I must say that being judged by the management at the Bolivia store was really something. Our…read moregranddaughter that we are raising had wanted a bearded dragon. We went into PSP to look but they had one but the price was a bit much for us at that time. I got talked into a skenck. My granddaughter after 6 weeks was bored as the lizard absolutely did not like being handled and wasn't really a great match. We brought it back to the store and we're allowed to surrender it. The animal was very well taken care of. We enter through this with a corn snake but had the snake about 5 months. Again Rusty the corn snake wag very well cared for. My granddaughter really realty wanted a bearded dragon which is what I should have just gotten her. All of this my fault, regardless I decided to go in store and discuss surrendering the snake as I know it would be homed to a good home. I had decided to go ahead and get her a BD. I went in store and talked to the manager about the snake and surrendering Rusty. I was told that not only could I not surrender Rusty but could not purchase a bearded dragon either. This conversation was all handled by an employee because the manager I guess has already decided I was not worthy of a face to face because, you know I was wanting to surrender the snake. I get it but had the manager at least came out to talk to me and maybe get a better understanding of the whole deal. l Anyway I wouldn't ever consider setting foot into another PS+ again. I know they could absolutely care less but I really thought highly of the store for the year and a half I've been going in there.

We purchased our tickets online ahead of time since you cannot purchase at the door. The process was pretty easy and when I arrived at the front kiosk window I asked Amy if we could have our tickets printed since the email said so. She was not the most welcoming and curtly told me to hold up my phone to the glass to scan each ticket from the generated PDF. We were then instructed to wear our masks and stay 6 feet apart from other guests. The welcome could have been a bit more courteous since this is the first touch point of the aquarium. The exhibits are clustered by type - freshwater fish, otter (not on display), albino alligator and snakes in the first area, then we saw horseshoe crabs, stingrays, turtles and a touch area where you could reach in and touch the stingray and sea urchins and other animals. The big fish aquarium was cylindrical and all the sharks and big fish swam in circles over two levels. You can get a group photo taken as well and purchase a framed photo for $30 plus on the way out. There is a bald eagle named Maverick from Wisconsin that was injured and cannot fly. The displays are nicely done and dark with a variety of fish. There are signs to show high touch areas. I don't know how much is cleaned or disinfected so bring your own wipes or sanitizer or don't touch the glass. All in all it was a nice visit for the family. I don't know what other aquariums North Carolina offers yet Fort Fisher has a nice variety of fish, turtles, and other sea life.
