Brian seems to be the brains of the company. If you ask him a question he will give you an answer. If he does not know, he will FIND the answer and get back to you. Their service is impeccable. Their live stock is admired by many people. Clean, helpful shop which you do NOT find in the box stores. Their salt water and fresh water is always clean. No dead fish and the tanks when one is near them, does NOT smell.

With literally hundreds of dogs and cats, Little Victories is one of the most amazing, hectic, and sometimes overwhelming nonprofit rescues I've seen. Their mission is clear, their animals loving, and their volunteers impressively devoted. As with any rescue, I would recommend doing thorough background checks on the history of any animal you adopt. While these workers and volunteers are compassionate, they don't always have up-to-date information on their animals (you'll need to contact someone in charge or a local veterinarian to confirm details). The only reason I stress this point is because even the best of animals have certain temperaments and needs - usually based on their history - and thus, it is always wise to have the most information when adopting. If you just want to get involved on the volunteer side of things, Little Victories is a wonderful haven for these animals, all of whom seem to understand their situation and the hope the place provides them. They are fed well, walked frequently, and socialized as best as possible given the strange limitations of using a converted home as a shelter. A visit to the so-called "Cathouse" is a must: to see a whole, one-story bungalow overrun with cats is not a sight easily forgotten.

And they have more expensive breeds for cheap. My chinchilla-coated almost show quality Holland Lop came from here and my broken-white American Fuzzy Lop too. She's not from "good stock" like my Holland but is super friendly and laid back. Also the staff are helpful and pleasant. Advice to the store managers: if you use a different bedding besides pine or just put a layer of yesterday's news (cat litter) in your cages, they will need cleaned much less often and not leave waste stuck to the bottom of your furry friends.

When a fish dies that quickly in an optimal environment, it means the store sold stressed or sick livestock. When I asked for a replacement, they flat-out refused, claiming they have a strict "no warranty" policy. Here is the real problem: they NEVER disclosed this policy to me before I paid. There are no conspicuous signs at the register, and the staff did not mention it. Under West Virginia consumer law (UCC), a merchant cannot just invent a hidden "no warranty" policy after a sale goes wrong to dodge responsibility for selling defective goods. If you are a tank hobbyist who values their money, time, and the health of their aquarium, avoid this place. They do not stand behind the health of their fish, and they do not practice fair, transparent customer service. I have filed a formal complaint with the West Virginia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.

He went because 2 days prior to going he heard his ex's dog got picked up and he heard from his ex's daughter. The woman treated him like he was a piece of trash. Or like he had let the pound pick up the dog. She seemed as if she wanted the dog left just so she could put the dog down. The poor girl whose mother got the dog picked up was crying her eyes out trying to save this poor animal. Just truly sad.
