This one is not only more conveniently located for me, it is a nicer, cleaner and more caring nursing facility. I thank Eboni Goode, from admissions, for making the transition from one facility this one, seamless. The staff is also nice and never act bothered when you ask a question. This includes office staff, nurses, nursing assistants, as well as housekeeping workers. They call you when necessary to keep you updated with resident's care. I'm pleased, my father is pleased. The residents complain about slow service for food and staff sneaking in their rooms when they think they are sleeping. My relative was told by the nursing staff that they would get to her when they were good and ready and that the residents shouldn't use the call button when they need something. We are paying BIG money ($6800 a month) for this place and have complained over and over to the facility about the lack of compassion with their ill trained staff and the difficulty with getting her medication to her and they say it will never happen again. That's a lie!!!!!!! They don't fix anything. For the price we pay, my relative should be waited on hand and foot and treated like a human being and never run out of life saving medication. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.

The team at Spring Mill not only nursed my mother back to stable health but also helped her regain her strength, walk again, and become independent with their support and encouragement. Their dedication and compassion truly made all the difference. My mother received rehabilitation, skilled nursing and memory care while at Spring Mill. The facility itself is exceptional--clean, well-maintained, and free from unpleasant odors. More importantly, the staff is amazing, providing attentive and professional care. The leadership team is actively involved and has gone above and beyond to communicate with our family and ensure my mother continues to receive quality healthcare as she transitions to another facility. I cannot thank Spring Mill Health Campus enough for the care, dignity, and respect they have shown my mother. I made the horrible mistake of sending my mother there to receive hospice care after being told by…read morethe hospital social worker that the various facilities in the area were pretty much the same. The hospice staff (which is separate from the facility) was wonderful, but some of the staff at Spring Mill were horrible. No one wears any name tag or ID, so when I tried to register a complaint, I couldn't name the employee. My mother had dementia and 3 different cancers which were very painful. We were assured that a family member could stay with her overnight, which my nephew did, but the next evening one of the nurse's aides insisted that he had to leave because it was against the rules to stay overnight. The next morning we arrived to discover that my mother had not received any pain meds overnight because "she never asked for them". I again explained that her dementia made it hard for her to remember where she was and why she was there. I'm pretty sure no one checked on her all night. Later that day I overheard the aide telling another staff member that my nephew "looked sketchy" and if he stayed the night she was going to clock out and go home. I went to the nursing supervisor to let her know that some of the night staff seems to be worried about their safety, and she rolled her eyes and said they have no reason to be worried. I went back to that aide and said I tried to bring her concerns to the supervisor and she just looked at me. Then I asked her what exactly she means by the term "sketchy" because I didn't understand, and she said she didn't have to answer to me and she takes excellent care of all the residents. Then I said, "How can you say that when you were ready to leave them shorthanded all night because you didn't like the way my nephew looked?" Next thing I know she's screaming at me while the other staff members are dragging her down the hallway. I told whatever staff members who were there that I didn't want that woman anywhere near my mother because I can't trust her. I never saw her again for the remainder of my mother's stay. The next two weeks were filled with repeating why my mother couldn't ask for pain meds but was obviously in pain, stopping them from rolling her over to change her diaper until AFTER her meds, dealing with nurses who refused to place the drops of medicine in her cheek unless she was alert (some would do it, others would not). I finally figured out that we would be able to take better care of my mom in her apartment with the help of hospice. I was paying a fortune to be frustrated and angered by insensitive people who have no business caring for our loved ones. I later discovered that Medicare.gov has a rating system for nursing homes, and, not surprising, Spring Mill had their lowest rating. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!

Having her return home was no longer an option; which led me to quickly get to up to speed on senior living options,mostly on my own. I found her a place & moved her in all before her release. While I ensured her safety, I second guessed my decisions as she vocally struggled to adjust; it was a lot of change particularly for someone who rarely left her home. Almost 6 months in, a different set of doubts & worries took over. Did I make the right call, could she live somewhere more affordable, would she outlive her money, etc. I don't even recall what search term led me to Senior Living Experts, but I'm grateful. Rebecca listened to my story and made me feel less alone. She thought where my mom was at was the best option in terms of cost, desired location and care needs addressed, but would do the research and circle back. We also discussed the care she received currently and provided a few suggestions. As promised, Rebecca followed up and confirmed her initial assessment. Yes, I'll still worry about her finances, but I now have a better understanding of the landscape and what comes should her care needs increase. If I had a do over, I would have started with Senior Living Experts, they are amazing!

My mother needed more then they could offer, although they convinced me she would be taken care of. Having to place my mother in an assisted care facility was very difficult and after the fact I realized they could NOT give what she needed. As a result, this move too Belvedere was a horrible experience! The cleanliness of her and her room was just awful. While I thought this would help me, it actually was a nightmare. I worried about her everyday...I had to be there everyday to make sure she was clean...her bedding was clean...I often cleaned the bathroom myself because it was dirty. I had to beg them to shower her...I was so disappointed in this facility. Their way out...sent her to the hospital for blood work!!! Then would not accept her back! She suffered bruising and injuries that they claimed they could not explain! Upon entering Belvedere... I had to sign a paper stating that I would not record anything in my mother's room!! I would never ever consent to that ever again!! Very disappointed and I feel guilty because I feel I let my mother down! I was her advocate! Anyone who reads this review...consider carefully your options for care giving. My mother has since past away... I can not change this experience but I regret ever letting her stay for the short time she was there!
