I know I can always find a quality gift item for my garden-loving friends, a unique perennial for that odd spot in the yard, or a funky planter to make the perfect table setting. My most recent garden problem was finding a nicely shredded mulch that didn't leave behind big chunks at the end of each growing season. Lavocat's to the rescue! They have a wonderful hardwood fine-shredded mulch that's just perfect. If you're like me, and have a smaller garden - bagged mulch is what we need - whole truck loads just don't work. What I received was no where near what I was promised. The soil I received was more "fill soil" if anything( hard, compact large chunks and never seen a sifter). I barely used 5 shovels worth of this junk when I came across large pieces of glass , metal wire, garbage, tons and tons of stone and sticks. I called right away as they say to within 7 days to resolve the issue. I had to call back for the last 3 days to wait for the owner to get in . Finally the receptionist called me back , not him , not a manager stating they will do noting more but give me 10% off a future order. I didn't want a refund of my money, I didn't ask for a discount. All I wanted was them to pick up this garbage so called "Premium top soil" and replace it with fine sifted permium top soil. I'm not going to lay this dirt on my yard where kids and dogs play in fear that glass , metal , rubber and god knows what else is in there. That is horrible customer service , you sell 4 products and can't even honor your product and to not even reach out yourself shows how much you care for your company and customers.I would shop elsewhere. It's a great place if you're aware of this and tight on cash or can't commit to an investment in tools or larger items. They ALWAYS offer coupons and FREE items with purchases in store and online. Their rewards program is kind of silly since they offer almost all of the same coupons in store and online and my husbands phone number never seems to work when they enter it.
