The value is so good because I got gta 4 for 12 bucks and that a good price for a game and everything was cheap for that price of the stuff. Always wanted to check out this place but never got the time. Stopped by recently to sell an item I have had in my possession for some time and also to check out their merchandise. I called beforehand too to make sure I would be able to sell my item. The man on the phone said "yes we can definitely take that." So I mosey my way up to Nashua and walk in and was met by what sounded like the same man on the phone from 45 minutes prior. He did not seem too friendly despite standing at the entrance seemingly waiting for customers. We took the item over to the counter. We exchanged a few words about how I acquired the item, why was I looking to get rid of it, etc. The man said "yeah I just don't know what the market would be for this" and turned me away. So I left with my item still in hand after (who I assume to be) the same man I talked to over the phone about it denied me after saying he could take the item. I wanted to check out what the store had to offer originally, but after that lackluster and unfriendly customer service, can you really blame me for leaving? But oh well, life goes on. read more

If you do a lot of the work around your your home, renovations etc you can buy used professional tools here. I am doing some work and having a framing gun saved a lot of time and effort. Not $450 worth but definitely $100 worth. And I have it for future projects. It maybe a bit beat up and heavy but it works. read more

Just leaving here now. Horrible customer service. Very rude people here. Just dealt with a tall guy, maybe in his 50s about a Dewalt Saw and Dewalt vacuum with three batteries. The saw is in decent shape, needs a new blade and the vacuum is ok at best. The batteries are dated from 2006. They want $129 for the set and I asked if I could make an offer. He said no, because you are getting so much with it. I said the batteries are no good. He said, "Well whatever. You get three batteries and at least you're getting that for this price." I told him I am all set with it then. He then just walked away and rudely said, "Well bye then." Everything here is overpriced. It's not all junk, there really are some nice things here, but the prices are way too high. Tool boxes up over $1000 that are dented and dirty. They have a vacuum pump that came from Harbor Freight that is clearly in used condition, for $10 less than new. I wouldn't buy Harbor Freight power equipment new, let alone used from some shame pawn shop. As other reviewers here on Yelp and across the internet have said, I do not see a long life expectancy for this place. On a lighter side, I did let loose a nice stinker in their bathroom. For example, some kids were playing a guitar and amp in the store, not loud mind you and over the loudspeaker a staff member in an annoyed tone said "are you going to be done soon, I've lost an employee for over an hour now". Really dude? There are a million ways to handle that but that's just plain rude. Not to mention the prices. A USED Les Paul Studio guitar for $800 labeled as a "price drop". The tag said $1100 new. You know what? I'll go buy one cheaper at guitar center and be able to get a full refund if I don't like it. You guys have to get one thing straight, you are a PAWN SHOP and you can't charge the same prices as guitar center for used music gear. XBOX 360s for $130-$170? Really? I got a NEW one with games for $160 on Amazon. Ridiculous. I haven't tried to trade anything in, but I have read another review saying they rip you off big time. This regards a Company named Salstar Stores, Inc dba "Tradeland". TradeLand sells some of their items on Ebay under the Ebay user ID of tradelandnh. Tradeland lists items within the "Ebay seller prefilled in sections" listing shipping cost and stated methods of shipping. TradeLand later tries to change things up & charge more after payment is received in full according to Ebay as well. On 7-7-2016 I won the high bid on an Automotive Scan Tool for $760.00 plus $26.95 with a total cost PER EBAY of $786.95. The auction terms PER EBAY for were $26.95 "Economy Shipping" Shipping, Handling and Insurance to lower 48 US States. I promptly paid the "Seller's Invoice" that TradeLand sent to me on the same day. The invoice sent by TradeLand had additional notes that stated " As soon as we receive payment we will forward tracking #. Thanks". The following day on 7-8-2016 TradeLand sent me a 2nd Paypal invoice OUTSIDE of the Ebay transaction requesting an additional $13.05 while stating: "The Snap On Modis you purchased on ebay requires $40.00 for shipping to California. Please forward $13.05 to complete this order. