So my second experience here was not too bad; however, still some issues. I was able to check in…read moreand get a king size bed room on the 1st floor (hated climbing the stairs the first time). The room has a couch in the entry way, king sized bed (photo 9 out of 108) and a really nice looking shower in the bathroom (photo 29 out of 108). The issues I have found on my first day here is that the spray from the sink goes off to the side (room 23) and the t.v., though a big improvement to the cable package since last time (has travel channel, Discovery, etc.) has a set volume. Every time I hit the volume button, it has two options (shows icons of headphones and tv), but the increase and decrease of the volume is only shown over the headset icon. From the remote itself, I cannot cursor to the t.v. icon (which is how I think could increase the volume) and so I have to stay with a set low volume. It kind of aggravated me. Apparently, it seems like it is random. In the morning, the volume changed over to speakers. Weird. The breakfast today was great. The sausage patties were cooked well. They also have cheese omelets which makes this location unique. The only item I did not see was yogurt (which I do not usually eat anyway, but I see at other hotels). The juice dispenser has four options (orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice, and water). I always love taking the cranberry juice if its an option. The breakfast board, that lists out the items for what will be put out for breakfast every day is a bit misleading though. They have sausage patty listed for one day and the rest they have "sausage." I thought it may have been sausage links, but I had just seen sausage patties. One might as well take the time to write the whole two words out. It would have been nice to see sausage links though to change things up.

This motel is very nice. Modern and clean. GREAT customer service. I highly recommend a stay.read more

We've been Red Roof fans for many years, primarily due to their pet-friendly policy. Although we no longer have pets, we continue to stay at the Red Roofs we know. The Red Roof in Corbin is one of our favorites. It has been renovated recently and is very clean and pleasant. We've already posted a "GREAT" review about the southern leg of our recent trip to Daytona and are now reporting that our stay going north was just as good. Actually better because they upgraded us to a room with a whirlpool bath. We highly recommend the Corbin KY Red Roof Inn. It's located next to I-75 but without any noise from the highway. Also, many restaurants are nearby. We recommend Bubby's BBQ or Brooklyn Brothers Pizzeria (a full Italian restaurant) which are located very close to the Red Roof.

Once I got my key card I went to check the room. Walked in and started to check the beds they were clean but had cigarette burns on one of them. The beds are rock hard. After looking at the beds I walk into the bathroom and there was pubic hair in the bathtub and the walls are stained. Paints chipped throughout the place. I go to walk out of the bathroom and there in BLOOD in the bathroom door frame. Yikes! Then I check the drawers and found mice poop. I did go to the front desk where she offered to clean it for me or give me another room. When I was shown the other room the head board on one of the beds specifically the one closest to the window had handprints from the previous guests and their "nighttime wrestling". There was no way my kids were gonna sleep in that bed. I checked the bathroom there too and hair was also found in the bathtub. I told the lady I was going to check and see what my husband wanted to do and when I walked back in the room we were originally in was clean and we didn't want to throw money down the drain so we stayed in the original room. As I stayed through the night I noticed their decorations specifically curtain rod cover was just plywood with paint thrown over it. I also pulled a tan blanket that was above the ironing board and an eyebrow razor fell out from in between it. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and have never seen anything quite like this. The only plus is the super adorable fluffy cat that sits outside. When you spend money on something you want it to be nice.

The employee that checked me in was friendly and cared about my privacy; she didn't say my room number and pointed at my room number and said, "your room is on this floor." Information about breakfast and pool hours were provided. I was offered a 15% off coupon for the BBQ joint across the street, which I politely declined. She then said it was "really good" BBQ. (I disagree; while I have not been to that location, I've never been impressed with the chain.) Before leaving to the room, the employee extended an offer to provide any assistance I may need. I was in room 305 which was near the end of the hall. The room had 2 beds and a separate sitting area. There was only one TV in the room which was in the bedroom area. The bed was a bit hard and bouncy. Plenty of pillows were provided. Upon initial inspection, the room was clean. There wasn't much dust in the usual hiding spaces, but a large amount of dust had accumulated around the tub and tile floor, especially in the corners by the wall. I think a good moping would be sufficient to clean up the dirt. There is a gas station across the street which provides cheaper drinks and snacks than those sold in the vending machine at the hotel. The location of the hotel is quite nice. It is off a signaled intersection which appeared to be busy the majority of the time. I guess that is to be expected just off the Interstate. The signal definitely makes this hotel an easy on/off type of situation. The sleep quality was great. Walls were thick and I couldn't hear others. The room kept the temperature through the night and the fan had the right level of noise for my taste of "white noise." WiFi is unreliable, slow, and at most times, inaccessible.
