If you take nothing else from this review, please trust your instincts. I regret that I didn't, and feel very lucky that our pup was unharmed. If you want more details, read on: We were visiting Moab for a long weekend in May 2021 and needed a daycare so we could do some hiking and canyoneering. I made 2 daycare reservations for our 11-year-old pup. I should have listened to my instincts when we arrived. The actual facility looks nothing like the online photos. Even though Tracey has a designated drop-off and pick-up hour, she was absent during drop-off until I finally called to make sure we had the right address. She was out walking a dog, which should have been my next 'alarm bell' that something wasn't quite right. Why would a dog need walked, if they're in an open play area all day? And if she's out walking dogs, who is supervising the daycare? At pick-up time, we arrived to find about 8 people that had been waiting for 30+ minutes, and Tracey was again absent. All the dogs are barking inside the barn, the office door was closed & lights off, and the barn door was cracked for airflow. When she finally arrived ~ 40 minutes into the pick-up hour, she was irritated that the parents were upset about her tardiness. She literally opened the door and started releasing dogs without leashes. Meanwhile, the dog parents are trying to catch the dogs, corral them away from cars, etc. Our pup was terrified as random people were trying to catch her to get a leash on her. Tracey was completely unfazed by the chaos as the dogs ran loose in the parking lot. Overall, I suspect that the dogs are kept in cages all day in the horse barn, and Tracey generally is not present all day. We obviously did not return for the next day's daycare reservation. I was willing to forgo a $500 private canyoneering/rappelling excursion, rather than trust Tracey with our pup for another day. Our canyoneering guide came through with a last-minute reservation at another daycare in Moab that was GREAT. read more

Thank goodness for Tracey's Bed and Biscuit! We had one day in Arches National Park where dogs are not allowed on trails. Another kennel in town was full. And Tracey had just opened her kennel within the month (March 2017.) Yes, it was a last resort for us, but also the best option! We especially appreciated Tracey's kindness and gentleness with us and our canine daughter, Bree. She was shaking when she went in, unsure of her first RV trip and being left in a foreign place. But after being held by Tracey, Bree became more calm, making it easier for us to leave with our minds at ease. There were other small to medium dogs there that day and they all played wonderfully together. I'm sure it's a testament to Tracey's knowledge and love for dogs. Getting there can be just a little tricky, so just be aware... It's about 5-8 minutes south of downtown Moab, between mile markers 118 and 119. Enter at the "Moab Business Park" sign on the east side of the highway where there are white tin, rounded, warehouse-like facilities. Veer to the left and there it is on the right. Now go and enjoy the beauty around Moab as your furry friends enjoys a good play date (or sleep over.) Ours did, and slept well that night in our RV home away from home. read more

She was responsive and responsible. Understood our anxiety about leaving Maddie with a stranger and quickly answered our check in texts. The dogs get to play with others their size in a rustic environment. Maddie came home happy and tired. And you know what they say. A tired dog is a good dog. Hey! This place sucks! Here's why! Me and my girlfriend booked our dogs for a day at doggy day care with Tracey back in September. After originally booking over the phone, she said she would confirm everything including price, directions, and contact information via text. The text never came. Eventually found the place, dropped the dogs off and proceeded with our day. Upon picking up the dogs, the young lady who was working said they both had great days and that there were no issues at all. We were also informed that we could only pay in cash (which was apparently supposed to be conveyed in the text message we never received). We rectified the situation by visiting the nearest ATM and then hit the road. Later that night as I was petting my dog, I noticed something around her neck. It turned out to be a Petsafe brand remote shock collar. I did a search of the model I discovered and saw that it was a training collar, not a wireless fence collar (which the company also makes). WTF TRACEY, NOT COOL. At no point did Tracey ever ASK whether or not a shock collar was OK to use on my dog or say to me or my girlfriend that she did this to the dogs that she boards. I do use a shock collar on my dog for training purposes related to barking, but this is only under my supervision and my handling. Shock collars are often not used correctly and are not meant as punishment; rather for behavioral conditioning. I have no idea what the hell they were doing to my dog there and 1) will never go back (sorry Tracey, I tossed your collar in the trash) 2) tell everyone I know who is traveling to/through Moab with their dog not to bother and 3) share this review on all the pertinent review sites so that other folks don't experience this BS. read more

