I was told to go there for straw, and they had it. 10 bucks a pop for a LARGE bale. Not cheap, not super expensive, it was a sweet spot and they ain't getting rich selling straw. So it was 5 mins from me at the time, got there, Debbie (if I recall correctly) helped me out, and I left with EXACTLY what I wanted, no issues. They are a landmark, time tested, and committed to answering questions, helping folks, and this customer was very satisfied.

Deb Strader didn't hesitate to make sure that I was happy by replacing the product, which she had the QA manager check first, and kept in contact with me through email until I received my package a couple of days later. I would rather support a store like this, as opposed to the big box stores, because it is smaller…read moreand I thought I would get more personalized attention. The employee who helped me purchase paint on a weekend, while very friendly and pleasant, was not as knowledgeable as I would have expected. On a separate visit, I had an interaction with another employee, who - while pleasant - interacted with me, a female customer, completely differently than he did with the male customer he helped directly after me, which is off-putting, to say the least. Additionally, I think some of their merchandise has been on the shelf for awhile, and the quality has been compromised by the time the customer purchases and uses it (this happened to me with a tube of nail hole filler, which was dried out and came out the wrong end when I opened it for the first time). The employee who works the cash register on weekends may need some additional training - she made a mistake with our order, which she had no idea how to fix. It had to be rerung and took a long time to resolve. Overall, I will probably go back for future needs due to the convenience and small nature of the store, but with the expectation that it could be a hit-or-miss experience.
