This is not a tourist bar by any means, but as a tourist my wife and I were treated great by the locals when we visited. Divey atmosphere, perfect for Ketchikan. Spicy Bloody Mary's served up by a friendly bartender. Met a local Native American at the bar and she filled us in on the history of the bar, locally owned for 52 years. Had an amazing time here with a few locals. The bartender Kray was very nice and welcoming. Drinks were cheap and we got a Kombucha spiked drink recommended by our bartender. Looks like Rosé but it was very very good w/ a 7% alcohol content. One of the locals bought us tons of pull tabs and my friend and I had the time of our life. If you are ever in Ketchikan and want to spend time with locals this bar is very much worth it. I loved the vibe here better than Arctic Bar. read more

Pour was generous, vibe was fun, and dart board was the star of the show. Bartender was super cheery and welcoming. Fun little bar to kill some time in while in port off our cruise. Five stars! Juan was awesome! We had a little time to kill on a cold rainy afternoon before our cruise ship left and we found the Totem bar. I'm sure glad we did. This place was cozy. The Totem bar in Ketchikan was one of the drinking stops we made during our port day. It's a typical dive bar with dark interior and questionable patrons. We wandered in asking for a Duck Fart which is a local Alaskan creation. It's a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream, Kahlua, and Crown Royal layered into a shot. As we were curious, we drank it in Ketchikan, just to say we had tried it. The bartender was friendly and the service was fast. The bar opens at 8 am until 2 am. As it were, we were drinking before noon. Not a bad place to check out for cheap drinks. read more

Definitely a locals bar that welcomes the cruise ship passengers. We were greeted as we entered as we had never been there before. Some of the regulars were nice to talk to and they seemed to be interested in our stay in their town. This was our 2nd bar stop on a Ketchikan pub crawl. It looked like a bar in any other city in America. It had a bar (counter,) several high tops and an assortment of alcohol signs adorning the walls. They had a full bar & lots of beers on tap; but the best thing was the "Totem Tea!" It was made with sweet tea Deep Edy Vodka and lemonade. It was served in an ice tea style glass and tasted like a spiked " Arnold Palmer." It was very refreshing & would definitely be really good on a hot summer day in the South. read more

Support this local hangout! The second-gen owners, Curtis and Pam, are friendly and genuine, the beers are cold, and it's just steps away from the pier! They treated my 92 year old mom (and me and my sis), like family. I can't wait to return to Ketchikan and hang out at this chill and down home bar. :-) read more

This is a conveniently located dive bar in downtown Ketchikan. As it was right next door to my hotel (the Gilmore), I found myself here several times. Friendly bartenders. Jukebox. Lots of locals. Meh beer selection, but they have Alaskan Amber and Alaskan White on tap. And smoking is allowed inside. read more

This establishment is in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. I just witnessed a man with disabilities and his service dog get demanded to leave because no dogs are allowed. The man was belligerent and stood in front of the disabled man with an aggressive stance, insisting that he leave immediately. The guy didn't even get 5 feet from door before this older man confronted him. Welcome to 2016, this type of discrimination against the disabled should not be tolerated. read more

Not a half bad joint, for Ketchikan. I like to go there to meet my friends. Bathrooms could be nicer. Don't care much for the pull tabs and pool table-not my style of entertainment! I suggest the owners take them out, and enlarge the dance floor. I also suggest the restrict the numbers of drinks to most of the clientele, since there are usually very loud and rude fisticuffs out front, at closing time! NOT cool! I also suggest they go non-smoking, to make it a lot healthier to breathe in there. This bar COULD be a lot classier, but it's not! If you want classy, go next door to Annabelles. read more
