Today 6 degrees & -11 w wind chill my rear tire suddenly was reading 6 degrees and 10 minutes later was down to 3 pounds. Friend had a small handheld air pump and got it filled high enough to get me down to Brendan, Daryl, and Shaun were terrific! Shaun quickly, discovered that a big piece of metal was embedded between the air loss. He meticulously patched it, plugged it and insured all tires were at the proper. A class act! i Am not easily impressed, but my recent experience at town fair was so wonderful, primarily based on William who was so modest and reminded me how hard the guys out back work. I called at 830am got in by 1030 am for a flat repair. I was told roughly an hour once I got there. Within 30 min I was called and my tire was patched and ready to drive. Expect to wait if you aren't spending more than $100. I have no trouble when I buy tires here, but if you schedule service with out a product purchase or you decline the add-on alignment service, you are put at the bottom of their to-do list and can wait up to an hour past your appointment time before they take the car back. I previously asked to get a single tire mounted for my wife's car when we had a roadside flat and was told that would take hours to fit that work in. I recommend another shop down the street if you just need good service. This shop serves customers spending hundred$$ best. read more

Never. Never will I go back to Town Fair Tire. After paying for the purchase and installation of 4 new tires, I received a call that installation was complete. When I arrived to pick up my car I was told that they could not reinstall a lug bolt and they handed it to me. They stated it was now my problem and they could not fix it. They refused to pay to have it fixed and they lacked the knowledge and tools to fix the problem. I subsequently had to fix the problem myself at my own cost. They also didn't replace the valve stem caps. In addition, while my car was on the lift, I asked if they could replace my headlights, which I brought with me. The manager said "I wouldn't let these guys touch my car, they aren't mechanics." Go at your own risk, I wouldn't. read more

They are the most untrustworthy business in Rutland! If you are a women watch out, they will lie and tell you repairs are made to your tires when they are not. I was told I had a screw (they even showed me a screw) in my tire and it was plugged. When I asked Brandon to show me the plug, it was not there. When he checked with his "most respected tech" in the back, it was relayed it was an issue with the bead. This was the second "repair" for the same issue on the same tire in less than a month. I don't believe they did anything but waste my time. Don't worry Town Fair, I'll have the guys down the street fix what you can't!! Lost another one!! read more

I wanted to update my review because even though I have had a few hitches during the buying process, I have also found the majority of the staff here to be very considerate, polite, and conscientious. The manager, Brandon, in particular, went out of his way to help sort out a mistake that had occurred from a miscommunication, and he fixed the issue immediately, himself. I still hold to my opinion in my previous review that in the internet age we live in, it is probably a good idea to do your own research on-line and choose a tire that professional publications and the public have given high ratings. Each time I have been offered a less expensive option, which may have been perfectly fine, but I feel safer knowing I have a product that is popular and is well-rated. I just bought Bridgestone Blizzak WS90 tires for my car, and so far I like them. The ride is smooth and quiet. I also bought Bridgestone Turanza tires for my all seasons a couple of months ago, and I am very happy with them. My final word is that I will be coming back, and mostly that is because several people who work there have made a good impression on me, and I feel that they are well intentioned and take pride in doing their job well. I think the price I paid was easily within the range of prices I saw on the internet, perhaps even a little better. read more

I am a local resident and have tried many tire locations in the area over the past several years. I have been so happy and impressed with their service here that I have only brought my car to Town Fair since 2021. Appointments are always on-time, and quick. I had to replace a tire that couldn't hold air and had planned on replacing it - I brought it in and they were able to fix it and save me from buying a new tire. Love them!! read more