Tracey's bed and biscuit kennel is by far the most pristine kennel. We have a burner doodle and a golden doodle and a Shih Tzu who stayed with her overnight. They received the best care! I was in Moab last weekend and made a reservation on the Wednesday prior to travel for my Golden to spend Sunday at Tracey's Bed and Biscuit. After a day of hiking on Saturday, Tracey texted (not called) me at 5:33pm to let me know that my dog was the only reservation and she would hate for my dog to be alone. I responded to let her know that I had already made a reservation for rzr rentals the next morning and, while I didn't want her to be alone either, I was going to be financially on the hook for the rzr rental if I were to cancel. I also let her know that my friend's dog could also come, so it would a) be more worthwhile for her and b) so my dog wouldn't be alone. Tracey's response to my texts explaining my situation was simply "The Bed and Biscuit will be closed tomorrow...I will be open 8:00am Monday the 1st." In my opinion, this was extremely unprofessional. Tracey should have called me on Saturday morning so that I could have attempted to cancel my rzr reservation or see if the other doggy day care in town had any cancellations. However, given that she waited until after business hours to inform me of this issue and refused to be flexible, I had no option to attempt to communicate with the other businesses. My dog is three years old, I have had experience with many doggy day cares and pet services and have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism, especially from a new business. If you're making a reservation with Tracey, just be warned that she could potentially cancel on you last minute. read more

I generally don't leave negative reviews, but I am so upset with my experience, or rather lack of it, that I think it's necessary to write this for others to beware. I prearranged doggie daycare with Tracey months ago so my family could visit Arches for the day (dogs are not allowed on trails in park). The communication part via email was good and I also had a nice conversation with Tracey on the phone. Once I confirmed a date, Tracey sent a text saying that drop off was btw 8-9AM - no exceptions. The place is located just south of town and was easy to find. I showed up at 8:30, but when I arrived there was a note on the door that dogs were being walked and they would be back shortly. This struck me as odd as why would you be walking dogs when drop off is a firm 8-9am. The door to the facility was open, but it was dark inside and seemed abandoned. Although there was music blaring from a speaker outside. I waited 10 minutes before I text Tracey, but did not hear back. I waited another 5, texted again, and then again 5 minutes after that, now getting anxious as my family had to be off for Arches by 9:30. I then tried calling but got a voicemail with a message that the box was full. After 30 minutes and no response, and no indication anyone was coming, I decided to leave. This totally ruined my family's plans for the day and our ability to do any hiking in Arches. I recommend you avoid this business and seek a trustworthy dog sitter on Rover.com instead. Planned a trip to hike Arches and decided to kennel our dog for the day since dogs are not allowed on the trail. Spoke to Tracy a few days prior to our arrival. Got our dog up to date with shots and was ready to drop him off on a Sunday morning. I texted Tracy the night before to confirm however I did not get a response. I showed up at 08:15 at the Spanish Trails location listed on their website and no signs of the business were posted. I called Tracy on her cell and left yet another message with no response. Very frustrating to say the least. At a minimum, it would be nice to get an explanation why no call back. I decided to call this facility first however don't let the ratings fool you. read more

Tracey seemed friendly when we spoke with her over the phone and when we dropped our dogs off she seemed to really love dogs. However, when we picked up our dogs we arrived there at 8:05am 5 minutes past opening we had to wait a while for anyone to show up. Once she finally got there we found the dogs in their kennel with at least 3 large piles of poop that had obviously been there a while and Tracey knew about them because she told us she would get us a bag for the dogs bedding because of the accidents the dogs had. Our dogs never have accidents when we leave them for work. The dogs, also, had not been feed yet that morning even though the kennel was supposed to be open at 8am for pick ups. read more

We boarded our dogs while we camped in Canyonlands and hiked around Arches. Tracey was able to accommodate us on short notice (lucky us). She was super congenial and her farm was the perfect place for our two BCs. They came back tired and happy, which is the best case scenario as we were on a long road trip. The location was convenient to Moab--just on the outskirts of town, same as other kennels. Most importantly, we felt the dogs were well cared for! For dog owners, I would highly recommend Tracey's Bed and Biscuit. read more

