I started going to Marks a few years ago upon the recommendation of a shop owner who retired and sold his business. I take my car in there as recommended for upkeep maintenance and I never worry about what has to be done as they go above and beyond. They look after me, if I need parts out of regular service Mark takes the time to make the calls and gets the best deals! The mechanics are honest, efficient and check beyond the service the car is in for to make sure all is good with my vehicle! I have recently moved but will continue to bring my car to Marks, finding a reputable Service Centre that is honest and works for your best is very hard to find! He immediately started yelling at me because he thought I wanted to have the work done immediately, when I specifically told him I wanted to make an appointment for another day. I cleared that up and politely asked him to lower his voice. Normally I would not put up with someone like this who obviously in a really bad mood and took it out on a potential customer. I operate my own business and I have dealt with people like this therefore I wanted to at least give him a chance. Next I explained what I needed done and that I had already purchased the parts. I expected to pay the full shop rate for the labour. He didn't like this at all. Flying off the handle would be putting it mildly. He was livid with me! He was screaming and yelling at me threatening to charge me double and there was nothing I could do about it. He started to say "You's people ...." I felt the next words would have been racial but he paused and explained that he wanted to sell me the parts so he can charge me the markup. Originally I had purchased the parts online, and I was going to install the parts myself when I figured it was too difficult for my skill level. The one other time I visited this business I had a wonderful experience because Mark (the owner of the business) was not involved in the transaction in any way. I really feel sorry for the employees at this business having a boss who is this way. One good thing to come out of this situation is that because Mark (the owner of the business) upset me in such a way that my determination to handle the job myself in my driveway was elevated enough that I did the job myself. If I had a hoist and an oxy acetylene torch to heat the rusted bolts, the entire job would have taken me less than an hour. There is no reason for any business owner to treat potential customers this way. When I was younger I had a boss like this. He treated me well, but was very mean and disrespectful to the other employees and customers for no reason at all. After listing to him in a very bad mood like this for 30 days I just got up and said I am leaving and not coming back, I have had enough listening to you. I will never deal with Marks Auto Service ever again and I certainly will NEVER give this business my money. I run my own business and I know how to deal with people, This is what brings me more business. I typically don't believe reviews, I want to give the business a chance. HOWEVER, If you don't believe me, just read other reviews describing the owners behavior!! Maybe it's time for the old man to retire.

He said he was too busy and wouldn't be able to see my car till 1 week later plus I had to find and bring all the parts to get the best deal. Mind you this is my commuter car I can't wait 2 week run around get parts. So I decided to call around. 1st to see if the price was right. 2nd see if I anyone can do this the quickest. Need to get back on the road. I must of called 20 different places got all sorts of quotes but no one was legit in terms of parts being use and time frame. I was so tired and upset not having a car I might lose my job COVID and all. I was at the breaking point. It was around 7 pm I got a Call from Richard who I called earlier and he said he will get back to me. He explained it all to me and the time frame and the work and parts etc. He was the only one that spent time to listen to my concerns know my budget and time frame. It's like god heard my cry's and came through. It's truly amazing to know good ppl still out there and understand the struggles. I felt appreciate and he definitely showed empathy. I would like to say thank you for all that you have done. Richard took it to the next level when we sent me pictures of the progress what's going on with my car. He strives to communicate as much information as he can. So far I have told all my coworkers and family that needs any type of service to at least get a second opinion. I though I had a person I could trust who I went to for everything over the last 10 years have given my old mechanic soo much Business only to find out he really didn't care especially when I needed him the most. I've had tire mounting and balancing done in Barrie, London, Scarborough and Pickering, no one has charged me more than $100 but this morning I spent way too much. I made the mistake of not asking the lady how much would they charge and she didn't bother to give me an estimate either. Gerry's is definitely not pocket friendly. So, if you ever think, "I'll go to the mechanic down the street it'll be alright" - NO! it'll not be alright! I did consult with my friends and colleagues, the maximum anyone of then has paid for tire mounting and balancing in Vaughan is $140 I'm definitely never going back to Gerry's that's for sure, I don't enjoy being ripped off.

The estimate process was easy to schedule. Took 5 minutes. Had to wait 3-4 days to hear back that parts had to be ordered and they call when they were ready. A call came about 1 week later. They had a rental car ready for us and they took the car for the body work. It took a little longer than I would have expected (~ 2 weeks). Don't matter as we had the rental. Well, the car was fixed perfectly. You would never know there was an accident. The insurance paid and we had no issues. I would certainly return to Concord Collision. As you know when you are taking your vehicle to get it fix you are nervous and hoping the shop will do a good job and you can trust them. My experience started when I met Cindy at the reception. She was courteous and very helpful and offered me a coffee and I waited for the gentleman to inspect my vehicle. This person was Nigel , a very kind and helpful person. Imagine you are trusting someone to fix your vehicle and take good care of it. From my initial step into the office it was a gratifying experience. I then met Ramsey, a very caring and extremely helpful person. Ramsey is the head of the operation. If you have met him you will know what I am referring to. Ramsey has your interest at heart, and only want to get the job done correctly and you make sure you are satisfied which is exactly my experience. My experience continued when I met Christina, a lovely and helpful individual, Christina made me feel like a family, she went out of her way to ensure that I was satisfied with the job. She came out with me to the vehicle holding my hands to the car for it was a snowy day full of ice and snow and I was very nervous going to my vehicle. The job was superb. I am very satisfied with the workmanship and the way in which they cleaned my car after the job was finished. There was another issue with my vehicle that was not related to the accident and Ramsey and Christina went above and beyond to help me and get my vehicle working.
