Stayed there two nights. It was "OK ". Staff seem to be nice enough, even though I only interacted with them once at check-in. The hotel was fairly clean. But it was pretty well worn in places. Worst thing was the closet space. There was none. It was a wall mounted rack for hangers just inside the door. And once you put things on the hangers on the rack, the door would hit them when you open them - see the picture. There was also a room safe, but it needed a key. And the instructions on the front said keep the key with you, but don't lose it. Otherwise you'll be charged a fee. But there was no key. The bathroom shelving was almost nonexistent. I was traveling by myself and could barely get all of my toiletries on the shelf. I had to remove all the little things they had put on the shelf. Plus, it had a plexiglass cover on it and that was cracked and broken and they had just used scotch tape to repair it. If I'de been there with my wife or another person, I don't know where we would've put everything in the bathroom. There was also a shower chair in the bathroom, which I didn't understand. Because this was not an accessible room. It also looked like in the bathroom someone's make up, had exploded and sprayed above the doorway in the bathroom. It was a burgundy splatter. At least I'm hoping it was make up. They also charge a big fine for smoking in your room, and yet the one side chair in my room, had an obvious cigarette burn in it. As much as they charge in a fine, they should've taken that money from whoever burned this chair and bought a new chair. It was also pretty well worn. As I said, overall an OK but iffy hotel, but don't expect anything terribly nice. Just average. I definitely would try a different hotel if I was ever back in Corbin. read more

My wife and stayed here last night we both stubbed our toes on the bed, mattress is a little shorter the the bed frame, so you need to walk out a little from it. The toilet is very low, felt like I was sitting on the floor. Traffic noise very bad at night. Used bed pillows over my head. Other then that it was good. read more

My husband stayed here overnight, for work, while waiting on the taxi in the front desk, a huge bed bug crawled across his chest. He snapped it up, threw it in his hot coffee, then took it out took at picture, sure enough. It was a female mature bedbug. Gave the bug to the front desk clerk, and told him the story. He brought them home, although we were very careful when he hit the front door to strip. But all the clothes in hot water and dry them in hot water. Bed bugs are horrible thing, i wouldn't wish that on my enemy! read more

Horrid! Bedbugs! Dingy! Checked in and checked out as fast as we could. 9 days later I still do not have my refund. Comparing my refund receipts to what I was charged online, they are shorting me $214.96. I should not have to work this hard to get my account settled. read more

Prices are good. Room was ready and clean. The staff was great working with adjusting our reservation when we had to cancel our first 2 nights due to our flight delay at the airport. The bed was a little past its prime. Air conditioner was noisy and traffic loud. The breakfast was good. Staff seemed eager to meet our needs. Soda in the lobby was only $0.75. I'd probably stay somewhere else simply for the better mattress and quieter nights sleep. read more

Got to the room, It was nasty, Toe nail clipping on the floor, The chair and sofa was splattered with something, Not sure if it was blood or beverage, Dead fly's smashed on the inside of the window, Free breakfast was horrible. Incompetent excuse for staff. Very unprofessional. Since when is it ok to lie to a paying customer and scream at them like a lunatic? Look back on your outdated camera system and you'll find out just how nasty, rude and VERY unprofessional your "staff" (Warm bodies) are. While dealing with the so-called staff I quickly found out I was not the only one who had booking issues and was lied to. How is this place still open? We had our Union College homecoming nearby, and stayed a few days at Baymont. We were treated very well and enjoyed our stay. Our room was nice and clean. The staff outstanding. Breakfast was great and it was extra nice that Cracker Barrel was within walking distance. We highly recommend this hotel. read more

We arrived late and the staff was cordial and moved us from our reserved room to a first floor suite, they also brought us a crib. It was clean and the breakfast was adequate and generous for the cost! The pool was warm and in a greenhouse like room, easy and quick fun before getting on the road! I would stay here again and recommend it! It was a good deal and provided easy access to the parking lot and to the highway. read more

Booked a room for two queen beds, showed up and they had changed it to a room with one bed without asking. Now my family and I have to try and find another place to stay at 7:30 at night. The room should have never been changed without asking us. We paid for a room with two beds, that is what we should have received. SPEND THE EXTRA AND STAY @ THE HAMPTON INN!!! Hotel was clean, convenient to interstate, gas & fast food options. Hotel staff has horrible, from checking in with rude, unaccommodating front desk staffing all the way up to the Manager, Jessica. This hotel is a disgrace to the Baymont chain. As a single, business customer charging a 10 night stay to a business account, I always call ahead and my reservationist requests 1st floor king rooms. I was told upon check in they could not accommodate either of the requests. Checked in. Walked straight to room and keys did not work. Almost daily my keys were inoperable. Cleaning staff was accessing my room without permission and when the "Do Not Disturb" sign was on the door handle. I would go to work, return back & find items moved, touched inside when I had clearly not needed or wanted services. When I addressed this with the Mgr, Jessica, she informed me they could go into my room at any time for any reason. She was not concerned and was very rude that I was concerned and upset about her staffs actions. On the Weekends this hotel was a party hotel. Late night, younger generation of clients, check ins what could easily be assumed as call girls or hookers, loaded with alcohol and noisy ranting through the hall ways and disturbing guests. Loud trucks and sports cars racing through parking lot & screeching tires. There was no regard for peace, customer service or satisfaction at any point when these issues were taken to the manager, Jessica. I stayed at Baymont in Corbin, Ky for 8 days while in town for my Fathers funeral. The staff was amazing! I got sick while I was there, housekeeping worked around me and Jessica at the front desk brought up orange juice to my room. Thank you all for the kindness and compassion. read more