I arrived at 0745 on June 27th and was asked to leave until they open(sternly). So I left and returned at 0805 and the lady was finishing up walking 2 dogs. She kept asking me questions if I had a reservation (which I did). She then told me to fill out some paperwork and give it to some guy that was supposed to be inside the building. He wasn't so I waited outside after filling out the paperwork and waited for her to return. As she approached, she was visibly agitated, asked me why I was outside and I said nobody was inside. She walked up to me with her 2 dogs she was walking and said "just give me your dog" and she grabbed my dogs leash and he started jerking around and scared because she had two strange dogs with her and he didn't know her at all. I was so upset about the way she dragged him into the kennel (the pictures online show dogs out die playing which is not true. They put the dogs in a kennel inside horse stalls inside the barn with blaring loud music ((I would later realize that was just to make it so dogs barking is muffled because I thought someone would be watching the dogs all day....which they are not). I called my wife and explained to her what I saw and she said to go hike that she was probably having a bad morning and is taking care of outperform dog... so I went to Arches and hiked but cut it off around 1pm because it bothered me that bad and I wanted to get my dog back. So, I arrived at the kennel and nobody was around. After 15 minutes, a lady in the neighboring house arrive she saw me and called the lady who I dealt with in the morning. No smiles from her, just a snap that you can't get your dog until 3pm ( she looked like she had just woke up). I showed her the text I received and it had nothing about 3 pm. FedEx or ups left boxes on her patio from a delivery earlier that day so she began to tend to them then went inside and got my dog. My dog came barreling out of the door with a scared look on his face and jumped up on me. I handed her the money and left. I immediately went back to the hotel and he went to the water dish and began lapping like crazy...I watched him and he wouldn't stop so I got my phone and started recording hi. He didn't lift his head from drinking for over a minute which begs the question did he have access to water all day? I am beyond disgusted with this company...they have no business caring for any animals! I want to upload the video of my dog but can't on this site so please pm me and I will send it....it's disheartening t say the least! read more

We were in the Moab area just for the day, traveling cross country, and wanted to stop so the family could see Arches. But we were traveling with our dog and no dogs in the park. We contacted Tracey and she was absolutely lovely. Easy to book over the phone, emailed vet records for immunizations, etc. Her hours were very convenient for a day at the park, especially with shorter daylight hours in November. Our dog was well cared for, enjoyed the fresh air and horses and the day went great for us. We would definitely use Tracey again if we were in the area and recommend her for others in the area wanting a good place to care for your four-legged furry family member! read more

Very strange experience. We intended to drop our dog off for two separate consecutive days, picking her up at night, while we hiked in Arches. We were told that pickup was between 5-6 with no exceptions. When we arrived at the end of the first day at 5:15, Tracey was nowhere to be found. We texted. We called. No response. We could hear our dog and other dogs whining behind the closed door. There was talk radio on, as it has been when we dropped our dog off that morning. After about 30 minutes waiting, we went in and just took our dog. We obviously didn't bring her the next day. We still haven't received a call or text back explaining where Tracey was or for how long the dogs were left unattended. It's possible Tracey thought we intended to leave our dog overnight, but still there was no mention at drop off that she would be gone for an extended period. We're still not sure what the deal was or where Tracey went, but we certainly advise thinking twice before leaving your dog there. read more

Contacted Tracy about getting our pup Rotor in for a day while our family visited Arches National Park. Since no dogs are allowed on the trails and we were traveling in an RV this made things tricky for us. Making a reservation was super easy. Tracy's property is beautiful and Rotor didn't want to leave when it came time for pick up. Highly recommend!! read more