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you." This is called Ebay FEE AVIODANCE & is an Ebay policy violation. This is strictly PROHIBITED by Ebay & can result in further actions being taken against TradeLand's account by Ebay if reported. Paying additional fees OUTSIDE of Ebay and that of the original payment transaction does NOT cover the buyer against the fraudulent activity. It also does NOT tie the 2nd payment into the Ebay system as part of the Ebay agreed payment and purchase. DO NOT DO IT! TradeLand sent me a personal e-mail stating "Please forward the difference and I'll get right out to you." with the 2nd invoice by Paypal. TradeLand also stated, "This package size and weight doesn't qualify for Economy Shipping" even though that is how he listed it on Ebay! LradeLand usually list ALL of his items with "Economy Shipping" too! In the end TradeLand was forced to refunded the full payment as ALL Ebay purchases ARE covered against fraudulent sellers like TradeLand. TradeLand relisted the same item the same day with the same stated "Economy Shipping" per EBAY of $26.95 BUT changed the listing to state Shipping, Handling and Insurance to lower 47 US States. It clearly stated lower 48 US States at time of purchase too. This former FL Police Officer caught TradeLand scamming & cheating! TradeLand stated that this item does NOT qualify for Economy Shipping regardless of the fact that that is how he had it listed and how it was relisted at the time of this review as well. SCAMMER ALERT! TradeLand listings on Ebay have fraudulent attempts that they THINK will save them from returns and other actions by buyers. For example the listing terms state "14 day returns accepted". Then TradeLand attempts to mislead ALL buyers by stating within the ebay item description "I won't accept a return if you simply changed your mind". EBay's prefilled in format says other wise too! TradeLand listings state: "IMPORTANT: You will have 24 hours to inspect/test the item for defects or for damage from shipping only. If item is determined to have been "used" or "tried out" and returned in a different condition we will not accept it's return. If auction item description states that it is being sold "AS IS" we will not accept return for any reason." Yet TradeLand listing clearly show 14 day returns accepted too. ALL Ebay purchases ARE PROTECTED for ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED cases to which Craig has no option to refuse or deny. So for buyers that have been taken, defrauded, or extorted by Craig, all you need to do on Ebay is to open a case "For item NOT as Described" and you will WIN your case due to Ebay and Paypal buyer's protection & TradeLand is forced to pay return shipping by Ebay. I am an Ebay Power Seller and know what I am talking about. Google the information I have provided it if needed. Buyers now have up to 180 DAYS (SIX MONTHS) to file "Item Not Received and Significantly Not as Described" with Paypal. Paypal states: Paypal increased the time for buyers to file a merchandise dispute (Item Not Received and Significantly Not as Described) from 45 days to 180 days. All references in the User Agreement to "Opening a Dispute within 45 days" have been updated to reflect "Opening a Dispute within 180 days." Don't let this happen to you. Buyers now have more Power & Protection than TradeLand has as a Seller when accepting Paypal payments. BUYERS BEWARE!! read more

Ok people, this review is way overdue but I was recently reminded of my experiences with TradeLand so I figure I might as well tell the Yelp community about it. Sit back for this wild ride. First I need to say BEFORE any of the following happened, I had tried to sell to them a few times prior. I have a history in sales and have worked in places that dealt with used items, so I completely understand they need to make a profit. But both times I was offered approximately 15-20% of what I felt the items were worth so deals were not made. This becomes relevant later. On to the story...in prior visits I had not purchased anything, primarily because I felt they were a bit overpriced. But the ever changing selection made me come back every few months for a poke around. Then one fine day on my way home from work, on a whim, I stopped by. I saw a bargain! A lovely LP record set marked at only $20. It was sealed in their own shrink wrap so I wondered if something was missing or if the albums themselves were damaged. I took the set to the register and asked if I could inspect before buying. I insured him I would buy if it was complete and in decent shape. The guy (I'll call employee #1) said no problem and opened it for me. As I was about half way through the contents another guy walked up (employee #2) and the three of us started chatting. The price of this set came up and employee #2 was shocked at the $20 figure. He asked employee #1 who priced it because that seemed way too cheap. He even said any one of the records could be $20 each. Employee #1 grabbed the shrink wrap from the trash and inspected it, then said "who do you think?" And they both chuckled. By