First opened it's doors in 1904, this means it is 115 yrs old this year. The longest running, operating theater in West Virginia. This 800 seat Victorian Masterpiece is Registered a Historic Landmark In 1934, it became home to the Jamboree which is the 2nd longest running show in the USA. There is usually missing ceiling or heavily water-stained tiles. Some of the screens have wrinkles. The men's restroom is a disgusting mess. There are 2 urinals, and at least one is always broken or missing. There are 3 toilets and there is at least one that's out of commission every visit to this theatre. We have been this theatre twice this month and they still have no ice for the drinks. Nothing ever gets fixed at this theatre. There are usually 4 to 5 people working behind the counter but still only one line open to sell tickets and concessions. I cost me $31.00 for 2 matinee tickets and concessions way more than a streaming service for a month. I enjoy going to the movie theatre once in a while but at these prices and the overall experience at this theatre are not worth it.

(not that I discriminate against corn fields or anything).... and it smelled like I was WAAAAAY OUT in the country next to a corn field and barn. Anyway... This was a smaller drive in with 2 screens. This one has nice grass and one concession stand with stinky bathrooms. There weren't a lot of people there when I was there. I tried some of their food ( fries, fried mushrooms, corn dog, cheeseburger) but only liked the corn dog. I guess if your in the area with nothing to do its ok.

Well this time…read morewas a little different it is an odd thing that happened and probably doesn't happen all the time if ever but there was only 4 employees which none looked more than 16 or 17 years old and I don't blame them it is the manager problem and should have a lead person that is more experienced working with them. So we were in the film about 15 minutes and there was a thunderstorm that knocked out the electricity and then it came right back on but the fire alarm came on thought out the whole place and first we all waited about 15 minutes before an employee came in he told us to stay seated and they would be starting the film again and get the alarm off, 2 minutes later he came back and said everyone had to go to the lobby and the firemen would be turning off the alarm. So the whole lobby was full and the firemen men came but they had to check each theater room and they worked on turning off alarm. We stayed for 35 minutes but they still could not get the alarm to stop, so we asked for a voucher for another time and received it. You could clearly see that the employees were not trained for this kind of situation.

Try to bring a small car if you wanna be put up front. Not every spot has speakers which is why they have you tune your car radio in. Bring an extra handheld radio if you wanna sit out on a blanket because the speakers that are on the posts only go so far! Make sure to eat at the concession stand so this place stays in business!
