Do NOT buy a KingFisher boat from Gibbons Motor Toys, serious warning from a local customer…read more Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere. Had a shifter cable problem since day one of purchase. According to Gibbons Motor Toys, the issue was a design flaw straight from the original KingFisher 1975 factory hull design, where the hole under the dash designed for the shift cables etc. to fit through was too small, causing the jacketing of the shift/throttle cable to rub on the rough cut aluminum edges, ultimately exposing the underlying cable to outdoor elements along with binding of the cable against raw aluminum which made the throttle feel "sticky" and "stiff" resulting in less controllable low speed maneuvering around, docks, etc. The "ultimate fix" for Gibbons Motor Toys was to order a brand new shift cable? (boat only has 11 hours at this point).. okay.. so we waited 4 months for that. The custom made part still didn't fit properly, so then the solution was to hack apart the underside of our cockpit area with a die grinder, trying to open the hole enough to alleviate the pressure of the shift cable against the side of the hole they drilled originally. None of this helped...neither the brand new shift cable that we waited months for, or the "custom fabrication job" they did on our boat to make the new shift cable feel smoother in operation. Avoid these guys and find a shop that actually honest and knows what they're doing, you will save thousands in the long run.

The staff here are disorganised and rude. I had booked my trailer at a different location where it…read morewas said to be available which was later changed to this location without consulting with me. When I arrived to pick the trailer I was sent back and forth multiple times, in and out of the building with staff telling me the other staff would deal with me. Once the staff at the desk started checking me in, the dates in their system must have got messed up when they changed the location because they told me I booked it wrong and it wouldn't be available which ended up being wrong and it was available. Even if I had booked incorrectly, which I had not, there is no need to be rude. On dropping off the trailer, the yard was chaotic. While moving my trailer, someone in a van cut me off, parked, then they went to pull out and ripped the front end off of a customers car with the back number of there van. I was so glad to get out of there and hope I never go back again.

If you need a rental truck and cannot find someone to lend you one privately then U-haul is the way…read moreto go. The staff at this particular location is very helpful and friendly, but the the service is slooooowww. Be prepared to wait even in a small line, for a while. Just picking up some boxes? See a couple people in line? Better book the afternoon off. I wish I was joking. We reserved a u-haul for a move in the winter, and if your doing out of town moves prepare to pay $$$. The Truck was older, dirty and had bald tires. While returning the truck we got stuck in a well traveled residential area. Uhaul support (over the phone) was rude and not helpful. Luckily some fellas passing by in a truck were able to pull us out, because U-haul customer support informed us that we would have to pay for the tow truck. We were relieved to be back on the road after 2 hours of pulling this monster out of the snow, but were 2 hours late returning the vehicle. Staff at this location were kind and didn't charge us a late fee. Thank you for that by the way.
