We did the Warner Brothers Studio Harry Potter tour and had a terrible experience--zero stars! We were among the first on the bus and were told to sit upstairs, even though we were the first pickup and others who boarded later at the second stop got to stay downstairs. The upper level felt like an oven with no air, despite it not being a particularly hot day. Everyone was trying to adjust the vents, and one woman even went down to tell the tour guide it was hot. He came up and agreed, but nothing changed. They were incredibly unorganized, holding us up at the second stop while figuring out where to seat people. I think they even split up a parent and child behind us because when they were making people change seats, I heard a lady say "she's only 6 years old!". Why not just assign seats??? We left late, and the guide assured us they'd adjust our return time, but they certainly did NOT. Instead of the advertised four hours at the studio, we got off the bus at 2:50 and had to be back by 6:20, losing a full 30 minutes. They took forever letting people off the bus, letting the group that came on 2nd get off first, while we sweated upstairs. When I got off and complained about the heat and the time, the male tour guide was very rude, sarcastically telling me to "come back after four hours," implying we'd be left behind. I mentioned that the lady tour guide made an announcement saying "don't worry, your time will be adjusted so you will have the 4 full hours", and she said, "the time has passed". I have no idea what that means. The male tour guide denied it was hot, claiming some people said it was cold. I seriously doubt that. Maybe it was cooler downstairs, but we baked upstairs. Cool air didn't start coming through until we were nearly at the studios. If you read older reviews, which i should have, you will see this is an ongoing problem with them. Because of the sweltering ride, my husband got car sick (which he never does) and couldn't do the tour, staying near the entrance to rest and drink water. I took my kids, including my adult son with autism, and we rushed through everything, worried we'd get stuck and miss the bus, giving us more stress he didn't need, If you love someone with autism, you know what I mean. The studio itself was awesome, what we got to see of it. Funny, on the way back the air conditioner suddenly started working so they made everyone suffer in the heat for nothing. All of a sudden, they were also able to open the sunroofs on the top of the bus to get air, and as they did, they were hitting tree branches and pieces of the trees were falling on people's heads that were sitting there. The driver drove like a maniac and stopped short several times. And to finish the lousy day off, the bus hit something and the side mirror broke, and we were dumped at the side of the road with no explanation to use upstairs, nowhere near where we were supposed to be let off, so we had to pay even more money on a cab to get back to our hotel. I suppose I should be happy that he didn't hit something closer to the studios, because I'm sure they would have dumped us there too without a care. Go with any other company or just go on your own. I wish we did. Stay away from this company! read more

A Frustrating and Poorly Organized Experience Save your money and look elsewhere. What was advertised as a full-day tour turned out to be a stressful, disorganized ordeal that left us scrambling to see the sights we had paid for. Too Much Ground, Not Enough Time For a 12-hour tour covering Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and the Roman Baths, the time allocated at each stop was woefully inadequate. At Windsor Castle, after waiting in the entry queue, we were left with barely over an hour to explore -- nowhere near enough time to do it justice. At the Roman Baths, we again had just over an hour before being herded back onto the bus for the two-hour return journey to London. If you actually want to see what you paid to see, you'll be constantly rushing. No Lunch Break There is no scheduled lunch break on this 12-hour tour. If you want to eat, you must sacrifice precious sightseeing time to do so. This is simply unacceptable for a full-day excursion and should be clearly disclosed upfront. No Support When It Matters Our guide, Pablo, walked us to the entrance of Windsor Castle and then returned to the bus -- leaving us entirely on our own. When we had difficulty locating the bus afterward, we called the tour operator office for help. The response was shockingly unhelpful: we were told we could either wait a few hours for another bus back to London or find our own way. When we explained we still wanted to see Stonehenge, we were told the company doesn't recommend making the journey independently -- yet no assistance was offered. We ended up taking an Uber at our own expense ($150 USD) just to reach the next stop on the tour we had already paid for. An Indifferent Guide When we finally caught up with our group at Stonehenge, Pablo was sitting on the bus rather than guiding anyone. When we asked if we had enough time to see the site, he told us we might have time for a quick photo. Not a word of acknowledgment that we had gone through an ordeal to get there. Basic courtesy and professionalism were entirely absent. Bottom Line This tour has serious structural flaws -- insufficient time at each location, no meal break, no way to reach your guide in an emergency, and customer service that leaves you stranded when things go wrong. We will not be using Evan Evans Tours again and would strongly caution others against booking this particular trip. read more

