From the time we connected with Eric over the phone we were treated with care and concern. We met the day are mother passed and he was thorough and helpful in making decisions. We were fortunate the funeral and services were to be in Lodi where he is part of the community. He helped with the church, pastor, organist and cemetery. We used them to bury my grandfather. Was supposed to be open casket and got the run around and a lot of shady responses when it wasn't. Long story short, we don't believe my grandfathers body was in the casket. I don't know what you do with dead bodies on the black market, but pretty sure that's where grandpa went. We will be exhuming his casket - expensive process - but can't let people get away with this. We also never got the jewelry memorable we paid for, memorial cards, the whole thing was an awful experience. read more

2 years and still waiting for a necklace that was promised to me. I ordered multiple items. The one I had made for me with the thumb print and name I wanted was incorrect. He did not charge me for this one item but I would have paid to get what i ordered. It meant to much to me to have what I ordered. He made many promises and never came through so many text messages of promises that were never met. I have came to peace that I will never get this item. When you are dealing with a death and the only one taking care of arrangements in a drop of a dime you go with what you can. Wish I would have researched more and truly wish I got what I ordered still. But memories is what truly matters most. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

What I want to let other people know is that Eric kept giving me inaccurate information throughout the whole process and was unreliable at a time when that makes a difference. Particularly after we picked up the ashes, which kept being promised and not delivered, and were waiting for the death certificates to arrive. He told me they were going to arrive three different times and they never showed up. Pretty sure he picked up two of the ten at the County Recorder and then some came in the mail and then some by overnight mail. All along I was supposed to pick them up in person 3 weeks after March 15 and the first one I got was April 13. He even sent more than 10. It was all a little fishy and he should have just said he screwed up. Honesty is the best policy. read more

From the moment I contacted Eric he used compassion to help me feel at ease and I knew immediately that he would help not only guide us through this difficult process but share this burden with us. I cannot say enough about the professional and kind service from these folks. Also the price could not be beat. My dad was a veteran and they had a special package including the casket for under $2000 not including taxes. We had the service at the VA memorial and we did not need an open casket so that also helped. My sister and I had visited a more traditional funeral home prior and were aptly weirded out. Tradition Care has its offices behind a suburban mini mall in an office suite. It felt more like walking into a lawyer's office, neat and professional. Eric, the owner, greeted us with the proper mix of respect, sincerity and a lightness responding to our practical approach which we really appreciated. The memorial service was guided by an associate, Linda, who directed us and took proper charge there even though we did not have a chance to fill her in on the details ahead of time. . They clearly were experienced and knowledgable. We really appreciated that as we needed the guidance. I'm so glad a friend of mine insisted I call a few places before on deciding on a place. If I had gone with my first choice, I'm sure they would have done everything with dignity also but I also would have paid double if not triple the cost! read more

One of the most horrible aftercare experiences from any business we've ever experienced. This Eric jerk lied and said the death certificates couldn't be posted which I found out they could and I had to go to the county's website, order them and they mailed them to us straight away. The girl at the county office said of course they could be mailed. That was part of what was paid for. He was just trying to save some money and we ended up paying twice. Just a rude person who doesn't know anything about customer service to begin with and being in the funeral business where you have to have twice the compassion, he has none. The same thing happened with the ashes. He lied and said he wasn't allowed to mail the ashes to us. We even offered to pay for the postage. Here's a quote from the Neptune Society. "Yes, the cremated remains can be shipped within the United States, and they will be shipped through United States Postal Service, Express Mail with a return receipt". He couldn't even do that. Bottom line was it should have been an easy transaction especially after a loved one died and he made it one of the hardest things to do while grieving. PLEASE, do yourselves a favor and find a real compassionate funeral home and not this hypocrite. I wish there was a negative star rating because he would get it. read more

He made arrangements for my family and I to take my husbands ashes to sea and ordered a car service to take us to the boat. He special ordered an urn that fit my husbands taste perfectly.
