I know they don't have a choice due to the inflation of everything but it makes it hard to stick around for a really long time unless my kid is very serious about it.

We arrived about 30 minutes early and still felt rushed. The mall directions led us to a first kiosk, but Activate is actually on the third floor, so that added some confusion. When we arrived, there was a fairly long line. I had pre-registered online using a gift card, but at check-in they initially said I owed the full amount. I had to ask them to locate and apply the gift card I had already purchased. Once that was sorted out, each person in our group had to sign in separately, which takes a few minutes per person. They did provide a free locker, which was great. I highly recommend putting all jackets and hoodies in there - you will get hot fast. Once signed in, the instructions are very brief, but easy enough to figure out as you go. We were a group of six and hoped to play together, but had to split into two groups. That ended up being fine because we competed against each other, which was actually fun. There are about 10 rooms, and each room offers multiple game options. Every game earns you points, and there's a large scoreboard showing rankings, which adds a fun competitive element. We went on a busy day, so we did have short waits for some games, but usually only a couple of minutes. One downside: I wish there were a water fountain inside the gaming area. You can't bring water bottles in, and while there is a fountain by the lockers, our one-hour session flew by and we barely had time to step out. Overall, we had a great time and would absolutely do it again. Tips if you go: 1. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to find it and check in. 2. Wear shorts, a T-shirt and running shoes. 3. It was the busiest around 10-12 and was pretty much cleared at around 1230-1am. If you're willing to stay out that late, it made for an almost non existent wait line! The hills were well lit and the chairlifts moved quickly enough that the long lines at peak time weren't so bad. When you needed refuge from the cold, they had a multi story lodge to warm up in. They offered a variety of foods with one more concession focused and another room dedicated to more of an actual restaurant. When I went inside the restaurant was not serving food so I got a small fry from the concession and it was very reasonably priced at $3.50. They also had a bar upstairs where you could get beers and I believe cocktails - they also had a live band playing the night I was there. Overall very cool hangout spot whether you are indoors or outdoors - but be sure to reserve your passes early. The passes were sold out to those who tried to get them at the door, so plan ahead!

They were quick and responsive and everything was all planned via email which made things so convenient! They were straightforward about what to bring for the lock in. The night of, the girls had fun! Lots of space to run and around and be teenagers. All the girls had games the next day, so they came in and all said something about the temperature, some were too hot and some were too cold. One common thing was if they just had blankets on the floor, they were cold. The other minor thing that could be improved - online waivers. I had to manage all the parent waivers. Overall, a great experience! When we went there was only rock climbing and archery available - that said they got their fill of those activities, so we probably would not do it again next year.