We had a tour scheduled on July 4th in London. We had no idea that London Pride was that day as well. As a result, the streets, including our pick up, was closed. I messaged and called and received no response. When asking for refund, we were refused. I was told that all tours ran on schedule which was a lie. The map shows otherwise. Right next to The Ritz, Green Park Station, streets were closed! It was impossible I even posted a review where another person had the same issue. They should have known better. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. We booked a day trip from London to Windsor, Bath, and Stonehenge. Our tour guide, Jes, and driver, Lucas, we're incredible. Lucas was a smooth, careful driver. It is a long trip, but the time flew by when listening to Jes's engaging tales of the places we were about to visit and the landscapes we were experiencing. Jeton, our coach driver, was friendly and navigated some back roads well due to an expected road closure. I thought the information provided about where to meet was clearly explained, and we reserved an uber to pick us up early enough to be at the designated departure location on time. Some positives and some negatives. We did the Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath (starting the journey at 8AM). First, this is too many activities for the day so I do not recommend this particular tour. Our tour guide was great, but the tour itself was just too much for a single day. Days before we left I called to ensure there was a restroom on the bus and they said they couldn't guarantee it because "it depends on who their partner is that day and which coach they bring." I think that is terrible not to have a partner who will guarantee a toilet. You are on the road for more than six hours (not straight, but still)! The bus, as it turned out, was fairly nice with a toilet. So all good there in actuality. Our first stop was Windsor, but we were not there that long, again, by packing too many things into the day. We walked the 15 minutes to the line and we were in line for a considerable amount of time. So we had to pick a part of the castle to, as our guide said, "get a bit of the essence of the place." So, that is what we did. But, you also need to make time for lunch and take the 15-minute walk back, etc. Then, off to Stonehenge for what was 60 minutes, including using the facilities, waiting in line, doing a quick walk around Stonehenge, etc. and be back to the bus to go to Bath. Anyway, you get it. And, then, getting from Bath back to London is not easy, especially with London traffic. Anyway, it is simply too much for one day. Pick one or two activities, not the three activities option unless you (a) want to be on a bus for more than six hours of drive time and (b) rush through the stops. TLDR: Three activities is too much for one day, great tour guide. If you have kids you would be bringing, don't even think about this tour! read more

We were given two hours for our first stop at Windsor Castle. We skipped 1/3 audio guide and walked through the castle. By the time we reached the exit, it was closed for changing guard. When it reopened, there were tons of people in the area and we had only about 10 minutes left. Unfortunately, we made a wrong turn and got lost in the crowds and missed the bus in the end. I wish the guide can direct people near the exit instead of just waiting in the bus. I pre purchased all entry tickets with total tour cost $400+ for 2 people. Per their policy, the unused tickets (Stonehenge & Bath in my case) are non refundable, meaning they get to keep the ticket money. They actually make money by dumping people. Tip 1: To minimize your loss for any unforeseen situation and make yourself flexible, do not pre purchase entry tickets, you can always buy them from the guide on the bus We waited at the end point for the bus and got our stuffs back that we left on the bus. This is the best and quickest way. Most people never get to see their stuffs again once it's packed and shipped to storage/office. Tip 2: Make sure you know the return time and location of the end point and do not leave anything important on the bus. read more

