The blonde older lady working in the tequila section on Saturday was just flat out rude. My boyfriend and I were looking for recommendations for tequila. She made it seem like we were there to get drunk??? She had an attitude basically the whole time she was talking to me. For no reason. At one point I said "never mind" and wanted to walk away but she tried to make up for her attitude and gave us a couple options to try. The tequila was great and both my boyfriend and I agreed we were gonna come back to purchase the Suavecito (but we already had our hearts set on a wine from a wine sample we tried). The gentleman at the wine section was a whole lotttt friendlier. Since we tried a couple of tequila samples and didn't buy any tequila at the time, when we walked away, she said "All that and you still didn't buy anything". Girl. The attitude. Just flat out rude. If you're so miserable at your job, find a new one. Also it's so uncomfortable being followed around the whole time you shop there. Literally feels like hawks around you. I definitely won't be back. I love coming here for the wine classes! I think this store in particular does the best ones! This time the class was about Italian wines! Stew and Mark always make it so fun! They are both very knowledgeable about the wines, and always answer everyone's questions. They also give generous pours. The snacks they had were different bruschettas, and they were delicious! A lot of the wines we sampled in this class were less then $20 which is an awesome price point for good wine. I definitely took home a few bottles. Highly recommend taking a class here. read more

Big shout out to Stuart and Mark for leading the classes at this location. We have been to 3 wine classes now and it is such a fun date night. For $20 pp, you get to learn about the wines, the regions, and how to pair the wines well. They educate everyone, no matter the amount of knowledge you already have, which it makes it approachable to those just starting off in their wine journey. With family from the bay area who often took trips up to Sonoma and Napa (and brought us along), they would be spewing out all this information and opinions on wines which I could barely keep up with. I'd be smiling and nodding my head in most cases. With these classes, it is broken down very well and I am actually able to understand exactly what I can be looking for in wines and how to continue my education and appreciation of wines without all the extra fluff. read more

Put us on the spot multiple times. One wasn't even helpful when we weren't sure were the class was etc.. We loved the idea of a date under $50 for a new experience. I think I was hoping they'd get better, but apparently that's not going to be the case so leaving my one star review and then leaving them alone. They are extremely slow and the register team isn't friendly - not sure if they are stressed or just not happy but that's not my issue. More than once have I picked up something by whim because they have so many cool items. And the items at the check-out lane will truly have you grabbing items off the shelf before checking out. So why not five-stars? The organization in here can make it hard to locate some things. Why are hard seltzers in three different areas, who knows? One of the best Store locations in the valley when you're looking for any type of Alcohol-related items!. The staff is helpful but sometimes it depends as you may come in and have a staff member in your face every time you turn the corner or you could be turning the corner looking for a staff member trying to find help. Either way, the selections are good and the price points are comparative to any of the other big warehouse places so don't think you're getting that much of a discount when you go to Costco or Sam's Club. Typically I like the local shops and business but my taste always varies and having everything in one place is helpful. I'm not a beer connoisseur but after walking up and down the aisle, I recognize so many select and seasonal beers I've had over the years. During the holidays you can head directly to the back and pick up holiday bundles that are perfect gifts... or if your like me and break cocktail glasses often, you pick up a Kettle One set with 4 perfectly sized glasses to use immediately. Me and two of my friends went to this store to buy ingredients to make pina coladas we were coming from our pool so me and one other didn't have anything with us (not even our phones) When we went to check out I had a bottle of pineapple juice and coconut cream in my hand and my friend had the bottle of rum. We proceeded to try to check out (I am 22, and they are both 23) and the check out lady immediately announced on the phone to the entire store "id check we need an id check immediately at the cash register". It took about five minutes for the manager to come up and check my friends id say it was good then the checkout lady said that she wanted to group id us, although only one of us was buying. Moral of the story make sure everyone with you has their wallet and id ready or the checkout lady is going to give you some problems. This is the first time this has happened to us at this store and it does have great prices although every other time we've all had our ids and they only needed to check one, not sure what was so different about this time. read more

So my sister and I went to go and pick up this new drink I wanted to taste. When we got there it was nice, clean and surprisingly not busy on a Thursday night at closing time. We got to the back of the store and we saw a worker and we asked him where was this certain kind of drink and he knows his job and told us exactly where to go and we got the drink and was excited it was and not that expensive! We then took it to the register to check out and the cashier was awesome! Her name was Sierra and she laughed and joked with us as we were rung up. I now have my favorite wine and know where to find it. They allow me to bring in a canvas bag and the clerks are friendly. The check out lines are long but do not take too much time. I have been going to this store (on Warner and I-10) for years, but more than once the managers on the floor are snobbish and don't care to talk to or be courteous to the customers. If they don't want to interact or just stand around in the way of customers shopping, they should hide in their offices, not be seen on the floor.. The sales staff are quite nice, but these over-paid old beards should just disappear. They should undergo serious customer-relation training, as in any other merchandise venues. The lines were super long and I just happened upon a line that she was busy assisting a lady with something else not purchase related. I asked if her line was open. She politely said it will be if you can give me a few minutes. After I realized she probably wasn't open but assisting maybe with a return or something else, I felt bad. I apologized and said I'll get in another line it's no problem. She said no you're fine I can take care of you. She was super friendly and professional. I asked her name and she said Kirsten. I thanked her immensely for her kindness. I learned she's a beer manager and is very passionate about her job. You need more employees like Kirsten at all of your stores. Got a prompt email confirmation for the order and after work, I went to pick up the order. Upon arrival, I was greeted with smiles by two of their employees and I went to the customer service counter to get the order. I was assisted by a man named Dannon and he was awesome!
