I came here to look for birthday gift items for a friend. Naturally, I tend to hit the cheap book section and see if there's anything that my friend would like, which ends up being a book at I want! Even though my friend isn't a child, I stumbled into the children's section. I am a big kid at heart and was pleased to see Yummy World stuffed toys, along with pandas, pineapples, and more. I came back to my senses and found a car charger in the shape of a cactus. It had three USB ports. It was perfect for my friend! It was perfect for me, too. It was 50% the regular price. I enjoyed looking at the merchandise in this store. The beverage bottles looked pretty. I smiled at the food coin purses and taco caps. It was almost as if staff knew that I would like food-themed items and they rolled out the food carpet for me. The woman at the checkout was great. She was friendly and cheerful. I had her scan my Indigo rewards card off my phone. It works nicely. This store is in a plaza, with Winners and Marshalls within close proximity. I'd come back to this Chapters when I'm back in town. This place offers the bare minimum of the game Bingo but not much more…read more I love playing Bingo but this place is run down. The tables and furniture are old. There is a station for food\drinks but offers minimal food that does not taste too great -e.g. nachos were chips and cheese whiz. The announcers also sound bored and monotone. The good part is that the washrooms are plentiful and was clean! The Bingo is actually very fun, and the workers are knowledgeable and willing to help the newbies understand how to game works (e.g.pattern, etc) so that was really great. The others playing are also very friendly. It cost around $10 for a decent sized card and this gives you access to the whole game providing 3 hours of entertainment-3 hours of entertainment for $10 is pretty good! Great for friends getting together because this allows for conversation in between games, however the atmosphere caters towards seniors and the appearance of the place looks rundown so please take this into consideration. Some course material is even ONLY available at Haven. It's only a block away from campus and you can just walk up Sunnyside to get there. Students can sell their books, and it's much cheaper to buy ones that are used (if they're being used again for that course/semester/school year). The main problem is that because so many students need to buy books there, it's far too small to accommodate everyone, and you usually need to wait in a long, long, almost never-ending line at the beginning of every semester. It also doesn't have air-conditioning, which wouldn't be a problem, except when the space is so limited that you're usually back-to-back and shoulder-to-shoulder with other students and it can get really hot and humid.