It was the worst experience l've ever had with tour! It has not happened before. Our tour guide, Godfrey, left us behind in Windsor Castle! We came at the exact time we were supposed to be in the parking (not 1 min late or 1 min early) but when we reached the parking I saw the bus passed in front of us and left us behind. I'm sure he doesn't care if we leave the review and he's 100% sure we would do that. He said in the beginning that he would sleep very well when he knew he left people behind!!! Such a bad tour guide with such a miserable low character. He doesn't even mind to wait for couple of minutes to wait for people like other normal pleasant tour guides. He actually loves to ruin people plan and vacation and leave them behind in the middle of nowhere to make sure he ruined their vacation. I'm sorry for him!! He manages the tour like a school principal or like a military!!! No fun!! No patience! No empathy! No conscience!! First of all, I totally should of read the other reviews and comments. Our tour started out great-coach was nice and clean. Tour guide was pleasant and driver was good at his job. Perhaps this tour company tries to cram too many stops into a daily tour. I was with my husband (somewhat handicapped with 2 new artificial knees) and our 2 friends. We totally were "rushed" through the entire day. Barely having enough time to use the restroom, let alone get something to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the review from the guy who's girlfriend broke up with him. It would of been nice to have been made aware the coach had a restroom, as 99.9% of the group had no idea. Our tour left 3 people at the 1st stop, and a few at Stonehenge. Wasn't too distressed regarding these folks that were left behind as they were all rude and pushy ( see ya!) The shuttle at Stonehenge took forever (60+ minutes) Whoever is in charge of that needs to do better. We barely made it back to the bus (1 minute to spare) plus when we finally got to the Stones we had 2 minutes!!! Took 2 pictures of just the frontside. Not the way we planned to take in this historic site. Last stop was Oxford-a total waste of 15 minutes... We were so stressed regarding finding a restroom that we didn't even follow the guide. Grabbing something to eat and running back to the coach while eating it was a mess! And now for the finale... overheard the driver and guide talking about dropping the entire group in the middle of the road ( not even close to the initial pick up or drop off) They mentioned their shift ended at exactly 7:30pm and they needed to get to their next event.. We all exited the Coach at exactly 7:30 ( so glad they weren't late for their next job!!) Well, usually we are generous tippers...My $100 tip stayed right in my pocket. I'm assuming all of my fellow travelers did the same. The tip basket looked empty to me as I exited. They certainly screwed themselves out of any tips at all. Patrick, our driver, was an expert at navigating the heavy traffic. Our bus was clean. We picked 2 destinations, rather than 3, so we had enough time at each. These tours are made or broken based on your guides. In this case, we had Saul as our guide and Pavel was our driver. Both were very good. Saul was so knowledgeable and Pavel made sure we got everywhere safely. The highlight of this tour for us was Stonehenge which is mostly what we wanted to see and it was even better than we expected. Windsor and Bath are bonus stops. I am not sure if I had to do it again that I cared enough about those two stops to go it again. I almost wished we would have shortened the day and just did Stonehenge. It was Easter week so it was very crowded everywhere. Saul was really good about giving us recommendations at each stop and making sure we knew the times to be back. You could tell he really cared about us and took extra steps to make sure we had a good time. All told with the traffic, this was a 12 hour day and while worth it, it was also exhausting. read more

They offer day tours from London and it was a lot of fun and a long day, and I would recommend them if you want to hit a few things outside London. It's great for the transportation and the facts gained along the way. The EE area at Victoria Station wasn't super well marked, and we randomly saw a guide giving out bracelets and went to get checked off and find the bus gate. We figured it out but the directions with the ticket weren't super clear. We also left about 20 minutes late. I went on a 12 hour (approximately) tour including Blenheim Palace, Downtown Abbey Village, and the Cotswolds. Our guide Chrissy talked almost the whole drive about facts along our drive, which I appreciated. Our first stop was Bourton-on-the-Water, an adorable little town with shops, eateries, and a quaint river running through town. This was a great place to shop and maybe grab tea or ice cream. I wish we had a little longer here or that we were told it was the best option for food. We did a lot more strolling around than dining. Next stop, Bampton, or the Downton Abbey Village (where they shot village scenes, not including the Abbey itself). This was great reference points for fans. We had a lot less time here and was much less time to walk to anything, but it was nice seeing show locations in person. Our final stop was Blenheim Palace, ancestral home of the Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Winston Churchill. This palace is AMAZING. You can only see part of the house since the Duke lives in part, but the rooms on view are so richly decorated that your eyes will just need a moment to soak it all in. The audio tour includes a lot of good information and you can take pictures in here. It's also gorgeous walking around the gardens in the back. There's a small interesting exhibit on Churchill. Definitely the true highlight of the tour and would have been hard to get to without a car, so glad to have had a way to get and see this only non-royal palace. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned. You could leave your stuff on when you got off at stops (no valuables but nice to leave a backpack and not have to carry). They actually made a couple stops in London if you didn't want to depart from the Victoria Coach Station, which was really helpful to get off on near a different Underground Station. Overall, it was a long day, but seeing the English countryside was a lovely contrast to the bustling of London and an excellent day trip. If I return to the area, I would check out their other tour options. read more