Tracey is WONDERFUL. We wanted to go for a hike in Arches, but our dog Lucy couldn't come with us. Tracey took Lucy for all day play ($30!) and boy did Lucy have a wonderful time. Tracey is the real deal, and welcomed Lucy immediately putting her at ease. You can tell that she plays with the dogs herself and Lucy was super smiley and tired when we picked her up. I had to find doggie daycare for our Lhasa during a trip to Moab since pets are not allowed on trails at Arches. Tracey's Bed and Biscuit came through with flying colors! Tracey was responsive, friendly and her place was perfect for Lewis. He loves playing with big dogs, and he got plenty of exercise during his stay. Tracey charged $30 for the day and logistics were straightforward (drop-off between 8 and 9am, pick-up between 4 and 6:30pm). Lewis was VERY happy when we picked him up! I recommend this kennel and would use it again. One note regarding payment...I'm not sure if this will be the case down the line, but at this time they accept cash or check. Thanks, Tracey! I highly recommend Traceys Bed and Biscuit Kennel. In the past I have had friends and neighbors look after my K.C. if I was going to be gone for a day or two and it has always worked out, but then I realized there may be a time when I would need someone I could trust to look after my K.C. because my friends might have other plans. So I decided to take K.C. to Traceys for a day visit to see how it went for him. I was at home and available in case it did not work out. I went to pick him up and his eyes were happy and his tail was wagging. So I said this works. a few weeks later I needed to be gone over night, I booked him in at Traceys, came back the next night once again, he looked and acted very happy. So then I started to take him every other week for a day activity. And he loves it. I had elective surgery, and he was with her for 5 days. I was at home recuperating and she knew she could call me if there were any concerns. I truly believe she cares about each of the animals who stay there. She gives them the best that she can. Yes my dog is in a kennel some of the time, yes he gets to play with the little dogs, yes she takes them for walks and she listened to me when I told her, I have an unusual dog, who may be playing and forgets to drink water and has an unusual habit of not eating until he has been given permission. Now he gets to go every other week just to hang out with other dogs and he is happy every single time he comes home and yes he drinks water immeditately when he gets home, but that is just part of who he is thank you Tracey for creating a safe place for my K.C. read more

We used Tracey's for 1/2 day this morning while we were in Moab visiting Arches National Park. We dropped our Portuguese Water Dog Zoey off at 8AM when Tracey's opened, and I let Tracey know that our plan was to pick her up no later than 1PM, so we could be back on the road to Colorado. I made the point that we planned to stop in Moab for lunch before we picked Zoey up, so we didn't have to worry about what to do with Zoey in the heat while we were eating. Tracey commented about that being a good idea and asked me to call her when we were on our way back to the kennel. She handed me her business card, to make sure we called in advance, so she could have Zoey ready for pickup. We were running a little late from lunch, and I tried to call at 1:10PM, but Tracey's cell number would not allow me to leave a voice message. We went directly to the kennels from town, arriving at 1:19PM. Doors were locked, and no one was there other than all the dogs inside (including our dog Zoey). I called Tracey's cell number again, this time able to leave a voice message. After waiting 10 minutes, we drove the ~6 miles back to Moab to fill up the car with gas. At this point I had left multiple voice messages, sent multiple text messages and sent an email with no response from Tracey. After we returned to the kennel and were sitting in the kennel parking lot, I called The Barkery (really nice pet supply store in Moab) to find out if coincidentally they had any way to contact Tracey (they didn't). I also called the Moab Police, who notified me that the kennels were just far enough south of town that they were in the San Juan Sheriff's district. I was on the phone with the San Juan dispatch, explaining our story for what was now the 5th time, when Tracey called me back (at 2:06PM). She had just finished her Pilates class (held from 1-2PM). I asked why she didn't let me know that she would be gone during that time, when I had indicated our plans were to pick up Zoey by 1PM. She claims she had no idea when I planned to pick up Zoey. A sign on the door reading "I am running errands from 12:45 - 2:20PM" might also have been useful. At 2:20PM, Tracey pulled up, while she was talking on her phone. No acknowledgement that we were there or apologies. Tracey unlocked the front door and let Zoey out of the kennel. We retrieved Zoey's bed, lovey and leash. When I asked Tracey how much I owed her, she said nothing. I was very clear that we were happy to pay since it appeared that Zoey was in a safe environment and out of the 98 degree Moab heat. Tracey made a point of saying that all the dogs were safe while she was gone, and I agree that was the case, but she would not let us pay. Bottom line is that Tracey's seems like a very clean place, and Tracey genuinely seems to care about the dogs. The downside is that the opening times seem to be flexible, depending on what Tracey might have going on that day. There are oddly enough (considering that many of the parks are not pet friendly) not many options for doggy day care in Moab, and I would consider Tracey's the best of what I have seen available, but don't count on the 8AM-8PM Opening Hours that are posted. I think Tracey can make a go of things with her new business, but she is going to have to either indicate a set closing time over lunch or get some help to make sure that someone is at the kennels during the posted opening hours, especially when a customer indicates they plan on picking up their dog during a time she plans to be away. We stopped at The Barkery on our way out of town. I wanted to let them know that we had in fact retrieved Zoey (80 minutes delayed), and that Tracey's genuinely seems like a good option as long as your pick up time is flexible. I also got some goodies for Zoey :-). Great store, by the way! I hope our story helps someone else not be stressed if Tracey decides to lock the kennel and not be reachable during her posted opening hours. She'll be back ... eventually. read more