This hotel was a serious disappointment with little consideration for its guests. Please take note of the satisfaction guaranty as you check in as it is not worth the plaque it is printed on. My wife and I checked in expecting to relax from our days travel. Both the TV and Internet were out. There were no weather issues in the area. I had a teleconference to participate in that required WiFi. I was not advised of any problems at check in even though I had inquired about it twice. My chief complaint is that it is unconscionable that the front desk would not advise guests at check in of a problem. Particularly when at check in inquires were made twice about the internet connection. Furthermore the excuse that the front desk may not have known does not hold water in that the TV had been out (frozen picture) for five hours in plain site of the clerk and the manager admittedly was aware of an internet problem in the area. After bringing this to the attention of the hotel manager she failed to honor the guarantee. Upon bringing the issues to Baymont Corporate they stated they would get back with me in a stated number of days. They never did. Let the guest beware. Not a guest friendly place. The handicap room 409 wasn't handicap. The only handicap thing there was a shower chair . I couldn't even get into my room. My mother and I had to trade rooms 410. The box spring sheets had blood stains on them. They have roaches that only come out at night. You can't put your room key next to your phone or it will deactivate it. The rooms were overall dirty like they hadn't been swept. The chair had stains on it to. it was just overall sucky. If you're a lady and travel alone don't go here. High sex trafficking. If you do decide to stay there, sleep with a taser or pepper spray. To top it off, this part isn't a bad, but visitors cannot use the pool, and it's only the people that are on the reservation list . read more

My wife and I have relatives in the Columbus, Ga and Phenix City, Alabama area and visit them when we can. We always make a two day trip out of the drive. We've stopped here twice and both times experienced no problems. The price was reasonable, and the rooms clean. The WiFi was fine, I'm not sure what the other person found wrong, but for us, it did all we needed. Will stay here again. read more

What a bad experience. The hotel said it was renovated, but there was peeling paint throughout. Midway through our stay we realized the lock on the door did not work! When I reported it to the desk, the clerk said, deadpan, "There's nothing I can do about it." Because it's a franchise the Wyndham headquarters offered only to investigate it! We travel constantly and usually have no trouble with any of the hotels that we stay in but this hotel hands down had the most uncomfortable bed I have laid on in my entire life we ended up getting up at 3 o'clock in the morning and checking out of the hotel not to mention that all the pillows had censor tags on them but I'm assuming it's to keep people from stealing the pillows but it jabbed you in the face while you were trying to sleep I would've given it no stars had that been an option. read more

Was visiting son and looking for someplace to stay with an indoor pool. This did fit the bill. The rooms were clean, but the furniture was somewhat worn. It would be nice to have a nice chair to sit in, but there are none. Basically, rooms to sleep. The pool is clean and nice. Breakfast is free, and somewhat sad. The eggs are fused and the sausage is not flavorful. The juice dispenser was not working when we were there. From reading other reviews of other hotels in the area, this seems to be on a par with the area, but not great. read more

I couldn't decide whether to give 3 stars or 4. Our room was fine, everything clean with no smoke smells or anything. But this building is so close to I-75 that I had trouble sleeping with the traffic noise. My wife was super tired and she conked out without a problem. So if you're a light sleeper you might want to look elsewhere. Everything else was fine though- pool was heated and clean, breakfast buffet was very good at this price point, and everyone I spoke to on the staff was friendly. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! In 2/20, I stayed at the Baymont Inn, Corbin, KY, for 9 days, while a part of a group responding to a local disaster operation. One day I discovered a $10 roll of quarters which I brought with me for laundry had been stolen from the desk drawer in my room. After repeated attempts to obtain a refund from hotel management and the corporate office, this is the response I received: "We are sorry for your loss of a roll of quarters, however our property is not reliable for lost or stolen items, there is a safe in each room our property provides for the safety of guest personal belongings, in which you choose not to take advantage of . We will not be sending you a check for ten dollars, we understand that you feel that your quarters where taken from your room , however we feel that we have a honest staff that have been with us for years an never had a issue with stolen belongings from guest rooms. Sometimes items are lost or misplaced, I'm sorry that you feel differently, but upon much consideration to your claim , we don't feel an obligation to replace your quarters. Have a nice day Mrs. Brown" I am a retired law enforcement officer, and am still astonished that 1) my property was stolen by a housekeeper; and 2) the hotel did not have the decency to refund me for the loss. IMHO, they just ripped me off for $71.66. I had reservations but had to cancel. When I cancelled, the young lady told me everything was cancelled and even wished me well. But then they took the money off my debt card. I called the General manager and told her and she said she did not believe me and then hung up on me. So in my opinion this is a horrible place. I have to admit, this hotel was not too bad. I had my reservations about it after reading the reviews on the place, but being that it's Corbin, KY there are not a whole lot of options in the hotel department. This was an adequate hotel that was clean and the room was acceptable for a 1 night stay. Not sure why anyone would stay in Corbin for more than 1 day anyhow. The front desk staff was friendly but the rest of the staff was cold and in fact looked annoyed that they had to ride the elevator with me. Not like that ride in the elevator was the highlight of my day either but I was able to put a smile on my face only to be returned with a huff and an annoyed look. The free wifi was terrible and the free breakfast was kind of weak as well. Other than that I would stay there again if I ever was unfortunate enough to find myself in Corbin in the future.