Paid 230GBP for 2, waste of money, got nothing, not even entry to St Paul's. Asked 2x via email & once in person for refund, finally replied 3 days later, "No refund, we can't control St Paul's schedule." Other tours like Viator have ample communication, but Evan Evans is THE WORST, save your money and tour on your own. read more

I am on the bus back from Bath right now so I will give my opinion while it is fresh. My family and I (2 adults and 2 kids aged 10 &12) just took the Windsor-Stonehenge-Bath tour and I feel it only appeals to a specific type of person. You should take this tour if you just broke up with your girlfriend and need to take pictures of multiple famous sites in England to prove to her and her new better-looking boyfriend that you are, in fact, doing well and aren't crying yourself to sleep every night. If that is you then this tour will allow you JUST ENOUGH time to take selfies at Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath to show how great you are doing. Make sure to photoshop the red out of your eyes before posting. IF, however, you are interested in seeing any of these sites at a slower pace than a moving walkway at an airport you should absolutely avoid this tour at all costs. From the start of our day to the end we were rushed through the process, made to stand in multiple lines even though tourists not in the Evans-Evans group were being let through, and threatened with abandonment if we weren't back on the bus at a specific time. On the Windsor leg we were told we would have "plenty" of time to explore the town after the castle. Unfortunately, we spent 90 minutes standing in a line in the rain which we were told we had to be in because we were with this group. This meant a mad dash through the castle to "see everything" before getting back to the bus just in time (noon) before it took off for the next destination. Our tour bus actually ended up leaving a family of five with a baby stroller behind, so if you take this tour believe them when they say they will leave you. Next was the trip to Stonehenge. Our tour guide mumbled some boiler plate information about the formation and its origins. We got to the parking lot and were told we had 45 minutes to get back to the bus or, again, we would be abandoned. For those who haven't been to Stonehenge, the parking lots are actually about 1.5 miles from the monument, accessible either by shuttle or by foot on a narrow country road. We opted for the visitor's shuttle, which was a 10 min trip with stops and loading of the other tourists. So now we had 35 min to view a World Heritage sites that probably deserves a little more time for education and reflection. No such luck on the Evans & Evans tour. We did a quick lap around the stones, took our photos for the 'Gram, and then got back in line for the shuttle with 15 minutes to spare. Unfortunately, the sheer volume of visitors made it so we waited for 3 shuttles to come and go before we got on the shuttle and then sprinted back to the bus so the tour couldn't make good on their promise and abandon us in the barrows. Next stop was Bath, again with some perfunctory reading of facts about the hot springs and Italian architecture. We were yet again told we had 45 min to get out, tour the baths, drink the spring water and, oh yeah, "don't forget to get something to eat" because it's a 2.5 hour long bus ride back to London. So most of our tour skipped the Roman Baths so they could get something to eat (it was 3:45 by this point with no previous stop for lunch or snacks). Then at Bath the bus was 15 minutes late so we ended up cutting our tour short only to stand in a group on the sidewalk like a bunch of bowling pins waiting for their doom. Now we are on the way back to London and our tour guide is telling us mundane facts about London. I'm very disappointed in this experience and hope that I can spare future travelers from wasting an entire day of your precious vacation on it like we did. Bright spot: in Bath (hopefully with a different tour) visit the Bath Sausage Company street stall for a delicious sausage on a roll with some mustard and onions. Zero Stars. I Spoke to the Viator customer care rep for an hour, he booked the tour on the call and he reassured us that entry to Windsor, Stonehenge, and the Baths in Bath are included. The confirmation & tickets also stated all three entries are included. HOWEVER, we were only allowed into Stonehenge. This