We used Tracey's B&B for two days of doggie day care while we were in Moab exploring the NP's. Our little guy was super excited from the get go just cause he is super friendly and loves to meet other people and dogs. When we picked him up the first day we could see him playing around with other dogs and he went home a tired boy. The second day must have worn him out as well cause he slept all the way home. Tracey mentioned that he had gone on walks and played around with other dogs that were there as well. I'm glad that we were able to find a place that didn't just keep him in a kennel or dog run all day. read more

To start off the lady that runs this place likes to argue about everything single thing. Went to drop the dogs off in the morning, we got there after 7:30 and when we made the appointment it was understood that we would be dropping them off before 8am. Got there and was immediately greeted in a rude manner, probably not the best way to make an impression for your business. She instantly argued that we were "early" when she communicated to us that we could drop them off early. After that she proceeded to argue with us how old the dogs were. When asked while booking we informed her the dogs were 12 weeks old, she argued that they were 2 months when filling out paper work while we were dropping them off. Simple math and the fact that we had papers on the dogs can tell you that they were in fact 3 months old. We had all up to date shot records and then she said that the dogs will probably get sick since they were that young and didn't have a 3rd round of shots. Again, probably not the best things to tell a customer when they're leaving their dogs in your hands to take care of. Also when we booked the boarding she told us that there were other puppies the dogs could play with but when dropping them off she said they'll stay in a crate by themselves for the day. I'll never recommend to anyone or bring my dogs back to this place due to her poor attitude and lack of ability to follow through and remember when she communicates. read more

I have no idea how this place has a four star rating. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE. I called Tracey's the day before asking about drop off times because we had a rafting trip booked and had to be there at 8:15. She stated that they opened at 8 but I could be there a few minutes early so that we could make our trip. When we arrived at 7:50 we were unsure if we were at the right location because it is a dirt road without any type of signage and does NOT look like a dog daycare/kennel. The only signs were for a rundown looking horse barn. So I called to find out if we were in the right location. Tracey answered and was extremely rude on the phone. When she did show up at 8:05 she treated my husband and I with the most disrespect I have ever encountered. I would never have left my dog with someone so mean. Also, the facility was rundown and seemed sketchy all around. Beware of this facility and find other arrangements for your fur babies! read more

She went out of her way to meet us and accept Harold our little Labordoddle to stay at the kennel for a few hours while we went mountain biking. Harold was stoked when we arrived because he had been playing with Tracey and the other doggies since we'd been gone! My two dogs, Harley and Charlie, had an overnight stay while I traveled out of town at Tracey's B&B they loved it. Tracey is amazing and provides excellent care to the pets. We sent our two "high needs" pups to hang out with Tracey for two daycare days during a recent trip to Moab. We wanted to get in some hiking in the National Parks where dogs aren't allowed on the trails. She was super sweet with our dogs and listened to all my nervous dog mom concerns. Given that they both have health issues and had never been to daycare/boarded before, I couldn't have asked for things to go better. They were both so exhausted from playing that they pretty much passed out at the hotel and behaved really well while we were there (which is hard in a dog friendly hotel with so many sounds and smells and dogs and people walking past constantly). For me, the smaller, local business feeling really put me at ease when leaving my "babies" with someone I didn't know for the first time. Sounds like she gets busy as the tourist season gets underway, but we were able to get a reservation with just a couple days notice. If we ever do another trip down I'll be sure to book our boys their own vacation at Tracey's... seeing as our Golden didn't even want to leave when I came to pick him up I think he'd be a happy return customer. read more
