I would say this quaint little Italian joint was very good but mainly because it was literally the closest restaurant we could walk to from our hotel before everything in town closed after a long day out. The missus and the kid ate here twice just due to the ease after a long day of dragonboat racing in Brandenberg that went from morning to night. We had the pasta with beef medallions in a mushroom cream cognac sauce. It was good in a stroganoff kind of way. The spaghetti bolognese was decent, too, if not anything amazing. Still, staff was friendly and the food was good enough. If you're stuck at that Sheraton hotel around the corner, you can do a lot worse in the nearby area. read more

Definitely a good restaurant to dine in or order out (we did both). Nice ambiance to dine in & friendly staff...and of course, the food is really good. We as a large group (7 people) on second time and 3 person on the first time...a walking distance from Sheraton Esplanade hotel. The third time, we ordered out since it was raining & we didn't feel like going out in the rain. Food was marginal at best. Pasta, we both had, had no flavor and virtually no meat as described by the menu. Service iffy and not present. No parmesan cheese on the dish and had to ask three times to have it brought. By that point the pasta was getting cold! Attitudes from the wait staff. Certainly wouldn't recommend this for Italian!!! Our last night in Berlin, so we decided to to make it special by having dinner at Tra Di Noi. First off, the server was a bit too be desired. I understand that we are in a foreign country, but, but not being able to communicate with a customer should be a must, or at least the basics. We even tried to communicate what we desired, I didn't get my spaghetti, which I was happy about. Which brings to mind the food. I'm not saying my partners spaghetti was bad, but Olive Garden is 10 times better. My minestrone soup. Tasted like the veggies we straight out of a bag, added to some broth. Also, no noodles. This was such a refreshing place to come to...felt a little food challenged in Berlin...so it was nice to find an Italian restaurant relatively close to the hotel that had good food. I had the pasta dish with sage and butter and it was good...I was so happy! My colleague and I were both happy. We sat outside. The service was great. They brought out warm bread and we had a bottle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table so we made our own dipping sauce with some cracked black pepper. It was so good to be at a place where they brought bread like that. I'm used to it in the USA. I ordered the shrimp scampi linguine in light garlic tomato sauce and it was excellent. My wife ordered the gnocchi with mozzarella in a light tomato sauce. She and I both thought it was excellent. Our friends ordered a salami pizza and a spicy salami pizza with arugula. The pizzas were large. They probably could have split a pizza. They liked the pizzas but the spiciness of one was little too spicy. My wife ordered strawberry ice cream for dessert and it was good. Just got into Berlin and was very tired. Asked the front desk at our hotel for someplace good within walking distance. One of two reccos they gave me was Tra Di Noi. We selected this because it was the closest. We were not disappointed! Food was outstanding, wine list diverse and reasonably priced, and the service was top shelf. Our server made a great effort to answer our questions which made the German/English menu easy to navigate. Avoid this place. The waiter insisted he wouldn't give me tap water when I asked even though we were ordering full meals then showed up with it. He also misgendered my girlfriend, a whole issue to itself. And lastly insisted that his credit card machine could only be charged in multiples of ten rounded up to try to scam us into tipping him something he did not deserve whatsoever. This was our last choice because the other neighborhood Italian restaurants were full for the evening. I would've been so much happier spending my money on take out. Incredibly disappointing. Stayed near the Tiergarten and was looking for a local restaurant so we did not need to travel far. We walked in and was seated promptly. Other tables filled quickly after during the week. Pasta was excellent along with the service. We almost went back the following night because the food was so good but we decided to try something different since we were only in Berlin for a few days. Came over here because It was close to my hotel and there wasn't much open this late at night. Very glad I stumbled in here. Fantastic meal with a friendly staff. No clue what I got for dessert I just let them pick but it was amazing! Some friends and I were spending a lazy Sunday afternoon in Tiergarten and one of us was craving some Italian food. Our search guided us to this place tucked away in a calm corner behind Lutzowplatz. We were greeted and seated by the waiter, who came a few moments later to take our orders. We ordered a Pizza and two Pastas and it wasn't long before we received our orders, which was cooked to perfection. The ambience was very nice, the food was great, and the service was excellent. Prices maybe a little up for Berlin but it's totally worth it. read more

Tra Di Noi is just around the corner from the Sheraton. I ate here three times during my visit to Berlin and each time the food and service were outstanding! Since it was July, I was able to sit outside and enjoy a nice glass of wine and pizza or pasta. I was there around 7 or 8 pm each visit, and while it was busy, it was easy to find a table. read more

The food, service and atmosphere were outstanding. The minestrone and cream of tomato soups were large portions and very good. I had black pasta with scallops, shrimp and salmon and my wife had steak tips and mushrooms in a cognac cream sauce. Both dishes were outstanding. We hope that when we get to Italy our pasta is this good. Our waiters were very good and the complimentary grappa really capped the meal off. read more

We just wanted a place close by our Hotel and we found this incredible Italian place. All the locals were here. The amount of food they gave us was enough for three people, the price was very reasonable. We sat outside and enjoyed people watching. This place deserves 5 stars. read more

The food, wine, location and setting was great. The service, however, was not. What would it take to have your waiter come by the table to see if you'd like anything more, or even make eye contact once in a while? It was like he couldn't be bothered. I had to flag him down to order more wine, and then when we wanted dessert, he had disappeared. We gave up and skipped dessert. Also, when I asked if a pasta dish was hot or cold (it had pears, walnuts and cranberries in it, so I assumed it would be cold), he said cold, but it was hot! This was not a language problem, because he knew English, but he should have known the menu. read more

Just returned from Tra Di Noi with biking friends from Usa. We are staying at Sheraton and walked easily to dinner. We had two delicious cold antipasti, buffalo mozzarella and tomato and beef caprese with mushrooms to share before dinner. Each of us had different main course, all very happy with choices Pasta with truffles wonderful, pumpkin ravioli, salmon with broccoli, veal dish. All of us were very satisfied. Quick walk from hotel Berlin or the Sheraton. Lively yet cozy. Place gets really busy for dinner but tables available. Staff is on the ball and always in motion. Sat outside.