happened to several passengers. Nice people that became very disgruntled. - The tour guide Omar "said" we could buy a ticket to Windsor Plaice but that was not possible because the tickets are for timed entry and the first available was after the bus left. And we were reassured multiple times like kindergarteners that we will be left if not on time. - WHY would we want to take a 12 hour bus ride to have 30 minutes at Stonehenge? That 30 minutes includes a shuttle from the parking lot to the site. - Tour guide was not empathetic to the situation. He refused to review our tickets and confirmation. - The tour guide repeatedly said the same information. In saying that he wasn't very informative. Nothing about the countryside, history or culture, just a bus ride. Omar, our guide was not engaging, he was rude, and not knowledgeable. The man hates his job and if not, he is terrible at it. - Repeatedly our Omar told us "There is little time at the sites but you signed up for 3 sites so that's what you get." In truth, what we did is hire a company Viator/ Evan Evans to do the planning and it was poor. - On the way home, It seemed the bus had a flat tire, there was a flapping sound on the front right tire. The bus pulled over for a few minutes then started driving again with no explanation. None. People on the bus were very concerned about safety. - Tour guide Omar never mentioned there is a bathroom on board. I knew it as I am experienced taking bus tours. I had to let people on the bus know where to "go" as they wandered back and forth. - The bathroom had no water, soap, sanitizer or napkins. Nasty. - Paying for WiFi on a bus tour that has no music and no guide for hours is poor. I booked a tour to visit Windsor and an after hours visit to the interior of Stonehenge. Rowen and Andy were wonderful. The tour guide Leslie and coach driver Mike were great. limited time at Stonehenge though. They are strict on the timing. AMERICAN and ASIAN TOURISTS - Avoid!!! (You will thank me later) This Tour is so unorganized that Americans (I am from Seattle) and Asians (who has numerous well conducted tours) will be in a shock. Here are the major surprises: 1. When you book the tour they don't tell you that all people in your family/group may not travel together!!!! There are multiple buses and you are not guaranteed to travel together. How on earth do you expect that when you go as family, your kids might be traveling separately from you?? I have taken conducted tours world over, and never have had this bizzare expectation. 2. My boarding was at 7:30AM. When I got to the meet up location (Victoria Coach Station), there was a boarding gate with our exact tour company, tour name and tour time displayed, with people lining up. I lined up as well, and after a long wait (15 mins), I got near the bus, and the Guide tell me - "Oh you are not on this bus, you need to go back and talk to one of the people running around with the "List". Time is now 7;45AM. I caught one of those "List" people and she pointed me to another bus. I caught up with that bus' guide (one Mr. Robert) (time 7:50AM), and he tells me that seats are almost all taken, and find single spots here and there and sit. We are a family of 4 with two kids, and they expect YOUR KIDS TO SIT WITH STRANGERS OR, ON DIFFERENT BUS --- FOR A 12 HR TOUR!!!!!! Obviously, there were no seats together, so I went back to the tour Guide (Robert) and asked him why do four of us have to split and travel separately even after booking together, and even after arriving at 7:30PM. His reply was that "You were late" - even ignoring the fact that I stood in line since 7:30 on the exact tour's line. When telling him that "This should have been mentioned at booking time", he threatened to kick me and kids out of the tour. So I asked for and talked to a supervisor. He was understanding and acknowledged that they should have made it clear on the booking site that that all parties may not travel/sit together, but was largely helpless - since Robert seem to tell him out right - I am not doing anything to accommodate. In the meanwhile, another lady with clipboard came listening to the conversation and without any prompt or context (that I came early and stood in the line and then got redirected after 15 minutes), started telling me "YOU CAME LATE AND EXPECT TO SIT TOGETHER? I AM GOING TO MAKE A DECISION TO GO WITHOUT YOU SINCE IT IS 8 O CLOCK". I know when a company tries to help and when one hires staff who talks to certain foreign origin customers with some preconceived bias, so I walked away quietly (I am of Indian origin, so may be the lady thought she could bully me into shutting up). Anyway, thanks to some people in the bus, two of my kids were able to sit together in the last seat. When I got inside the bus, it looked like automatically the people in the last rows of seat were all non British tourists - so there's that! Lastly, I am 5' 6" tall. Look at my leg room in the picture. If you are any taller than that you will be sitting in an awkward position for 8 hrs. AVOID! Pay more and hire a private tour elsewhere or find a better tour company - there are many operating out of Victoria Coach Station. read more
