You can tell he is enthusiastic about history, random facts, and of course the food! We had many delicious food items in borough market and at a pub. Foods ranging from sausage rolls, fish and chips, and English dessert. We also got a surprise treat at the end, which I greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend the London food tour!

Our guide, Jez, made the 3.5 hours fly by -- he was knowledgeable, passionate, witty, and incredibly relatable, which made the evening both fun and memorable. Going in, I didn't have huge expectations, but the variety of food we sampled absolutely exceeded them. From Bangladeshi to Pakistani to Indian dishes (and beyond), the flavors really highlighted the diversity within the Indian subculture in East London. These were the kinds of hidden, off-the-beaten-path places that as a foreign traveler I'd never know to seek out on my own. The tour struck a perfect balance between delicious food, cultural insight, and great conversation within our small group of five travelers. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique, authentic, and flavorful experience in London that goes far beyond the typical tourist stops.

If you want something a bit different to do while you're in London, I really recommend checking out…read moresome Chocolate or Ice Cream tours from this company. I think they are the first ones to offer this type of London tour. No, they will not take you to chocolate factories. What they do is even better. They take you to local artisan chocolate and ice-cream shops in London (mainly in Mayfair/ Chelsea/ Soho/ Covent Garden areas), all of the shops offer high-quality handmade chocolate and ice-cream and it's so tasty that you will think "Where has this been all my life and what kind of chocolate did I eat before now?". The gelaterias are also some of the best in London, I will definitely go back to some of them to try their milkshake. With Ice cream of that quality and so flavourful, I'm sure that the milkshakes will taste delicious. I still remember the taste of the white peach and melon gelato. Besides the tasty side of the tour, you will also get to hear lots of history nuggets and interesting trivia about the streets you are walking on, about the history of chocolate, how it's made, where it comes from and so on. I guarantee that you will learn things that you never knew before about chocolate or about London. The guides are so very knowledgeable and really welcoming too. I'm quite shy, but I still enjoyed talking about my favorite topic - chocolate. Another thing I liked is that the groups are not big, no more than 8 or 10 people at a time, so it's not crowded (like you might feel on a Thames tour, for example, when the boat is full of people). These tours are worth anyone's time and money and they make for great, original gifts too (well... the other person must be a chocolate lover, though ) . I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with them and I would love to go on another tour soon.

The facts were interesting (both about ice cream, since our tour guide was a food scientist, and about London/Soho), the ice cream was delicious and I loved having her as our 'Tour Mom' (she had extra spoons for each spot, napkins, wet wipes, water, savoury snacks if needed, you name it!). Unfortunately we were a little behind schedule so we missed one of the places we intended to go to because it closed, but at the end of the tour you get a bunch of coupons for all the places you go (and don't go) to. I think the beginning of the tour could have been more engaging because we sat around the table to begin with and it was hard to hear everyone at that first ice cream shop, and unfortunately it was the shop where we spent the most time, but it was fun nonetheless and we made do! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more about Soho/London or anyone who is an ice cream enthusiast!

We did free tour with Dave. He was super great! When we did this tour it was on and off raining. So these tours happen rain or shine. The tour was focused on the castle aka the royal tour. Yes, you can go online to learn the history, but you will not learn the little tidbits about areas or key figures. I highly recommend any tours with Sandeman's. We easily booked on line a couple months in advance of our trip to Stonehenge, Bath and a Secret Place. I had a few questions, which were answered quickly through email. Instructions and itinerary were provided after we bought we tickets. Additional and helpful information was sent a few day prior to our trip. Noelh, our tour guide, was knowledgable, interesting and fun from the moment he picked us up in London. He provided information beyond the tour stops. He was engaging and had a good understanding of the geology of Stonehenge as well as the historical background. He made well time stops for breaks. We spent about two hours at Stonehenge, two hours at Bath and an hour at the Secret Place. The Secret Place was worth the extra and I highly recommend. Noelh offered a brief and interesting walking tour at each site and left us time to explore on our own. We were allowed to bring snacks on the bus but we didn't need them because we stopped plenty at places for food and drink. Noelh provided water. Bring water and rain gear. There were UBC ports for phone charging on the bus. The bus was very comfortable. Noelh was sensitive to a woman that was having mobility issues and arranged for her to skip part of the walking tour. I enjoyed Stonehenge and the Secret Place immensely, I was glad I saw Bath, but it was too crowded during our visit. Others on the tour really loved Bath. I highly recommend The English Bus tours.
