DO NOT use the 1 to 2 day delivery, although it is free it will cost you in time lost on tracking…read moredown your shipment. It took this inept company 10 days to deliver a simple shipment of flooring boxes. I went to the Automotive section for the ice scraper -- none there. So passing the self-checkout I asked the employee standing there and she pointed me to automotive. When I told her they weren't there she looked it up in her phone and sent me to aisle 45 at the other end of the store. I hunted everywhere in this aisle of cleaning supplies, nearby end caps, but, nothing of the sort. I went to check out. No regular checkouts were open, only self-checkout. The employee did not ask me if I found my ice scraper. When I went to scan the saucers for my small flower pots, they did not have barcodes or any tags. Based on my HD experience thus far, I imagined the hassle and long wait ahead in finding the code or price for these items, and just decided to leave them there un-bought. As I was leaving, the employee did grab the saucers and ask me if I forgot them, so that's a plus!, but I told her they had no bar codes so I couldn't scan them and left. I expected HD to be nicer, more expensive and WAY better than Lowe's and Walmart which I also have access to and carry the items I needed (maybe based on my experience with HD in NJ and Atlanta? I'd never been to this one). I go to the Lowe's a lot and am sorry I ever thought them a step down from HD! At Lowe's, the employees ALWAYS personally help me locate an item when I ask them for directions.

I was near Waynesboro and visited this HF looking for the item that was not on the shelf in the other HF. Staff at Waynesboro seemed to be hustling as they did their work - unpacking boxes and stocking shelves - they were working hard and doing a good job. When I asked for the locations of a couple of items, both employees knew the locations and additional locations of similar items and took me to them - i.e., they knew their inventory very well! I was impressed. When I was looking for more coupon items, I headed for the Waynesboro HF; once again, an employee knew the exact location of the item I was seeking. My overall impression: the Waynesboro Harbor Freight and its employees and manager are doing a great job. Highly recommend!

I try to support local businesses whenever I can, especially when buying equipment I plan to use…read moreregularly. I would much rather buy locally from a dealer, build a relationship, and know that if something goes wrong, the business will stand behind what they sell. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with Rockingham Ace Hardware in Waynesboro. I first bought a 4-stroke trimmer for around $450, and it broke within the first hour of use. They replaced it, but the replacement also broke within an hour the same day. After that, I upgraded to a more expensive 2-stroke trimmer, nearly twice the price, and returned the 4-stroke. Unfortunately, that 2-stroke trimmer broke within one season. I then bought another 2-stroke trimmer from them to use while the first one was being repaired, and that one broke within a month as well. When I brought it in, I was told the issue was fuel-related and was charged $50 for the repair. I explained that I use the same fuel in my other equipment, including two blowers, another string trimmer, and a hedge trimmer, and those machines all run fine. I also asked whether this particular trimmer was unusually sensitive to fuel or possibly defective, but I was told it was a maintenance issue. For someone trying to buy dependable equipment for personal use and support a local store, this has been very disappointing. I was hoping to have a good local place to buy and service equipment, but after multiple failures and being charged for a repair on a nearly new machine, I do not feel they stand behind the products they sell. At this point, I will likely have to buy equipment online instead, which is unfortunate because I would prefer to keep my money local. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Rockingham Ace Hardware in Waynesboro.

This was shouted out as I entered the building and it was also quite embarrassing pretty much calling me a thief as I entered the store. I have shopped at the store for as long as I can remember. Why would I put my purse on a shelf beside the door for anyone to walk by and take. And why should I trust the store employees to leave it behind the counter ? I have tried to keep my business local but I will be going elsewhere now. It was also very embarrassing the way the employee approached me about my purse. It definitely could have been handled better by your employee. Maybe with some tact. !!! If I had been approached differently I would have been happy to take my purse to my car and just bring in my wallet.
