Members not consulted about changes. They just come from above. music in gym & outdoor pools outrageously loud. Most people have their own headsets & music. But can't be heard. & no amount of requests seem to yield results. This person says that person that person say oh it's from there. Etc. Equipment disappears- you like it? Too bad. It's gone. So it's a lot of $ - maybe worth it particularly if you are a swimmer

I had been happily attending until a series of negative events caused me to cancel my membership…read more It started with my nephew who had been involved in kids Academy, and wound up breaking his arm there. He reported, slipping and falling on something wet, which leads me to believe that the facilities weren't being properly monitored for cleanliness and safety around children. The following week, my son fell in his lip was busted, but the team in charge of kids academy really had no explanation as to how that happened either. Finally, in an attempt to relax recently, I chose to enjoy the steam room and hot tub on site. Both rooms had mold on the floor, and when I went to take a shower, I found that someone had detangled their hair and smeared it on the wall of the shower and that no one had bothered to clean it up. At over $200 a month for the membership you would expect that maintenance will be available and that I would not have had hair balls flying at me when I tried to get in the shower, but that is not the case. I reported this issue to the front desk and they gave me the email address to their manager. Unfortunately, I was given the wrong email address and the email bounced back. I copied the overarching Life Time email address in my communication and all I received was an automated email saying that my membership has been canceled. No acknowledgment of my experiences there. Extremely disappointing.

Burdensome membership agreement…read more I signed up for a gym membership at Anytime Fitness and in my meeting with the staff person I was told that if I ever wanted to cancel my membership I would have to pay a fee of $50 (it seemed a little high at the time, but I decided to move forward). Once my living situation changed and I moved away, I requested to cancel my membership. A different manager informed that cancelling my membership would incur a $100 fee, but in the same sentence indicated that actually I cannot end my membership. So here I am still stuck with a company that takes my money every month without me being able to use the membership. It has been nearly 6 months since the first time I requested membership cancellation. And still they are processing my credit card every month. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this gym in particular nor can I recommend the business model that Anytime Fitness uses. In follow-up letters and emails to this business where I've requested to, once again again, end my membership, I've received condescending explanations along with threats of credit ruin if I stop paying my monthly membership. These kinds of tactics, fear tactics, are akin to the slimy business niche of payday loans. A business like this should be able to adapt to the reality of the changing needs of its customers. This business has proven itself unadaptable, inflexible and predatory. Has anyone else had a similar experience like this with Anytime Fitness?

FAILURE TO SECURE THE SAFTEY AND WELL BEING OF A MEMBER On…read moreSunday Feb 8 2026 a severe weather warning is in effect around 6:52 pm. It's 11 degrees outside but with the wind it feels like -2. Just before this branched closed up at 7pm I received a call from my daughter explaining she had locked her keys in her car and asked if I could bring her spare. I explained I was on my way but she needs to stay indoors until I got there. Sub zero temperatures plus post work out sweat, winter jacket and minimal clothing make her chances of exposure to the elements increasingly hazardous. However, she informed me the front desk staff insisted she could not stay indoors after 7pm. My wife called the front desk and pleaded to keep her indoors and out of the freezing cold but was rejected. I then called and pleaded and then insisted on her safety and I to was also rejected. We were only asking for a short grace period. We were asking for the well being and safety of a current member and only for a short period of time. I was told by this uncompromising and inconsiderate front desk staff member that "insurance doesn't cover that.." and they were "..done with this conversation.." at which time they handed the phone back to my daughter and said to her that I "..was being an Asshole" and loud enough that I could here the insult over the phone! I call this a total disregard of compassion, professionalism and respect. I call it a total disregard for the safety and well being of another human being.

They have an indoor pool and outdoor pool. However, the membership only covers the indoor pool. The outdoor pool is extra. The cycling room is nice. They have an indoor track, which I love during rainy days or summertime when it's too hot to be outside. Since they've reopened after the Covid 19 shutdown, their hours have changed, so check before going. They have small classes for every level. They now have classes online. Overall, I enjoy the Y and will continue to go there.