I spoke to one of the tire experts on the phone the other day and he quickly helped me figure out exactly what tires I need. Today I had my appointment and I was at the shop for just over an hour, I got four brand new tires. Everyone was super nice, and Justin was very helpful and explained everything. Not only they made me wait 25 mins in line to check in after making an appointment the previous day, not only they expect you to hang out for hours as they service your car, they also do tell you that you can bring your own new tires but then refuse to use them! Everyone makes mistakes, the important point is how they deal with it. When I bought my new snow tires last fall one of Town Fairs' techs mixed up two of my tires with someone else's. We only found this out when I went back in to change over to my summer rubber. It could easily have become a huge problem for me. Brandon stepped up and assured me they would make it right. Understandably, it took a little while to work out the paperwork, but in the end, it was painless and they made it more than right. I could not have asked to be treated more properly and fairly. My first appointment at the Rutland location was a disaster! They quoted me a price and when I got there I was told that the 'tire expert' quoted me on the wrong size and my tires end up costing me an additional $400. Second appointment at Rutland - my appointment was for 5pm, when I asked an hour later on the progress seeing as I was told this will only take an hour my car hasn't even been started on. Then followed all the excuses. Fast forward to another hour and twenty minutes I'm being told it's going to be another 45min. I have my own business and live an hour away from this location. If the delay was explained to me I would have made arrangements accordingly. Now it's affecting my business as I have to take another day out of my schedule to come back to Rutland again as it's 7:30pm and everywhere I need to be will be closed by the time I finally get out of here. A little communication from the staff would have gone a really long way in preventing this review. read more

The rear driver's side tire blows on a busy, narrow road with no shoulder. No choice but to drive the remaining 10 miles home on a flat tire. By the time I got there, tire had shredded and fallen off and the entire rear quarter panel was a mess...looked like the tire actually melted and was smeared across the side of the car. Asked for an inexpensive tire to get me thru the weekend - car is a dealer's loaner and only had the mini donut and didn't feel comfortable on the thruway with it. Super helpful clerk got me a great price for a single tire, had it on and ready to go in 40 mins, and when I got the car back they had cleaned all the rubber and tar off so the car looked like new! I had an 11:00AM appointment, ended up waiting an hour and a half for my car to enter the garage. They failed to tell me prior to installation that they don't carry Mercedes Benz tire pressure senors, so there's a light constantly flashing on my dash until I have to pay to get it fixed. I gave them specific instructions to install a set of wheel spacers with my new tires. They failed to do that and installed all of the wrong lugs with the wheels. Probably one of the easiest tasks, match lugs and out the right ones on, and they fucking failed to do that. All in all $650 for a set of snow tires. Terrible customer service, wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

I've been using Town Fair Tire in Norwalk, CT for many years. I've always found their customer service and prices to be excellent and this Town Fair in Rutland, VT is no exception. To start, Sarah scheduled me right away on a Saturday just after I discovered my flat tire. Once I arrived, Cameron did an excellent job quickly finding a nail in my tire and seeing that it was fixed as quickly as possible. He, and everyone else we interacted with, was upbeat and courteous. This store has tires. Stacks and Stacks of new rubber to compliment any budget. Jonathan at the Rutland Store went above and beyond to help me pick out new snows for my truck today. Yes it was busy. It's winter. It's snowing. It's the weekend. Despite those odds, I was able to leave my Tacoma to get the tires swapped over. Town Fair Tire's paging system texting me later when the job was started and when it was done. All the employees I encountered were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and customer focused from start to finish. These guys deserve a Christmas bonus. This is the worst service I have ever gotten. I went in, and after waiting in line for 45 minutes, I was able to make an appointment to have my tires mounted and balanced. When I showed up for the appointment I still had to wait for over an hour before they started working on my vehicle. At the end of it all, two of the tires were inflated over the max psi rating of the tire, and the car was showing a warning light. Every mount and balance comes with a free front end alignment, and they messed that up rather severely. The car pulled very hard to the left after they were done with it. When i went back half an hour after leaving to tell them the situation, they said the car must have pulled before they got it. So there are two options: either it pulled before, and you didn't do the alignment, or you messed it up. Either way you are responsible for this. They also said that they don't follow the psi rating on the actual tire, they inflate them to what they think the car needs. Very poor service, and terrible work. Stay away. read more