then I was done and more than happy with what I saw. I said "yeah I'll take it" and paid for my records and left. I got to my car and grabbed my phone. I looked at eBay (as I'm sure they do) to see the last one that sold on eBay brought a price of $20. Makes sense. But I read the auction listing closely to find that the sale there was for ONLY the empty box. Seems they were hasty with their research. I shrugged and went home. Made up for some of the deals I gave them I suppose. Fast forward a few months and I stopped in another day after work. As I waked in I was met with another employee (employee #3) who greeted me then asked if I remembered him. I said "yeah, I recognize you from shopping here." and started to walk further into the store. He stopped me and confirmed that "I was the guy that bought the Beatles records" and then he went into an explanation of how the company made him pay the difference of how it was priced and what they paid for it. I told him I was sorry and walked in. I quickly noticed I was being watched heavily. Another guy (employee #4, pretty sure he was a manager) was literally following me around the store. I didn't let it bother me but when I wanted to inspect another LP, I followed the signs and asked #4 for permission. I said "Don't worry, know how to handle records". To my shock he said in an extremely snarky (one might say pissy) way, "Oh, I know who you are". He then went into a diatribe about how his poor employee was the victim that had to shell out money to cover the costs of the records I "underpaid" for. By now I sensed the pattern and got my back up a little. I pointed out how this was NOT my problem since I paid the price that the item was marked. He told me the price tag had been tampered with. I started to get defensive at this point questioning if he was implying I did something to the price tag, which he denied. I also asked if the tag had been tampered with, how did employees #1 and #2 not notice that. And then, as if to try and out do any crazy thing he ever said, he actually had the audacity to say, "You need make it right for that guy and go give him the $80 he lost." I was practically in shock. *I* was supposed to do right by the employee that they put the screws to? I declined his directive and on my way out, I told employee #3, who was a younger kid, that the store could not legally do that to him and he should call a lawyer or the labor board. So let's review what happened here. Someone in the store underpriced an item. He made a mistake, it happens. Item sold before anybody noticed. Store makes employee pay some of the difference. But here is what makes no sense to me. Where did this "tampered price tag" story figure into it? If someone tampered with it, then it surely wasn't employee #3's fault. And also, there is NO WAY they gave the original seller $100 for this, as retail price in perfect shape was maybe $150-$175. They may have given the original seller $30 or $40. And that's being generous. So many questions that make no sense. But lying to and then laying a guilt trip on a customer? Well done TradeLand, well done. read more

I see quite a lot of complaints about low balling here, but contrary to that opinion, I was treated with excellent customer service and very fair grading to determine the pay out price. Just like pawn stars, they have to make profit folks and I've made a solid 100 dollars a couple times here trading in guitars, snowboards, records, and electronic gadgets. I am a happy camper and I highly recommend, the silver coins, gold collection they sell were the highlight for me, same with the sports memorabilia!! A lot of rare gems :) read more

Recently went in and sold some of my 15mm old glory / flames of war British and German North Africa armor. I was given a very fair price and the transaction was quick and easy. What impressed me the most though was both Craig and Jim are really cool guys. Yes they are in business to make a profit, we all are in one way or another but what impressed me was their openness and friendly ways. I went there today to see what they would give me for a high end receiver. The empty parking lot wasn't a good sign. It got worse once i was inside waiting for help. Finally a young man came around and was very rude. He claimed he didn't have the time to look up the value of my receiver, remember the store was empty. I don't think they are going to be in business much longer. I know I'll never go back. Oh, their used tv's are way overpriced. Went in to check out Tradeland. Spent about 30 minutes in the store, mostly near the knife counter since I wanted to look at and probably buy a few knives. WARNING! do not expect fair or honest negotiations when selling items to this store. (Yes, Some employees are better than others) I was been blatantly lied to about an antique brooch I was contemplating selling to this store. I was assured that it was strictly worth gold value