And the standards for this type of business concept are normally belooow the basement. But I figured we'd stop in while running errands in the area and grab something to munch on. I saw that they fry with tallow and I'm always on the hunt for some beef fat fried goodness. Now it's a rarity to spend less than $10 on a good burger these days in ATL, and even more of a rarity to feel that said burger was worth your coins. I side-eyed their $6 single but figured I'd give it a shot. Man, NFA proves that a burger doesn't have to be "gourmet" to still be damn good. The sauces, mustard, juices from the beef, slight sweetness from the potato roll, the crunch of the pickle... it all combines into something simplistic in nature yet magical. I usually expect this level of good (and inexpensive) in South GA but they brought that small town flair to the suburbs of Dunwoody. I hate crinkle fries normally but the decision to fry them in tallow makes me a believer. Simple, classic menu. No frills. Hot and fast. Great customer service, too. Just wait in your car and an amicable young adult (of which they seem to largely employ) will bring your order out to your car or to their picnic tables in the back. $17 for two to eat... in this day and age?!?! This place puts fast food burger chains to SHAME.

I've been a takeout customer, DoorDash and Uber Eats customer. I haven't been to the newest establishment. They moved a little bit further away from me, but not too much further, but I can guarantee you the quality is the same. And from what I've seen, there is a lot more space for customers to dine in and have a great experience. Now back to the food these are some of the best burgers I've ever had in my entire life. The meat is so tender, and the patties are so juicy. The flavor is just out of this world. One of my favorite entrées was the salmon pita, but sometimes I would get chicken. It really didn't matter the protein for me it was the toppings. The fresh veggies along with the feta cheese and the green herb sauce really takes this dish over the top. I'll always had to get an extra side of the sauce because it's that good.

Unfortunately, during my last couple of visits, I've noticed that the burger patties themselves have been seriously lacking seasoning. I'll always love the potato bun, and the fries with a side of cheese sauce remind me of an old favorite from when I was a kid. And the staff is always pretty attentive, but I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

The small parking lot was full and lucked out with a spot on the street. I opted to order at the bar so I could enjoy a beer and where it is full service - otherwise it is ordering at the register when you walk in. Service at the bar was friendly, efficient and attentive. I ended up with a double beef burger (each patty is 1/4 pound) at $9, pimento cheese (.75 cents) and Grindhouse Sauce which was in the 1000 island / Mac sauce territory. I was undecided on a side so lucky for me there is a "Frings" option of 1/2 onion rings and fries ($5.75). The burger was a little on the dry side even with the toppings but the potato roll made it a little more interesting. The onion rings were great and can't go wrong with crinkle cut fries. Cold Tropicalia on draft ($8) served by friendly bar staff made it a really great experience. Even though this is not my favorite burger, the sides, the drink options and the overall vibe of the place with excellent service still will make this a place I could visit again. Maybe giving a different burger a try instead of a BYO like I did the first time out.

You order at the counter and you can order anything there out of the all the restaurants they have. So you can order from any of five different spots and one register but I came specifically for Burger time. Birria burger - Now this burger was pretty good. It wasn't amazing but it was good. It needed an extra something. Typically. If you have this type of Taco you'll have something that you can dip the taco in, but the burger just came a little bit more dry and I feel like they could have had something extra to help it along. Queso fries - the fries were good. I feel like they kind of skimped a little bit on the queso, but other than that though they came out very crispy and the queso that was there was pretty flavorful. Onion rings - At this point I was just being a glutton LOL. Bunion rings were good and they had come back sauce and another sauce with them. I feel like they were kind of fried a little too hard though. But anybody could have an off day, not a big deal. You just don't want to cut your gums up like Captain crunch while you're trying to chew an onion ring LOL! Eventually I'll try the other couple of things. Like I haven't had the taco spot there yet, but it's on my list of things to do. It's a good duck off if you're in the area because there's a shopping area right across the street, so if you're in that Hood, I would definitely suggest giving it a checkout.
