Today I received flowers and chocolate for Valentine's Day. The flowers are okay, but not up to the usual standard at all. My husband spends $2-300 each time, so it's usually really nice. This year there are mostly carnations, a few already wilting tiny roses. The basket itself is very poor quality, not worth saving. He ordered the large box of chocolates to accompany the flowers. What arrived is a tiny box with six heart shaped chocolates in cheap packaging with no company name or ingredients on the box.The chocolates cost $30. That's $5 per chocolate. He dropped off the gifts himself and apologized because he could see it wasn't as nice as usual. He really prides himself on getting me these fancy bouquets 4x a year. I hated to see him disappointed. I called the shop to ask if I got the wrong chocolates or flowers, but they said the chocolates are locally made but somehow the chocolate is from Dubai (a place where cacao does not grow) and somehow that makes the chocolate so expensive that the boxes are really tiny. I also asked how many chocolates were in the small size since I got a large, but the lady didn't give me an answer. I have heard that this place is under new management. And this Yelp has no reviews even though this place has been here for 20 years. Did they delete the Yelp and replace it? I have no idea. I have always recommended this place but that ends today. The bouquets and gifts from here were expensive, but always worth it until now. I don't like that I got brushed off when I called. When you spend $250 and are not happy with the quality, I expect more than the answers I got.

A decade ago or more, prices for offered items began to disappear. Manager said, "they change all the time, we can't keep up with it". Haven't visited this store for a year or such, but went there in mid October to stock up on a few things. First of all, this store is yet another one having been bought up by the Kavumbalanders from the other world. Going through the isles, we found not one of the items showing a price. Asking a salesperson about it, he said, "we don't do this". Then I asked for prices of working gloves. They used to offer a package of 12 pairs at quite a discount when just purchasing one pair. "No such thing", salesman grinned all over his Kavumba face. Asked for prices of the things I intended to purchase, I found those to be plainly outrageous, in tune with other businesses that were bought by Kavumbalanders in Fort St. John. Totally disgusted, I threw items gathered back wherever space was available and hightailed it out of there, fast. We will not spend one red, dead cent in there until prices for items are shown and those prices reflect realities, not bottomless greed.

Their selection is not as vast as some huge one stop warehouse places, but their prices are fair and the staff do their best to help you get the hardware you need.