and they assured me the stones where old and worthless. Come to find out they where mine cut diamonds and where far from worthless (as well as being underpaid for gold weight due to the employees "wild guess without stones") I understand that they expect to make money off of anything they buy, that's business after all. But to completely lie to someone and hurry through a deal and then to quickly turn around and sell for thousands something they basically stole for $270.. is not a way to run a business. Any reputable business would have encouraged the customer to sell on their own. They clearly knew the value and the employee chose to lie about it. We where told we could buy it back for slightly more then they purchased it for when we confronted them, however they quickly sold it anyway and we could not get it back. They sell junk at high prices. Their website is basic at best, no search agents. Don't try to call and ask if they have something, they are no help. I called to ask about a CD and they wouldn't look, said they have hundreds. When I asked them about why there is no search on their website the said "it would cost me $5 to post a $3 item, and someone would have bought it before I was finished posting the item" I don't think that is true, but who am I? Oh yea, I'm the fn customer! Why don't you try a little customer service and look for the item. They must have items listed alphabetically, right? I was very surprised to see: Extremely beat up and worn power tools that should go for 25 bucks being sold for FULL retail price. A Hitachi impact driver that looks like it was used every day for five years - $69? An old style Dewalt drill - very heavy with NIMH batteries $199? I can get a new one on Amazon for much less. As far as the car audio department - same thing, Why would I spend full retail for used equipment? I would not, but there must be someone that pays them for it. If your going to purchase goods then you have a good chance of finding that diamond in the rough. You have the standard pawn shop items that are overpriced like the guitars and most electronics. With that said they have a great selection of items to choose from. But if you want to trade your items in expect about 1/3 of it's worth. Went in this store to look at cymbals,found a really nice china sabian AAX for $99, saw it is cracked in 3 places, can get it uncracked at guitar center for $80. They sell stuff for retail. They bought a cymbal off me for $40,and they are still selling it for $180. It goes brand new at gc for $100. read more

Ok. Let me start this review by saying I totally agree with the majority of the other Yelpers. MOST of their items are overpriced. MOST of the time you don't find exactly what you're looking for. MOST of the time there's a lot of straight up junk in there. However, as a couple reviews mentioned, there are some serious hidden gems in there and you have to be savvy and patient in order to find them. I bought an excellent condition Nintendo NES ("regular Nintendo") and it works great for $35.00. Old gaming systems and games in great working order are going for much more than original pricing. Perfect example of a hidden gem. I bought a Dewalt drill and impact driver set, $300+ new for $129.00. They work mint and I'm still using them over a year and a half later. I was on my way to Home Depot just 2 weeks ago and I randomly called to ask if they had a ladder in stock... They had the EXACT ladder height I was looking for PLUS it was the upgraded version of it and it was close to half price of ordering a new one. Fiberglass with the hooks. Only needs new $12 rubber pads on the feet. Do not go here expecting to find what you want or need every time. It's a pawn shop, they don't order things in expecting you to buy it. Go here when you're going somewhere else already to buy it and maybe they'll have a smoking deal on what you're looking for. Oh and every employee I've ever dealt with is really nice and extremely helpful. Plus they really know what they have available. I have bought many items and sold a few here as well, all the way back to when they were cash converters in Hudson. Sometimes you have to dig to find the hidden gems, but they often have harder to find or older video games that I am looking for. Don't go in expecting to get top dollar for your electronics, as they have to resell it. They do seem to offer a decent price on selling and they often work out a deal when I want to trade them for something they already have that may cost more than what they were going to give me in cash or store credit. The staff can be a little rough around the edges but they get the job done and I always find myself coming back. My only gripe is that they need a crash course on batteries, most of their rechargeable batteries are either left to die or constantly plugged in (as a display) and both situations will kill rechargeable batteries of any kind. read more
