The staff here at TSC do a great job of making their "big box store" feel small. Good helpful folks, great products, fair prices.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would…read more I ordered a bouquet online for my boyfriend's grandmother who passed away. It was important to me that although I couldn't be there for her funeral, the family know my thoughts and well-wishes were with them on that day. I spent hours pouring over websites of various local florists in the area. I found a bouquet I particularly loved, and then spent a lengthy amount of time deciding what message I should have inscribed on the card. After figuring all this out, I completed my order and submitted my credit card. I made specific note of the date/time of the funeral to make sure my arrangement arrived in time for the viewing. I immediately received a confirmation email from Peggy's with all of my information, an order number, and a receipt for the purchase. The day of the funeral I spoke with my boyfriend and the flowers had not arrived. I was heartbroken. I called the company directly via the number provided on my email confirmation and explained my situation. They were short with me and unapologetic. They told me that my order was never received because their website gets "shut down" on the weekends. They instructed me to call FTD, their affiliate teleflorist (I guess.) I asked for the number. The woman told me I would have to look it up myself online. Again, I tried explaining to her that my confirmation email is from HER flower shop, not FTD, as well as all of the contact info. She again refused to assist me. I finally called FTD, who told me that unless I placed my order through THEIR website, it was not their mistake. They have no control over local orders placed with the florist (which I already assumed was the case.) The FTD rep suggested I dispute the charges with my credit card if I was unable to get assistance from the florist. I called Peggy's back, and told the woman what FTD had instructed me. She was again impolite and said she would look into it and call me back. Hours later, I still haven't received the call. It's not about the money. I don't even care if my card gets credited back. That's not what I want. I want an apology. I want a re-do. I want to go back in time and use a RELIABLE florist who has a system in place where they can receive the orders they have set their webpage up to accept. I had no reason to question whether these flowers would be delivered to Nana's funeral, based on the confirmation I received. How dare you issue a CONFIRMATION email and then claim at a later date that you have no record of the transaction? The funeral is long since over, and it's too late to rectify the situation. I can't believe they can get away with running a business this way.

I call my mom about 3pm because she had not called me yet. She hadn't gotten them. I called Peggy's and they had not even left the store. I was so upset. I asked when they were going make it to my mother. The women told me that it was going to be after 5pm. I told her that my moms office closes at 5. She told me I could come get them and deliver them myself. Never use Peggy's it is the worst service and flowers I have ever seen!!!!

The "from the business" information here pretty much sums Harrison Brothers Hardware up: "Today, we…read moreare more of a gift shop and art gallery that features local artwork and handmade merchandise." We visited yesterday on a rare day off and because I haven't been to HBH in decades. I thought I would come across something I didn't know I needed, which didn't happen. I liked their t-shirts, and stoneware/pottery. My sister likes the socks they carry. They also have locally written books in a tightly curated display. A small selection of locally made jewelry items, cutting boards, and other artwork. The staff were friendly and helpful, and, as others noted, there is no public restroom. They are not 100% volunteer staffed anymore, at least one person is on the payroll. The safe in the back is cool to see and they do have several displays of antique items on the floor as well as the area near the ceiling.

Originally built in 1879, this is the oldest hardware store in Huntsville! It ceased operations…read moredecades ago, but a non-profit took over to preserve and maintain the building. It's basically now a gift and craft shop selling souvenirs, local food/snacks, and local artisan crafts. The staff is super nice, and when we said it was our first time visiting they told us all about the history of the building. Most of the furnishings inside are original including the floors, shelving, cash register and an elevator shaft! This place was so cool and is definitely a must visit in downtown Huntsville! Just be aware they don't have any public restrooms. I had to walk around back to Constitution Park to find a restroom
