Lincoln…read moreSquare used to be the perfect place to live but not anymore, Why because when Paula Mandaglio became the new manager she immediately started firing all the black staff including the the ones that took care of the grounds during the summer and winter. She evicted so many tenants that were on "Section 8" without cause. She told the remaining residents that her plan was to turn Lincoln Square Apartments into a gated community so she could get Cops, Lawyers, Doctors and College students to move in. In her words "I have to get rid of all the rift wrath" in other words the black residents and tenants that were on section 8. Paula almost was victorious when it came down to getting rid of all Lincoln Square's residents. A group of them joined together and was able to get Legal Aid and the NAACP involved, bringing Paula's plans to a halt. All though she didn't get her way it wouldn't stop her from harassing her tenants with infractions for 5 months straight. I can't help but to look at the reviews on this complex and say that maybe two of them are legit because these units are not affordable, they used to be before Paula up the rent. As a current resident I can honestly say we were paying $550 plus electric but now it's $1200 or $1100 depending on what you pick. Truth be told these units are not even worth have of what we have to pay. There's no central air nor washing machines or dryers in the units. Paula is making us pay for basic upgrades which include "flooring, lighting and stainless steel appliances". There's no maintenance workers she fired every last one. She's never in the office, when I say that, I mean literally never here. It's hard to get in contact with here because she refuses to communicate with her tenants. She just wants money! My unit is one of the newer ones and it's terrible. What you see on the website isn't what you get. And as of 09/23 she's back to evicting residence for no reason at all. For Lincoln Square Apartments to remain active. Paula Mandaglio is going to have to go. New management is needed. Paula Mandaglio has ran this community into the ground, do not let her smile and her dancing fool you! She is very naïve and she does not, and I quote she does not like Black people! Until Lincoln Square Apartments/634 properties seek new management please stay away look elsewhere. You will be better off and this is coming from a resident.

Cons. Too expensive for a place that still has kitchen…read morecabinets from 1992. They are peeling and splitting. The kitchen floor is old and disgusting. The appliances are old and when they break you're given an older one. Right after I moved in, they started updating all the condos as people moved out. The parking lots are cracked and uneven. Weather strip on garage has been "fixed" 3 times and still doesn't seal. Storm door keeps falling apart. Doesn't seal. Interior door is crooked. I've tried to get on list for upgraded condos for two years and they always say no. Pros. Maintenance guys are nice and professional. Utilities are efficient and easy on costs. Ladies in office are nice. It's not the workers, it's the company I'm sure. I'm 62 and a disabled vet. My rent goes up with nothing to show for it. Just sad.

I've had multiple issues that ended up forcing me…read moreto go rent another place for my family including a 1 year old and and 8 month pregnant women to live because my apartment was not able to be heated beyond 56 degrees on a good day. This cost me an addition $2500 while still being forced to pay $657 a month for a vacant apartment with NO HEAT!!! The maintenance team were great did what they could but management refused to even answer or return a phone call! Completely unacceptable in my opinion. I even tried to work out a partial payment on the remaining two months of my lease. I was offered no help, and was told the windows were old and the new boiler didn't work aswell as the old one did, there was nothing else they could do. I had plastic tapped to my windows that feel of days later and barely helped. I wasn't going to post this and I hate to do it. But after months of no response not even a phone call I figure the least I can do is to share my experience and hopefully save someone else from losing their valuable time and hard earned money. I WOULD NOT recommend this place or any other property owned by GMS Management to anyone!
