I still have fond memories of renting a car with my friends (is ZipCar still even a thing?) and spending the day at the TTC. Naturally, all malls have suffered to some degree in recent years with online shopping getting more and more prevalent. Towson Town Center remains reasonably active though, and there are quite a few streets nearby with active businesses as well.

This mall tends to have some on going issues with safety. The parking has improved some with a…read moresystem that alerts where parking spots are available. Depending on the day, time, weekend/week day and if its a holiday would determine the type of crowd of shopping. When I went it was just before Christmas, therefore, parking was hectic and the mall was busy. I was able to make my shopping experience smooth by parking on the top level and going to the stores necessary then leaving out. The mall was decorated and in sync with the holiday spirit.

Decorated for the holidays, visiting at nighttime or during the evening is a pretty neat and eye-caching experience, even if it's to window shop. Has an organic whole foods type of supermarket, Starbucks store, barbershop, restaurants and other typical stores. Mostly expensive stores though (that's why I would only go again for window shopping), bit it's a nice shopping center to visit when nearby.

I used to visit Cross Keys for Williams Sonoma, but now Cross Keys has so much more: Always Ice Cream, Cece's of Roland Park (which has a great outdoor bar/dining area), Easy Like Sunday, Kneads Bakery, Luna Oaxaca, and more. And more shops and restaurants are opening all the time (a Framebridge shop is coming soon and Pilates House and Nine Tailed Fox, a new concept by Atlas, will be opening soon). I like some of these spots more than others, but the great thing about Cross Keys is that it has so many options. And...tons of parking! It's been fancied up and it has a lot to offer. Visit, wander around, check out some of the shops, and get a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants at the shopping center.
