pretty problematic. read more

I drove about 30 miles with cash in my purse and a trailer hitch on my truck, ready to purchase an enclosed trailer. I was greeted right away by a personable & knowledgable sales person who asked great questions. He then explained he had two customers ahead of me and invited me to check out the enclosed trailers on the lot. Sales guy said my budget was realistic and I was excited to make a purchase and leave with my new trailer. I kicked every trailer tire on the lot during the next hour. Sales guy was still with another customer so I just wandered around in circles. A couple times sales guy yelled out to me letting me know he would be with me soon. He was clearly busy and I assumed he was there alone. Besides, I liked him and he knew what I wanted to buy. After another half hour I went to my truck to make a phone call. Eureka! Finally sales guy walked up to my car (I was still on the phone) and apologized for the wait. "Yay!" I thought. It was finally my turn. Then, to my utter disbelief, he said he had to go to lunch. What???!!!!!???? He went on to tell me that his manager, Jason, was inside the office and I was welcome to go inside the building to tell him what I was looking for. What???!!!??? So the entire time I was waiting and wandering around the lot there was someone else who could have closed the deal with me? Why didn't HE come out to assist me? Why didn't he come out to assist the sales guy? Did he even know I was there! Why didn't my sales person suggest I go into the office sooner? And why did I have to explain one more time what I wanted to buy? I hope the answer isn't that I was not taken seriously because I was a woman. Regardless, I left empty handed after an hour and a half of wandering and waiting for help. I felt extremely frustrated that I wasted my time and perplexed by the entire sales experience. I purposely went on a Tuesday early afternoon so the place wouldn't be swarming with customers. I wish the place was swarming with staff who wanted to trade $5,000 for a trailer. If it was so difficult to buy a trailer at this place I can only imagine the service I would get if there was a problem with my purchase. read more

Sorry to say that I had a pretty bad experience with this trailer company. They seem like a bunch of nice enough guys but it takes more than friendly people to run a business. Brought my trailer in for service. Work was supposed to take a day. End of the day work wasn't done. Gave them another chance and brought my trailer back. They asked if I can leave it so I did. Came back the next day, work wasn't done again. The manger guy told me the person that was supposed to be doing the work hurt his foot so he had to go home early and could't work on my trailer. Then the guy that supposedly hurt his foot tells me his daughter had a fall and they had to take her to the emergency room and that was why he didn't do the work. Then I pointed out that I caught them in a lie and was STILL willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. All in all, it took 2 weeks and 4 trips with 2 drop offs to fix a problem that was quoted at a half a day to do. I will NOT be returning to Trailers Plus. I came to trailers plus lakeside with a budget much like everyone else. Once I got there I was like a kid in a candy store. I would recommend you go to a place like this with the same metality of buying a car. You will see one trailer with all the bells and whistles and believe me, it will keep you wanting to add add add, I came here with a 5k budget and ended up spending around 7k after seeing all the options I wanted to add. I am very happy with my purchase and the team at trailers plus were very accommodating. Their tech is also very helpful and will make sure you leave understanding everything about the trailer you purchased. I recommend these guys to anyone looking to purchase a trailer. He spent time with me showing me what they had available and helping me choose the size I needed. Yes another one star. I bought a trailer from them. Was ok. But to contact them for anything is like calling the President of the U.S. on the phone. A very nice corporate message with no one ever answering the phone. On hold for long time and then sent to voice mail where they never return calls. If you expect any service at all or to ever talk to anyone this is not the place to buy a trailer. I wish a few more competitors would come to the areas because it would put them immediate out of business. Unless you are desperate GO SOMEWHERE else. They claim to be helpful but its a joke. Not bad service, but NO service. Instead of calling them to find out information to attempt to repair and maintain my trailer I will just go to every social media platform to make sure no one does business with them. It better worth my time to help others here rather than try to call them for help. It takes much less time and effort. I will just go to another company for maintenance and repair. I don't think this is a local issue or manager its a company philosophy , training, and mission. How they are still in business is almost shocking. Have also bought accessories and replacement parts in the past and they were extremely helpful in identifying and locating exactly what I needed. We purchased a trailer from this store back in January. Brent was there at the time and sold us a 14,000 GVWR trailer and assured us that as long as we do not tow over 10,000 lbs we would be fine with our Class C license. We purchased the trailer and towed it away. This week we were pulled over by the CHP and discovered that they never registered the trailer (we only had a temp) and that we are not allowed to tow this size trailer without a Class A license. So the trailer was impounded, we had to quickly register it with the DMV, clear it with CHP and get it towed back to our office where it now sits. TP confirmed that they never registered it and offered to derate the trailer so that we can drive it with a Class C license. I called the CHP to confirm that they could do that and was told NO, that it is illegal. TP would have to actually return the trailer to the manufacture and have the braking system and chassis redone. According to TP "They do this all the time" REALLY??!! Well the CHP was very interested in that. I have requested my registration be completed and my impound fees of $650 dollars be reimbursed to me and have been told by TP that they are not liable for that. I am writing this review to warn others, do NOT let them derate your trailer. It is not legal and you will be in trouble with the CHP if ever pulled over. It seems as though Brent did what he had to do in order to sell us a trailer for $2K more than a trailer we could legally tow. Brent and his entire staff have been fired according to TP "due to these types of things" but TP still does not feel liable. WOW!! read more

YOU have to call first before going...The call center is a joke, 2 calls did not even ring, 2 calls dropped, once I was cut off. So I drove to Lakeside to pickup the trailer. The place is as large as a football field, you do not need to get within 20 feet of anyone to conduct business (and it is deserted, not a sole in sight), yet I was refused entry to buy a trailer because I had no appointment so they wanted me to wait 2 hours on site for an appointment. The guy in the lot left me hanging and went to lunch, he is just an hourly employee with no vested interest to sell a trailer, can't blame him, same with the lady at the call center, she could care less as well. Whoever is running this operation is a poor businessperson or completely out of control anal about procedure. I say this and they oh yea this is the best we can do. WTF!? why did you tell me on the phone you would give me $100 discount for cash if you cant do it?? SO i left without trailer. I didn't want to buy any of their trailers, but I let them know I was going to look elsewhere and no push back, all help, they actually gave my phone # to one of their customers(with my permission) that was having a trailer built by them, he was selling his old Trailer and I ended up buying it and using for my move. I bought my trailer 5 years ago. I had a left turn signal not working. I talked with Russ and brought it in for service. He found a loose wire and did not charge me. They even sprayed painted some rust spots, inflated my tires to the proper pressure, greased my wheel bearing and inspected the whole trailer. Oh and did I tell you they did not charge me. Had a trailer we bought new and right off the bat realized to landing gear (leg) was way too low even fully retracted. They argued it wasn't and sure enough not even a month later ripped it off and bent leg bracket. Took it in for warranty and have had it over 2 weeks for maybe a 30 min repair.
