I had heard great things about Collier's Greenhouse and was really excited to visit, so I invited a…read morefriend and we made the hour drive to Jackson. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Not a single employee we encountered was pleasant. I'm someone who makes a point to be friendly and speak to people, but the staff seemed completely disengaged and, honestly, unhappy to be there. We were never greeted, never asked if we needed help, and after spending several hundred dollars, we weren't even thanked for our business. Customer service matters, and this was some of the poorest I've experienced anywhere. A simple "hello," "can I help you," or "thank you" goes a long way--especially in what I understand is a long-standing, family-owned business. I've already had someone ask me where to buy a tree, and I couldn't recommend this place. I would rather shop at places like The Home Depot, Pike Nurseries, or even a local farmers market where customer service is a priority. Sadly, I won't be returning.
